(I'm pretty sure you can't take Irish as a foreign language anymore; the language was sort of dropped and now only a small population of Ireland still speaks it. Jasmine's Irish too; she was born there and didn't leave until she was 18, when she transferred to a college in Canada. I'm taking French, but the only other classes I've heard of are Latin, Spanish, German, Chinese, and a few others. But hey, whatever floats your boat. It's a story about magic people, it doesn't have to be realistic)
Eider took out his AP Chemistry book and started taking notes along with the seniors in the class. Sorrel, as always, ignored the teacher and took out her sketchbook, drawing swirling designs and flowers and whatever else came to mind. Eider smiled at his cousin, and wrote in tiny letters "Hey" on a piece of paper and slid it into her hand under the table. She glanced sideways at him and gave the tiniest of smiles, then wrote back "Hi". And so class began.
