1x1 Roleplay Fraus and Tigermeow

[Fraus]

Gisselle placed the sticks down near Connor. "Here, we better start it soon, do you feel how cold it is?" She asked, looking at him to his satchel. "I got the driest sticks I could find" She mumbled, glancing around for somewhere to sit, hopefully not on the ground. She gave a small sigh as she couldn't spot anywhere. Gisselle sat on her knees, trying to be neat with her dress as she didn't know how long it would last without being torn

[Tigme]

"Yeah," Connor replied, and shivered as another chilled wind pushed by. He hoped this breeze wouldn't keep up, or else they'd never be able to start this fire. He bent down, and organized the sticks, and any dead leaves that he spotted around him. After a few strikes, he was able to get some of the dry leaves ignited. Slowly, the fire spread and Connor continued to add more fuel until it was the size of a small campfire, "This good?" He turned to face Gisselle.

[Fraus]

Gisselle nodded, putting her hands out to the fire. "Its fine, at least we'll be warm tonight" She smiled at him, shuffling closer to the fire to warm up more. She looked at the ground with a small yawn, giving her eyes a rub. "What time do you think it is?" She asked curiously, looking back up at the fire with her dim eyes. It was so pretty to her, yellow and orange flames intertwining, smoke rising as it did.

[Tigme]

The small fire let out a good amount of heat, and Connor couldn't help but feel somewhat proud of himself. He usually struggled more than this to start a fire, but he was able to get this one started quite easily. At Gisselle's question, he simply shrugged, "Dunno," He replied, "Maybe a bit before eleven? Closer to ten maybe?" he wasn't too good at estimating the time, especially not after the sun had already set.

[Fraus]

Gisselle let out a small sigh, moving her hair from her face, "Let's just hope it late enough for people not to be on the hunt" She said, glancing up at the stars. She could see some main starts and some constellations but nothing that quite interested, especially since she couldn't tell the time. Gisselle looked back at Conner, a curious look on her face, "What have we got left in that bag of yours?"

[Tigme]

Just saying, but I think I might try to get some sleep. It's about 5:45 in the morning for me, and I haven't gotten any sleep))

Connor was staring at the fire, unintentionally ignoring Gisselle as she spoke. The crackling of the wood, the flames rising, only to dissipate before reaching too high. And above, the smoke swirling above, dancing in the sky and being pushed out of sight with each passing breeze. It was a good minute before Connor even recognized that she had asked him a question, and he looked up from the fire, "Huh? Oh yeah, let's see..." He looked through his bag, of which was mostly empty, "Not much, just some things like the fire starter I used, and a water bottle. No food though."

[Fraus]

(Ok, You should really get some sleep then. its only 10:53am for me)

Gisselle frowned as she was ignored to start with, crossing her arms. She understood the fire was beautiful but she just wanted to talk to him. Maybe he'd lost interest in her and what she said, quickly going into a panic before realising he'd answered. "Oh, that's not the greatest" She mumbled, laying her hands in her lap, trying to ignore how hungry she'd gotten over the previous hours of walking

[Tigme]

Thanks, but I'm apparently as bad at getting a good night's sleep as Arya22. : P ))

"Sorry," Connor mumbled, "I didn't think we'd be out here for so long." He felt bad that he didn't think to bring food. But how was he supposed to know? "Well, uhm..." he stumbled over his words, "Maybe we should get some sleep. It's-it's been a long day, after all." His stomach growled as he realized sleep may not come too easily on an empty stomach.

[Fraus]

(I get a pretty good nights sleep unless my two cats jump on me X_X)

Gisselle shrugged it off, looking at him a sweet smile. "You can't apologise for something you can't help you know" She glanced out the fire, giving a small yawn. "Yeah, that'd be a good idea" She mumbled, stretching before looking at the ground. What a hard place to sleep, on the ground. She thought to herself, starting to lay down away from the fire

[Tigme]

Oof, that doesn't sound like fun. If I do sleep, I don't really have much to wake me up. Other than the bird's nest that's right in front of my window.))

"Well, g'night then." Connor said, and lied down on the ground. It wasn't the most practical tool, but he used his satchel as a pillow so at least a part of him could be comfortable on the rough ground. As he suspected, sleep did not come easy. Hunger and discomfort kept him up for a while longer. But soon, the soothing crackling of the fire and exhaustion soon lulled him to sleep.
