He lifted his head a little, smelling the smell while walking through the hall
This wasn't a normal smell.. he frowned while moving down the hall a little faster while pulling his coat on
What he found, to be the source of the smell, was noneother than Roman himself
He never smoked inside.. and was so careless about it..
Something seemed wrong.. yet he didn't want to seem so.. obsessed about it
He had enough with that emotion
"You never smoke inside." he called while approaching him from behind
Using their mother tongue.. just in case something really was wrong

Mekhl heard Pyro's voice, and tilted his head
"What is wrong?" he asked while coming over and leaning over a little to see what he found
Children's items.. he spotted the drawing and instantly became concerned
If they had taken the wrong boat.. or even were too careless to check for anyone else on the boat..
"Is there child in here?" he asked softly before moving to look in corners and between furniture
"I cannot think after so long there would be kid.."
He didn't feel like babysitting, and looked to Pyro for support
If the man thought there was something wrong, he was to stay near him to see if he could flush the child out
If there.. was one..

Pyro lightly shrugs his shoulders as he continues his search around the cabin and slowly moves towards bathroom, "If there is a child, they are probably hiding considering that there are four psychopathic murderers on their boat.." He mentioned quietly to the other, he was growing increasingly impatient however and was trying to figure out the best way to flush the kid out quick. He briefly paused and turns to face Mekhl, "If there was someone..or something in here..could you somehow track them? Ya know..with the mind reading thing?" It was a thought and the only one he had, if it didn't work, he would just assume that he was over thinking the whole thing and would need to jump back on track with their mission. Although the Engineer was looking to Pyro for some type of support, Pyro was looking to the other himself for advice. He soon found himself heading towards the stairs as to block the exit from any possible escape.

It was as if the man was in some sort of trance. As soon as Medic approached and mentioned the fact that he brought his terrible habit indoors, Roman snapped away from his daze and immediately put the cig out on the wall, "Forgot to put it out." He mutters as he waits for Kris to join at his side, he then continues his walk toward the mess hall. He was comfortable around the other German and therefore he quickly opened up to them with the situation that was putting a strain on his mental state, "They took me in for questioning this morning.." He glances around to make sure the halls were clear before continuing, "I thought it was about the BLU Medic and the Spy we..you know." With a sigh he rubs the back of his head before saying, "A body was discovered and they found something on or near them that linked directly back to me, so they want me to identify the body. They usually only ask of this when it is thought to be a family member..right? I haven't been in contact with my son in a while..nor have I gotten through to my mum in few days." He wasn't sure what to think about all of this, but sharing his concerns help put him at ease, for now at least.

He walked with Roman down to the mess hall, listening to what he had to say
Really it sounded like someone's worst nightmare.. and he couldn't believe how Roman could have been feeling
Probably bad enough to be walking through the halls smoking..
His brothers were presumed dead after a five day long search through the bomb debris and no bodies found
This was in his hometown, of course, Germany
"That sounds horrifying.." he said gently while looking down a little
"You don't know who it is.. Would you like me to come with you to see who it is?" he asked
And watched the Soldier with a raised eyebrow
"I am a medic.. I do know how to spot the causes of death.. Things they might not have spotted the first time around"

Mekhl stopped his search and watched the Pyro there while he spoke
And made a face while shrugging
"I cannot track people.. I just hear their thoughts." he explained
But figured it was a good idea, and would try it out
He sat there silently, closing his eyes to try and focus on shutting every noise but thoughts out
He heard Spy's.. he was complaining about the weather and wondering how they were doing..
But something else stood out, and he opened his eyes to head back in where the bedroom was and checked in there
It was most strong in there.. he just had to find it
Ending up checking in closets and under the bed

"That's too bad." He quietly mutters to himself, but follows close besides Mekhl as the man lead them into the bedroom. Pyro leans against the wall and watches him for several seconds before joining along in the search, although he came up empty handed, "Might be nothing..we are probably just wastin' our time." He said, sounding slightly agitated with the game of hide and seek he seemed to be playing. He gestured Mekhl to follow, knowing that if was someone else on the boat, they were not going to show themselves to the Mercs who stole their boat. Besides, with Spy's cloaking ability, perhaps they could use him as a simpler solution. All he would have to do was cloak himself and wait until whoever was hiding thought they were going and felt safe enough to come out of hiding. They have had the boat for hours and Pyro knew they would need to eat, drink or use the bathroom at some point. Once he pulls Mekhl away from the bedroom and towards the stairs, he relays the suggestion to him just as Jessie was getting back onto the boat from the rafts, "What's the hold up?" She calls out, sounding rather annoyed with the unexpected delay for she was nearly soaked to the bone due to her not having a umbrella like Aristide. Pyro glances over at Jess and then back at Mekhl, he wasn't sure if mentioning their suspensions would be worth the hassle.

