"Just let me know by next Friday." I say and continue to eat my food with out another word. I scooped some chicken from my plate to his before standing to wrap up the left overs.

Kelsie-
I nodded, the thoughts of his injuries burying deep into my mind. It killed me to see him hurt, and I knew he would get hurt even worse by Friday. I ate the last of my dinner than stood up and followed Link.

Link:
Placing the left overs in the fridge I then take his plate and wash it. " Are you going to work with me again tomorrow?" I ask him, turning to face him as I lean my back on the counter. I gently lay a hand in his cheek, my thumb brushing against the bruises. "I'm glad Cody didn't hurt you again." I say.

Kelsie-
My icy blue eyes met his for a few seconds as he brushed over the bruises on my face, "H-He just yelled at me t-today. I think h-he was more m-mad at another guy." I then gave a quick nod, "Y-yeah...I want to work with you."

Link:
I give him a sad smile, "I'll talk with my boss and see ifnyou can get a permanent job there." I say and kiss his forehead. "I'm going to take a shower." With that I head towards the bathroom.

Kelsie-
I didn't say anything, but I was glad he would make an effort to get me a job. When he left to take a shower, I went and sat by the window in the living room, looking out over the city.

Link:
I took a long shower letting the hot water run on my knee for a while. Stepping out I dry off and dress before taking two pain pills then walking into our room. It was freezing. Turning off the fan I get another blanket and place it over our bed.

Kelsie-
I pressed my face against the cold glass, my breath leaving a fog. As the sky grew darker, neon lights lit up the streets for miles. It was quite a sight.

Link:
I quietly walk into the living room and lean on the wall watching him, my eyes full of love. I didn't say anything, not wanting to startle him as I went to get something to drink.

Kelsie-
After a few more minutes I stood up and walked to our bedroom, where I changed into pjs. I knew it was early but I was tired. I climbed into my side of the bed and got comfortable in the blankets and pillows.
