Catherine nodded, ignoring Iskari's second comment, and ran ahead to where Lockhart was hiding. Before reaching the spot, she took out her knife, and gripped the end tightly. She knew she'd need to actually be patient this time instead of running right forward and attacking him, especially if she were to disable his arms before he took out the device. Pausing for only a moment on the opposite side of the crates, she quickly jumped around the corner in an attempt to tackle the man.

Lockhart fumbled with something in his hand for a moment, before he was suddenly shoved to the ground by Catherine as she careened into him. Letting out a cry of surprise, the object fell from Lockhart's grasp, glancing off the ground and skittering away.

In a mere second, Iskari was there, descending upon the scene as she retrieved the device, which had landed nearby on the ground. The flickering scarlet lights were an immediate cause for alarm, and also the first thing Iskari noticed as she glanced down at the object in her hand. In a purely instinctual move so unlike her calculated self, Iskari hurled the device down the street, her competent throw landing the object a good distance away, as it was set off yet again just as it hit the ground. Although the blinding flash was still visible, and the deafening burst still clearly audible, it seemed the device had been activated far enough away for it to have much less of an effect on those as far from the explosion as Iskari.

As Catherine hit Lockhart, she pushed him to the ground and grabbed both his wrists. She glanced up as the device rolled out of his hands, "Not so powerful without your little toy, now are you?" She laughed, but kept her tight grip on his wrists. Looking up as Iskari jumped down, she saw her pick up the device, but not even for a second. And Catherine could see why: in the air, she could see the device seemed to spark. As quickly as she could, she looked away from the direction of the flash, and instinctively covered her eyes with one of her hands. Although she still gripped onto one of Lockhart's wrists, she had let go of the other in an attempt to block out the light and sound. Luckily for her, however, the blast did little to push her away compared to the other times.

After a few seconds, Iskari's newest temporary blinding cleared (much quicker than any other time had), as did the ringing in her ears.
"Is he secure?" Iskari questioned curtly, turning back to Catherine as though the device hadn't affected her in the slightest. In a single, seamless motion, Iskari drew one katana, which she had previously put away, and strode towards the woman and her captive.

It didn't take long before Catherine's own vision began to clear up. She was definitely glad they weren't once more facing the brunt of the explosion. Moving her hand from her eyes, she looked up at Iskari, and began to stand up, "Yeah yeah, I doubt he can do much now," She said, but swiftly moved to take Lockhart's other arm just in case he had another one of those devices on him.

"Good. Now, Mr. Lockhart, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to hand over the other four of those devices," Iskari hissed, her venomous tone dripping with sarcasm as she glared into the man's murky, grey-green eyes.

Lockhart eyed the assassin with crazed fear for a moment, however this fear was soon masked by a hesitant sneer.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Lockhart spat, struggling against Catherine for a second before swiftly giving up.

"Oh, don't you have any sense left in that brain of yours?" Catherine sneered, easily able to keep Lockhart secured even as he struggled, "Or is it all gone by now? Whatever the case may be, you've better do as we say because there isn't much else you can do." She'd think the man may have at least had the dignity to follow their words, but then again she couldn't forget that he was a politic after all.

(I just realized, and Catherine might've not realized this either, but she probably would've been able to get the money even if he was dead.)

(Yep xD)
"This is illegal, you know! I- I can have you two arrested for this! And I will! I have people, and they will hunt you down, and find you, and then- then it'll all be over for you! You won't get away with this- this vicious assault! You psychopaths!" Lockhart rambled, eyes darting wildly around as he attempted to avoid eye contact with the intimidating young woman before him.
"Oh, we're well aware that this is illegal. We're also sane-minded enough to recognize that your actions are as well. Never mind that, though. Be you innocent or not, I have a reputation to maintain."
Iskari's eyes narrowed into tiny slits as she shifted the weight of her katana in her hand, preparing to finish the man.

"Yeah, the only people you'll have will be the fellows in the afterlife!" Catherine retorted. She had been called many... less than pleasant names in the past, but none of them ever really fazed her anymore. They were all simply attempts of keeping alive after all else was lost, "And honestly, I don't care if anything's illegal or not. Especially if it's someone owing me something, I'll make sure to get it no matter what." She gripped his wrists even tighter, twisting his arms as she did so, "So, mind handing over your money before we kill you, or will we need to do it after?"

"Ah!" Lockhart yelped in pain as his arms were twisted to an awkward angle, struggling to break free of Catherine's grasp, to no avail.
"Well, Lockhart, what will it be? The devices, and this woman's money, or... Well, I suppose I'll leave you to your deductions of what the alternative may be. I'll give you a hint though: it won't be pleasant." Iskari hissed.
"Go to hell," The man spat, voice low and sharp.
