Brendon was immediately flustered when Alex kissed him. After she left, he stared in a haze and touched his cheek. A small smile came to his lips and he got butterflies in his stomach. Brendon shook his head and chuckled a little, then he stood up and felt like he could continue working.

Alex wet to find her brothers an found them with Cole attempting to help him put a saddle on one of the horses she laughed a little and took the saddle from them "Maybe wait until you are just a little bigger to put the saddle on all by yourselves" she said smiling at her brothers and watched as Cole finished putting tack on the horse ten lifted Gabe up and lead the horse out to te pasture

Brendon worked a bit more and drank some water to settle down a bit. He couldn't stop thinking about Alex, as well as that she actually kissed him. This was all happening so soon, it was overwhelming. But Brendon knew he had to tell her somehow. After all, he'd half-confessed it, didn't he?

Alex lead her brothers around until it was time to put the horses away then she brought them in and cleaned the horses off and took her brothers to the castle to clean up for dinner but frowned when her father came to tell her try were having guests and told her who it was she immeadtly left to go to the kitchen and got dinner for the stable hands as well as a bit for herself deciding she did not want to eat at the castle tonight

Cole finished working and told Brendon before he went back to their cabin to clean up and change before dinner

Brendon finished his tasks and cleaned himself up after Cole was done. He put on some clean clothes and groomed his hair, seeing as it was getting a little long and unkempt. Also his face was getting a little scruffy, since he hadn't shaved in a while. He wasn't sure if he was feeling up for dinner, but maybe getting something in his stomach would make Brendon feel better.

Alex knocked on the door before coming in and sighed setting the basket down on the counter "Soup" she said quietly handing them each a canister and then took one for herself and sat at the desk "I-If y'all don't mind I would rather eat here tonight than at the castle" she said softy looking down at the canister in her hands

Brendon shrugged nonchalantly, claiming his canister. "Th-thank you." He murmured softly. He felt a little nervous, he wanted to tell her. But he was just a stable boy, she was a princess for goodness sakes! And he'd only known her a couple days. There was no way she could feel for Brendon what he felt for her. Could she? Brendon pondered while eating his soup, every now and then awkwardly glancing at Alex or Cole.

Cole kept glancing at Alex as she ate quietly in the corner "Did he come back?" He asked and Alex shrugged nodding "Yea that is why I am eating here" she said and Cole nodded "I figured…" Alex shrugged "Easist to just ignore him and stay out of the way while they are here" she said and finished her soup then set Cole's book on the desk and grabbed one for herself to read

Brendon intently listened to the exchange between the two, a little coy about asking questions. "So what is your Dad like?" He asked Alex in a soft voice. "I haven't seen him around, yet..."
