Gisselle smiled and looked up at him happily. She understood what he meant before she started to rummage through the basket again before pulling out another pastry and munching on it. "We should go back soon" She mumbled, covering her mouth as she ate. She wanted to get back and get changed, not to mention Connor and Nana to make up

Connor nodded, knowing they'd need to get ready for work soon. He didn't want to leave here just yet, though. Everything was so wonderful, it seemed like a shame to leave. Eventually, he stood up, and picked up the basket after Gisselle had taken out another pastry. He waited for her to get up as well zl he could take the sheet as well.

Gisselle stood up and jumped off the blanket with quite a bit of elegance. She smiled and looked at Connor before going back to munching on her pastry. "Are you going to make up with Nana?" She asked between each bit, looking up at him with her big blue eyes. She sure hoped so as both Connor and Nana looked happy together, and now the two were down in the dumps

Oh no! What happened? Also on a quick note, is a little bit of discharge coming from the eye a bad thing?))

Connor picked up the blanket as Gisselle jumped off. Although the picnic was over, he was still happy. However, he almost immediately looked away as Gisselle mentioned Nana. It had been such a good picnic, why did she need to say that now? "I'll... talk to her." He said. He didn't think Nana was a terrible person, definitely not as bad as many they have met. Even as an assassin, he hates to admit it, but he's done similar. It was his own mind stopping him from being comfortable, especially when everyone keeps pushing him to make it up.

No idea, my mum (Coz iz still sweet innocent child) said we'd take him to the vets if it gets bad. I don't think so unless it happens a lot))

Gisselle smiled and held onto his arm. "That's the most I can ask for, I won't push my fiance" she joked and held onto him happily. Honestly, she thought it was a bit strange how Nana was an assassin but wasn't going to judge her for it as people had tough lives. Gisselle didn't understand how he went from so happy to so glum

Okie, just checking. It happens sometimes with the cats at the coalition too, but I wasn't entirely sure.))

Connor's smile returned to his face, but this time it was small, "I know you wouldn't push me too hard," He sighed, "And I guess we need to work things out eventually too, right?" He looked ahead, and could see their house in the distance. He wondered if Nana was out, or still in the home. He hoped she didn't eat all the pastries while they were gone.

Gisselle nodded with a huge grin. She was proud of Connor for being a big enough man, even if it took a while to get him to do so. "See, this is why I love you!" Gisselle grinned again before looking towards the house. Nothing seemed to be off about it, only smoke rising out of the chimney. They didn't leave the fire on but guessed Nana did it out of coldness

The cat coalition? The place I volunteer at with all the kitties?))

Connor could see smoke rising from the house, and guessed that Nana had started a fire. Autumn was here, and he knew Winter wouldn't be too far away. He remembered last year, how terrible the weather was. They had nearly starved to death, trapped inside their own home, "I hope we have a better winter this year." he couldn't help but let out a sigh.

How was I supposed to know that!?))

Gisselle tilted her head in confusion, wondering why Connor was sighing like that. "At least you have an axe this year" she smiled before they finally reached the house. She opened the door, knowing Connor had his hands full. Nana was slumped on a chair which had been moved in front of the fire. She'd clearly been waiting for them but fallen asleep and into a fox in the process. The sight just made Gisselle laugh

"That's true," Connor said, "And I'll make sure to get plenty of wood before the snow falls." As they reached the house, he looked inside to see what Gisselle had laughed at, and saw Nana on the chair. He couldn't help it, but a smirk came to his face, but he turned his head and walked away to put the stuff away. He decided it'd be best to speak with her after work, maybe then he'd be able to figure out more of what he wanted to say.
