The day had started out rather lackadaisically, churning out events at an extremely lethargic rate. Even though
Ryn had grown mildly accustom to the new routines of a more mundane life, sometimes the rush of energy in
his blood couldn't be sated by meditation or kicking back to some music. Energy for the guy didn't run in short
supply and was in fact a generous contributor to his ability to keep the shop safe and cleaned at nearly all hours
of the week. Any man needed sleep, but when nightmares plagued and ate away at what sweet dreams you'd
hoped to have, slumber wasn't always something to look forward to or participate in.
A regular had waltzed into the shop, his name was Edgar-- a stout elder whose hair was thinning and skin was
sprouting arbitrary age spots across his cheeks and arms. Gran had went out for the day in hopes of attending
the local beauty festival down the road on the corner of Baker street-- leaving the cafe in the very skilled and
capable hands of a Mr. Hatanaka. Eyes were fixated on the television, the thick scent of coffee beans and curry
hung heavy in the atmosphere of the little building-- it drew strangers in typically, but it must've been a rather
slow day.
The ring of a bell was all it took, causing the barista to turn his head and gaze at the incoming customer. A
young girl whose soft bags under her visionaries spoke to what she needed. Sharp jawline was further defined
as he clenched his teeth for a moment, only to pivot upon his heel and start on her drink. A double shot of
espresso stirred into a bit of dark roasted Italian blend would be a good combatant to the disease that was
fatigue. A dollop of cream and about a teaspoon full of a cinnamon and nutmeg fusion was carefully sprinkled
into the mug, creating a perfectly blond cup of joe. Politely did Ryn set down the cup and a container of cane
sugar in front of the blue haired belle, tipping his head in respect before taking a step back and folding his
arms firmly across his chest.
He hadn't seen her around before.