Roman seemed hesitant with the man's offer, the body was likely being held at a coroner's office and therefore the cause of death has already been determined more than likely. Still, the thought of having that type of support was somewhat comforting. He agrees with a nod, arrangements could be made during lunch, they were almost at the mess hall anyway and drinking on an empty stomach probably wouldn't do him well. Deep inside, he felt like he knew exactly who it was. It has been years since he had last seen his son and for him to not contact any of his family during that time was highly unusual, Roman was certain it was him. The Soldier was quite up until they took a seat at one of the tables once they were inside of the mess hall, "I'm thinking about leaving either tomorrow morning or tonight. I wasn't given a location, but it's no more than a few hours of flying." He informs him as he found himself fiddling around with an unlit cigarette, "Did you have anything planned this afternoon? Before you ran into me." He curiously asked as if trying to take his mind of thoughts looming around in his head.

He nodded while following, knowing that this was of the man's family.. and some support from the smaller German probably would have been nice
"I have nothing planned.." he answered while walking with him to the mess hall
"I'm sure I would love to come with you.. This sort of thing is scary.. I'll be there for you in every moment."
He said while sitting down with him and offering a soft, kind smile to the other
He didnt know of anyone else who wouldve wanted to go.. and since he very much wanted to be there..
The medic moved a hand to reach across the table and grabbed hold of the Soldier's to squeeze reassuringly
"I promise."

Mekhl nodded and knew that Spy could easily help them with the problem
Besides.. as long as the feeling was strong in that room, he knew whomever was there was still there
He let Pyro pull him away from the room and joined back up with Jess and Aristide
Who wasnt looking very happy
He wasnt wet.. rather extremely cold, glaring at the two that were so late from beyond his umbrella
"Pyro misplaced weapon." The Engineer answered the Scout
"I help find it. We can go now.."
He huffed softly and glanced back at the cabin before moving to sit down in the raft with the others
Spy waited until Pyro got into the boat before asking him about what took him so long
"Felice.." he whined softly
"We 'ave been sitting out 'ere for a long time. You could at least let us know what was going on.."

Pyro agreed with the Engineer's statement with eased Jessie's nervous enough for her to take a seat back on the raft without any further questions. Once Pyro seated himself besides Aristide, he didn't hesitate in letting him in on the actual issue although he speaks loud enough for only to hear, "When we took the boat back at the docks..did you see a kid anywhere within the crowd? When you took the keys that is.." He asks, hoping that maybe Spy could confirm that there was and they didn't need to worry about their suspicions anymore, "Mekhl and I didn't..and we found a few things that suggest..that there might be a child on board.." He awkwardly rubs the back of his head, feeling rather embarrassed over the fact that they technically might have kidnapped a child, "We can't find them and figure that if you cloaked yourself, maybe..we'll have better luck?" It was a mere suggestion, but he prayed that his partner would go along with it and try his luck as his own and Mekhl's wasn't enough.

Roman silently grumbled at his failed attempts to change the conversion and even sigh at Medic's reassurance, but was grateful although he had different ways of showing it, "Thank you." He mutters and stands up to retrieve a bottle for himself, "You should eat.." He points over his shoulder towards the serving line, today staff had prepared lunch and breakfast for them which was a very common occurrence as the Mercs were only expected to serve dinner. He didn't particularly enjoy seeing Kris walking around looking half starved, so by the tone of his voice, it was more of an order than a suggestion. Once he grabs something from his own special stash in the kitchen, he was sure to stop on the line to grab himself a meal as well.

