His father stood and went into the bathroom and changed before he came out. Liam nodded at Amethyst and stood. "We can go. I will see you later you two and try to avoid anymore scary calls okay?" He said to them. He then hugged them both and then left. "The water will sting your burns so I can possibly get someone to take us back on a boat." He said to her.

"But wouldn't they question how you got here? Besides I'll be fine ok." He hugged Liam and smiled. "We can always make them feel better when he get home. I wonder if the power is out still." She thought for a moment then looked at the water. She jumped in causing the burns to sting. Amethyst ignored the pain and began to swim. She isn't fast so Liam would need to help her.

"No they would think we have two houses. Most do" Liam said. When she said she was fine, he nodded and hopped in the water. He took her hand and swam quickly back to the island. He carried her up to the house and set her on the couch and sat next to her.

Amethyst laid there with her leg burning a little. "How long will I stay here on land? I know it might be a while for my legs to heal up." She sighed and looked at Liam. "I want some chips please." She said to him. Amethyst looked up at the ceiling and wonder how her own father is doing.

"You will stay as long as you need to." Liam said and went and got her chips. He took a few and then handed them to her. He sat next to her and kissed her before he turned on the TV. He watched it.

Amethyst kissed back then ate her chips. She watched the tv as well. "Will it rain again?" She asked him. There were clouds in the sky still. It doesn't look like it will become clear for a while.

Liam shrugged as he looked at the TV. "Maybe, I am really not sure. It depends on a lot of things." He said as he watched. He then looked at her glad to see that she was happy with eating chips. "Do you want something else besides chips? It is not good for you to eat chips all the time." He said looking at her.

"Do you have strawberries?" She asked. Those are her favorite thing to eat in the ocean. Amethyst closed the bag of chips and set it beside her. She looked at Liam and smiled. "I'm surprise my arms aren't itchy. I think they adapted to me being on land." She looked at her arms and saw they look normal.

"Yes I do." Liam said and got up and got the strawberries for her and then sat back down. "I am glad that you are not itchy. That is a really good sign." He said smiling at her. "You might be able to come on land a little more often then now that we know how to change you back and forth." He said smiling at her.

Amethyst nodded and smiled. She ate the strawberries and shared some with Liam. When they were all go and placed the container on the table and then snuggled up to Liam. "Do you think you could live in the ocean forever?" She asked. Amethyst looked up at him and waited for an answer.
