James did the best he could and was trying to be nice to all of them but it was challenging. By the end, he was exhausted. Eventually was able to get away from them. He gave Lenore a tired smile before he started up the stairs and went to his room. He sat on the bed next to Moose and rubbed his belly. "Hello boy!" He said to him. He looked over at Lenore and smiled.

Lenore followed James upstairs and hopped onto the bed next to the pair and smiled. "Now how on earth are you so nice to those girls? Especially when you know all they want is your title, your crown, your money." She let Moose climb onto her chest and promptly lie down. "You have more will power than I do, I'll give you that." Lenore didn't know when thing would change for her, when she would have to stop being a seamstress, when she would start living with him in the castle, when she would be followed by guards. "Are you sure Moose doesn't count as a guard? He's very protective of me." She smiled, winking at James.

James laughed when she asked that. "A lot of training. It is not easy but I have to do it because it is my job. But there are a lot of times that I want to say to just get away from me. You are right though, that is all they want. They don't need the falling in love part that I need. I guess that is probably because I have done all of this. Now I just really want someone to be my life partner." He said looking at her. "You will not have to deal with that. You will have to deal with the women who will still want to try to marry me but as you can see, they don't really have any effect on me." He said to her. "As much as I wish that he did, he doesn't." He said and winked at her. He gently took the mask off of her face. "That's better." He said smiling at her. "It is pretty great that we managed to match when we have not talked in weeks." He said to her.

Lenore blushed when he took off her mask and looked down at her Moose. "Well I honestly didn't even know if I would be coming tonight. After all, I thought you weren't interested." Lenore couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach when he looked her in the eyes. "But apparently after tonight, you've definitely shown me otherwise. You could have any woman in the kingdom, why me?"

James smiled at her. "And I thought you were not interested." He said to her. He thought about her next question. "You are right. I could. But none of those women would be able to pick me out because of my voice. They would have acted differently than you did when we first met. They would have not stayed in the garden as long without knowing that I was the king. They wouldn't have treated me the same way after they knew as they did before. You did all of those things. But you also managed to take a stressed out, frustrated, and annoyed king and make him so happy. Another wonderful thing you managed to do was to make me have butterflies when we first danced together and many other times since then." James said looking at her.

Lenor blushed a ridiculous shade of red, to the point it would've been concerning on anyone else. While she couldn't make eye contact Lenore reached out and held his hand, squeezing it ever so gently. She didn't know what to expect from this but for him she was willing to try. "You should just be lucky I didn't break your feet when we first danced." She sat up, and with her free hand she gently pulled her crown from her hair and set it on the night stand closest to her. "So, no more balls?"

James loved when she blushed. It gave him the butterflies he had just talked about. "I am glad that you didn't but I could have took the pain. I have handled it in the past with people I liked far less than I like you." He said and smiled when she took his hand. He gently laced their fingers together. "That depends. Do you want another ball?" He asked her smiling a bit. "We could make it more of a celebration ball rather than a find a bride ball. I can have as many as I want because I am the king." He said to her.

Lenore laughed, looking up into his eyes. "Now what on earth would we be celebrating?" She pet Moose's ear softly as the pup had fall asleep in her lap, bored of no one playing with him. Lenore was then confused. "And why would it be up to me anyways?" She sighed and leaned on James, a bit tired. "Besides," She yawned, "I don't have any more crowns to go with my dresses."

"I don't know but I can come up with something." James said smiling at her. "Because I don't really feel the need to have anymore but if you wanted one, I would make an exception." He said and shrugged and then thought for a minute. "I might be able to help with that one." He said smiling at her. He moved Moose onto his bed gently before picking her up. He was tired but he did not mind carrying her to get her to come. He knew that she was tired too. He carried her down the hall a few doors and then went inside a room. The room was full of cabinets that were locked. He set her down on the couch and then walked over to the cabinet that was on one of the side walls. "Well, this is for princesses but since we are kind of dating or something, you would be allowed to wear one to special events." He said to her and then put in the combination and opened the cabinet. The cabinet held beautiful tiara's that were all different colors and were shinier than anything you could get in a store because all of the gems were real. "But they do need to stay in the cabinet when not in use so they don't get lost." He said smiling at her.

Lenore opened her mouth with the intent to speak but nothing came out so she just closed it. She stood up and looked around the room at all the jewelry, she was in shock. Lenore had never seen so many real jewels before. Finally she found the words, which were to be expected. "I-I, I don't deserve this." Lenore sat back down, no wonder why women were practically fighting over James, most people would kill to be where she sat. Lenore touched the crown closest to her, in awe of how delicate and beautiful it was. She had never seen anything like it.