He raised an eyebrow and watched him there
"You're welcome.." he answered and stood as well
"Good idea. Food will help us think straighter."
And moved to stand and get in line, his stomach already growling
"I vonder vahts on ze menu today.."
He hummed while grabbing a plate and serve himself what seemed to be hot soup and sandwiches
Smiling, the little man thanked them for the food before sitting back down to enjoy it
Looking around for Roman to see if he would be joining him again

He blinked and watched the Pyro come and sit next to him, listening carefully to what he was saying
"A kid? No.. No kid." he said softly while shaking his head
"I did not see much.. but I did not see a kid."
And wondered what this meant, before Felice told him that they might've kidnapped a child
The Frenchman's eyes widened a little
"Really.. Well.. I can see what I can do when we get back.." he said while biting his lip
"Let us 'ope ze child is understanding of us, taking it from its.. family.."
He shook his head and looked to the side while on the raft to their location

"When we get back? No..no no no..you need to check right now..!" He frowns while nudging Spy. He was no longer speaking as quietly and sounded more distressed than anything, "Look..if there is a kid here and they were raised on this boat, I guarantee you that they have a spare key and knowns how to drive this thing. Chances are that they have a radio or communication device like a phone too. We might be completing contracts right now, but we are not protected from the law, what we are doing is illegal and if that kid gets in contact with the authorities and gives off our location..our mission will be a failure." He crosses his arms, hoping that they will now understand how dire the situation is for them, "Wait, what?" Scout was only now catching onto the conversation.

Although he took his time moseying around the kitchen and mess hall, he did eventually take a seat near Kris again, "If you really don't have anything planned, perhaps we'll head out tonight and get it over with." He suggests. The ride wouldn't be a long one as it would only be a state or two over as far as he was aware, so they would likely be back on base the following evening. He felt that not much planning was needed and therefore he was mostly quiet as he ate, things haven't entirely returned to normal for them and likely never will, so although he was still very much opened up towards the other, he wasnt nearly as talkative. Time was still needed for those wounds to heal. As he was finishing up his meal, a question in his head did pop, "Do you still have plans to leave at some point?"

He ate his food in silence, getting a good chance to think to himself
He hummed and dipped his sandwich into his soup, while also sipping at his drink
"I suppose we could leave tonight." He answered after swallowing
"I wouldnt have a problem with it."
He then finished up and put the empty bowl on the plate along with his cup and pushed it to the side to be taken care of in a moment
He looked up at Roman while shrugging
"Not anytime soon.. but.. Once I have Felice and Aristide under my thumb.. I will take them with me with Kali.." he said aloud

He watched Felice with wide eyes, and realized how dire the situation was for them
He nodded and struggled to stand then
"Alright! Alright I'll go find out.." he huffed and pat himself down.. he didnt have any walkie talkies with him..
He saw some on the yacht.. and figured he'd give one to Pyro
Engie moved to help him back up onto the boat as he turned and watched the scout
"Wait 'ere." He said to her before turning and disappearing into the boat
Only coming back to hand a walkie talkie to Engie
"I'll talk to you when I find out what 'appens. Ozzer zan zaht, do not use it."
And left for the cabins, leaving his umbrella inside the door and stripping his rain coat off while pulling his cloaking device and enabling it, walking silently through the cabin

Jessie stares at the three in utter confusion, she obviously wasn't in on the whole situation and she knew it, but knew that making a big deal of it for that reason wasn't going to change anything. Seeing this, Pyro scoots over to her while the other two were occupied so he could fill her in on the details just as he did with Spy. When Engineer returned, both Felice and Jessie sat beside his and intently listened, waiting for Spy's voice to give them some sort of positive news, that being that they were idiots and the boat held no other residents aside from them, "Sooo..if there really is a kid in there..what are we gonna do with them? We can't leave em here..but taking them with isn't much safer either.." She was looking to Mekhl for answers. Taking them back would have been just as risky too for she was certain that the police waiting and searching for them. It was a hard decision and right now all eyes were on the Engineer for directions.

Roman couldn't hold back his chuckle, even after everything that had happened between Kris, Felice and Aristide, he was surprised by the other's enthusiasm and confidence. Felice had been tormenting him ever since the surgery and Kris was still certain that he was going to successfully convince them to join at his side..although the Soldiers was mystified, he respected his stubbornness, "Really think you can win them over still? We don't even know if your plan will be successful.." He shrugs, he still didn't understand the full power of the Medigun or Kristian's talents in the medical field, but he'll learn soon enough with time.
