Liam went and got food with his parents. He had to explain to his parents where he went. He never told them where he really had been. He explained how he went to Paris and spent some time there as well as other places in France. They seemed to buy it. It would also explain why he could not use his phone. He talked for a while with them before he left. He went back to his friends and talked with them. They had been really worried about him. He missed Amethyst though and wanted to go back to her.

Amethyst's dad told her that Liam likes Strawberries. Amethyst went out of the house and got a whole bunch of strawberries for Liam. She wanted to get things for him since he stayed with her for so long. Amethyst left the house again and went swimming around. She found something that is super rare and is worth a lot. She picked it up and went back to the house. She grabbed some string then wrapped it around the gem making a necklace. She smiled and waited for Liam to come back.

Liam finally got away from his friends and back into the water. He went to her house and went inside and swam over to her and wrapped his arms around her happily. "Hello." He said smiling at her. "It is so good to see you up and swimming around. You had me really worried for a while there." He said. He stayed close to her not really wanting to let go. He was happy there with her. His favorite time was being down underwater with her. She made everything better.

Amethyst hugged Liam back and smiled. "I got you gifts." She said. Amethyst let go of Liam and went to get the strawberries. She brought them back and smiled. "Daddy said you love them so I got you a lot. And I also found this rare gem. I hope you love it." She put the necklace over his head and smiled some more. "So what did everyone say when you got back? There must have been a whole bunch of people looking for you." She kissed his cheek and hugged him.

Liam smiled at her. "You did not have to get me anything." He said to her. He smiled bigger when she came back with the strawberries. "Thank you! I love them and the necklace is beautiful." He said and hugged her when she hugged him. "Well, they had been worried and trying to get a hold of me. I lied and told them I had gone to Paris and they seemed to be okay with that answer so that is good. It sucked telling them a huge lie but I would never do anything that could possibly hurt you so I had no choice. But I really need to try to avoid doing that again. They were really worried and had a search party to try to find me." Liam said looking at her.

"Oh.... I'm sorry that I got hurt...I wasn't sure what to do if the shark got you. Plus I wouldn't be able to take you to a hospital." Amethyst sighed feeling bad that everyone worried about Liam being missing. "Maybe you should spend more time with your human friends. You have more of them. I'm just one mermaid that lives in the ocean that is causing your friends to worry about you." She let go of Liam and sat on the ground looking at her tail.

"It's okay. It all worked out in the end. I am just glad that you are okay. That is the most important part." Liam said and hugged her. "No. You are not just one mermaid. I am completely in love with you and I can't just leave you. I don't ever want to leave you. It does not matter if they have more people that care about me there. I can't lose you." He said and kissed her.

Amethyst kissed back. When they stopped she looked at Liam. "But what would you tell people? You can't just say, 'Oh, I love a mermaid name Amethyst.' They would think you're crazy. I don't want them to think that." She hugged Liam tightly. "Plus humans might question why you are gone for most of the time. And if you wanted to go swimming you can't get your head wet without your gills showing." Amethyst lightly touched his gills and did a small smile. She thought they were cool and wished she could have gills, but she was born to breath under water.

"I will figure it out. It will be okay. The only thing you have to do is tell me that you want to date me too and I will figure the rest out. I am not worried about what people think because you make me so happy that I want to be with you. I will just say I have to make frequent trips to Paris and not explain in too much detail why. I don't want you to worry about it. But if you don't want to date me, that is fine. We can just be friends and we will make our friendship work. Either way, I want you to be a part of my future so I am going to try to make it work." Liam said watching her.

Amethyst kissed Liam. She hopes he knows what she meant. When they stopped kissing she smiled. "I love you as well." She hugged Liam tightly. Amethyst's father came into the room. "Did I hear the word love?" Amethyst nodded and giggled. "Yep." She said and smiled. "Aww. My daughter has grown up." He went over to the two and hugged them. "Liam, thanks for making my daughter happy."
