James let her lean on him and he smiled a bit as she did. "I don't care what they say. Spending time with you has made me feel happy again. I thought that I was never going to get that back and to have it right now is the most amazing feeling." He said to her. He looked at Moose and smiled a little. "You may think that they matter more but they really don't. Your opinion matters a lot to me and I just want you to be okay. What can I do to help you?" He asked looking at her. He rubbed her back a little more hoping that it would help.

Lenore winced once, hard. "I hate to ask, do you have some food." Lenore hated to ask for any kind of help, she felt as if t burdened people. Moose started to crawl over the pair. Lenore tried to sit up but at this point was too weak. "I'm sorry, I've just been working all day to get ready for this darn ball." She yawned and curses up into a little ball, which was most comfortable for her at the moment.

"I will be right back." James said and got up. He walked out the door and came back a few minutes later with a three course meal. It was things that he was always served since the chef and thought it was for him. He set it down at his desk and then carefully picked her up and sat her in the chair. "There you go." He said smiling a little at her. He really hoped that this would help her.

Lenore smiled a bit and curled her legs up under the skirt of her gown. "Thank you, your highness." She started to eat as Moose threw a pillow off the bed since no one was paying attention to him. "You can go if you want. I really will be fine after this." She looked into her lap, she just couldn't help but feel like a burden to him. Lenore's hunger pains started to go away and she began to stand up, still needed the chair for support. It didn't seem that she would be able to move very well for a while.

"No problem. I will go but only because one of my advisors saw me in the hall but please stay until I return okay?" James asked her and then walked out. He was gone for a while in his office getting a talking to by his advisors. Not that he really minded much. He walked out to the party and apologized using the exact words that were handed to him a moment before. He then explained that his behavior was due to the lack of sleep from planning the war and that he was going to retire for the night. He then bowed and left heading back up to his room. He shut the door after he walked in and took off his crown. "Well, I am done for the night." He said.

Lenore was mostly asleep curled up next to Moose on James' bed. She had tried to stay awake to thank him but she was so exhausted she just couldn't do it. Moose got ridiculously excited when he saw James, his whole body wiggled. Lenore had managed to at least get off most of the underskirt of her dress so it wasn't as "poofy". She looked like she was having somewhat of a nightmare with her brow furrowed in confusion. Lenore wasn't even aware that she had fallen asleep at this point. Her mind wander to James, and what he thought of her, the kind words he said to her earlier when he brought her food.

James smiled seeing that she was asleep. He carefully covered her up before he went into the bathroom and changed into some more comfortable clothes. He then grabbed a blanket and ruffled Moose's fur before he laid down on his couch and covered up and went to sleep. He woke up early the next morning to a knock on his door. He got a list of stuff that he had to do. He sighed and took the list and his breakfast tray. He only took the apple off of it leaving the rest for Lenore.

Lenore jumped up when she heard the door close, a few expletives ran through her mind as she quickly got her stuff together before sneaking out and going back to her store where she changed and showered. Moose got his breakfast as he watched her start on her next order. Little girls stopped by all day long simply to watch her work. Everything she did was just stunning, the stitch work, the beading, even one of her dresses would go for a normal worker's week's wages, if she was feeling generous. Lenore realized she still had his handkerchief wrapped around her hand and sighed wistfully. She wondered if it was all a crazy dream.

James came back to see that she was gone. He sighed knowing that he would have to find her later so they could talk. He had to get some work done now though. He changed and went into his office before he got some work done but his mind kept drifting to her. When he had gotten enough done to take a break, he walked out of the palace followed by a royal guard. Both were dressed casually so they would not draw attention to themselves. It was late afternoon and he walked to her dress shop hoping to find her there.

Lenore's hair was back down, so much so that it was in her face when she looked down. A few girls were sitting at her counter making bows. Lenore looked like a southern belle in her off the shoulder dress, although the bags under her eyes indicated that she hadn't stopped working since she left the palace that morning. As she heard the bell about the door ring Lenore didn't even look up. "Can I help you?" Moose however knew exactly who it was and ran right over to James, extremely excited.
