Lukas looked out the window and thought. He had a lot on his mind and he wanted to think through it. He went to his office and picked up a law textbook and started to read.

Cassie smiled and got up and hugged him. She looked up at him. "Work was good but I have to go to the other office Monday... I should be back late Tuesday though." She said and looked at him trying to gage his reaction. She hoped he would not be too mad. Her dad was not too happy.

Sasha looked over when he left, she frowned a little, but went back to making dinner, hummung a little as she did so to keep herself focused on the food.

"Aww, what will I ever do without you?" Mark asked as he hugged her back, looking down at her, "I want to come with you, I am sure I can find an excuse." he teased as he kissed her cheek and smiled at her.

Lukas studied. He was hoping he could reteach himself. He was starting to do it.

Cassie smiled at him. "You don't have to come. I will be okay. I don't want you to have to miss work to go plus, my dad wants to see the new office so he is coming. So I won't be totally alone." She said to him.

"Good." he said softly, he kissed her gently, "I don't want you going anywhere alone just yet, so I am glad that your dad can go with you." he said softly.

Cassie smiled at him. She kissed him back. "He doesn't either. But I don't understand why you guys are freaking out so much I will be fine. I am staying at the hotel alone since he is wanting to camp and I think it is too cold." She said. "He might Head back to Australia from there he can't decide yet." She added.

He nodded as he looked at her and held her close and kissed her forehead, he really did care about her, and he wanted her happy, "I was hoping that he would stay longer." he admitted softly as he looked at her.

"Me too. Convincing him to stay is impossible since he doesn't want to. He wants to go with his friends and find his new normal. I don't like it but I don't have a reason he needs to stay so I can't do anything. Unless you can think of a way to get him to stay. I wanted him to stay for mom's birthday so he would not be alone and he says he will be fine." She said hugging him.

Mark sighed and nodded, he kissed her forehead, "I'm sorry Cass." he said as he looked down at her, he really did love her, and all he wanted her was to be happy, but he did understand her dadwanting to get back to normal as best as he could.

"It's not your fault. I am glad he got to know you a little bit. It really means a lot to me. I know my mom wanted them both to meet you so I am so glad she got part of her wish. That is what really matters. I am just worried that he will get back and not talk to anyone and withdraw from everyone. That is the type of person he is." She said and looked over as her father walked into the room.

Mark nodded and sighed softly, he kissed her forehead before looking over at her father when he walked in, "Want to watch a movie with us?" he asked as he looked over at him.
