He raised an eyebrow and sat there silently, knowing full well she had forgotten to say goodbye. It wasn't a big deal, he sighed and leaned back a little in his chair.
"I'll make sure to help send you off." he answered gently before listening and thinking again. Jess knew where Kristian was.. Aristide as well. He had not heard from the Spy since the accident and hoped he was doing well. His brother, on the other hand, was meandering the halls of the base just trying to get a grip. The officials were more worried about Kris than him, so they kind of just set the exiled sniper off for later.
By then Jessie had hung up and he had been listening to the dial tone.
"See you soon, Scout.." he mumbled before hanging up, disconnecting the phone and sitting there in silence.

Managing to get a rifle for him, Mekhl found Mick and spoke to him about Aristide and tried to help him through whatever reason depression was bugging him now. He gave him the rifle and directed him atop the roof of the building, equipping the man with a walkie and a sandwich and asking him to keep a lookout for Scout if she ever made it.
"Keep eye out on river," he explained while pointing to the water in the distance "Let me know if Scout makes it."
And with that, moved back on inside to keep officials at bay from finding Mick
Not that they cared where he was.
The Sniper sat atop the roof with his all familiar rifle in hand, and kept a lookout for the girl in case she came.
