Lenore walked closer to him. “There was no more you could’ve done for me. I am grateful for every moment I have the privilege to spend with you. I just do not want the people to lose faith in me. Besides, I can’t be married with these huge bruises on my wrists. They’re hideous.”

"They will not lose faith in you. They never would. They never lost faith in me and I am rarely not a mess. The only time I am not totally messed up is when I am with you. But I am not ever going to force you into this. We could have pushed the wedding back. They would understand. I think you are beautiful no matter what. I should go. I have a few things I need to do. Stay in the palace as long as you want." He said and walked out. He loved her so much and it felt like he could not make her stay. He went to his room and shut the door. He leaned against it and rubbed his face. He felt like crying. He knew that marrying her had been too good to be true and he was right. He felt like maybe he should just be alone. Maybe it was for the best.

Lenore went to knock on his door before sighing and walking away towards her workshop. Her wedding gown was hanging up in the middle of the shop. She touch the lace and the bows, and all of the little pearls. Lenore looked around before picking up some of her own stuff and walking towards her room. She loved him, much more than ever before but she felt as though he didn’t want her to even be around. Her puppy care bounding into her room, and cried as she started to pack up. It was a loud scream that Lenore though would never end. So Lenore wrote a quick note and attached it to his collar. “Go find daddy.” She told him and he took off towards James.

James wanted her around but he felt like she did not want him anymore and that hurt him a lot. He heard a scratching and opened the door. He saw the pup and smiled a little and picked him up. "I'm going to miss you boy." He said and kissed the top of to pups head. He took the note off of the pups collar and sat down on his bed setting the pup on his lap and started to read it.

Moose acted as if he were also reading the note. Little did the two of them know that Lenore was leaving that very moment. She wanted to leave James with Moose as a way to remind him of her. The note read:
“Dears James,
I do hope that you realize that I do not hurt you on purpose
For I wish to be a good Queen and look out for the kingdom.
Moose is to stay here with you as a token of my love and gratitude. I will never be able to repay you for all that you have done for me. I truly think I could be happy with you, as I do love you with all of my heart.
-Love, Lenore”

James read the note. He sighed. "It looks like she is leaving both of us..." He said as he read the note. He got to the last line and sighed. He felt a tear streak his cheek. He was not sure if she really wanted this life. She seemed to constantly be trying to leave him. He had no idea that there were a group of advisers standing at the door talking about the fact they were sure she was leaving and that he needed to find someone to be his wife that was a lot more stable and not constantly leaving. They talked about having more balls and one of them said they would talk to him and try to get him to have another ball and try to find a good wife.

Jenny got to work in her shop, knowing of the impending ball due to her absence. She had yet to take off her engagement ring as he still had her heart. Jenny just didn’t know what to do in his world, it wasn’t as easy as being a seamstress. She wore ribbons wrapped around her arms to cover the bruises. Jenny played with her engagement ring, suddenly feeling lost.

James looked at the pup. "We should go after her." He said to him. He walked out of the room and went to the door. He saw them talking about him and he sighed. "I don't want a ball." He said and walked out of the castle with a couple of guards. The news spread quickly about him coming into the town.

Lenore was busy making bows and stringing pearls in the back of her store. She missed the two of them so much, but she didnt think she could go back there again. His advisors hated her, and she didn’t want to ruin his life again. Maybe it would be for the best for him never to see her again.

James walked in the door to her shop and the little bell on the door rang. He looked around the store a little waiting for Lenore to come out of the back knowing she was there.
