"I may look harmless in this, but I've trained my whole life in the arts of war and stealth." Kyo wanted to show off her weapon, but there was no dire need for it. "It's actually enchanted to set itself on fire at the master's command." The lighter mood seemed to end shortly though. Once again they were at a loss. Apparently the crystal didn't work like it should because the holder wasn't female..? That was dumb, frankly. Gender meant little in Sheikah society. Both men and women were equal in many aspects. "How did you end up with this crystal in the first place, not being a Senshi? If I may ask."

(Er, caught a typo. Mamoru called her Kyo. He doesn't know her real name. Yet. Do I pretend it was just Gale? Maybe sometime he can know..?)

Artemis' eyes widened, "Well... I suppose having a warrior like you is helpful. You certainly would come in handy! However, it sounds like that was a weak Youma. They never stay that weak. Seems they get stronger the more you defeat. Who ever sends them tends to get smarter. We'd need the Silver Crystal and-"

"Well we don't have the Silver Crystal, Artemis. We have the Golden Crystal and Gale. Not everything is about the Legendary Silver Crystal." Mamoru huffed. He looked to Kyo before looking to his hands. "I don't know. For some reason, instead of finding a deserving woman the Crystal is bound to Endymion. Just as the Silver Crystal is bound to Serenity. I had it in Elysion, my Golden Kingdom. But I don't know why. Artemis and Luna don't know either. It serves no use being with a man." He spat out the last sentence.

Legendary Silver Crystal this. Legendary Silver Crystal that. Obviously it's a big deal. But we don't have the damn thing right now! Bringing it up won't do anything! Kyo was scowling as this crossed her mind. It was starting to drive her crazy. Were these people really so dependent on it? What good was there only have one failsafe, so to speak? She had to reign in her annoyance as she spoke. "We'll just have to up our game then, too. There's no silver crystal to solve our issues." She was a little startled at Mamoru's tone and the way he spat out the last sentence. Okay... Clearly a touchy subject... Note to self: Don't ask Mamoru about the crystal. Still... I wonder what it looks like. She was sorely tempted to ask, but didn't want to risk further souring his mood. Asking what to do next may have a similar effect, so she remained silent for the most part.

Mamoru gave Artemis a glare before continuing. "Right. No Legendary Silver Crystal, no Usako, no Sailor Moon. We'll have to do for now." He noted how Kyo seemed a bit startled, waving a hand to dismiss it. "That wasn't directed towards you! It's fine!" His frustration was directed towards Artemis who had said something similar before. He was somewhat correct, but it wasn't useless. He's shown on multiple occasions he could use it. It just wasn't even close to as helpful with him. "We need to start making a plan. Standing around talking about Crystals won't do us any good. We can do that later!"

A plan. Two simple words and yet the concept was much more complicated. "Is it possible to capture a Youma and hold it? Are they susceptible to... er... certain persuasive measures?" She hoped the insinuation was clear. Apparently non-Sheikah were uncomfortable at the idea. "As for a plan, for now all that comes to mind is heading back to the headquarters now that we've found Artemis." Maybe trying out this Sailor V game could be an educational experience: they were going there anyway. So why not? She would have a lot of cool stories to tell people back home. "Artemis... Do you know who could be behind this? I asked Mamoru, but..."

Mamoru Chiba ~ Juuban District ~ Uh...

Mamoru chuckled softly, "Listen, half of the Youma only know how to say one word, whether that be their name or something related. And no matter if they can or can't speak, they're mindless beings. No amount of pain or anything like it will get them to talk. Now, there tends to be some humanoid that isn't a Youma in charge of them, but not in charge of the whole plan. Those ones we could probably get something out of." He sighed softly, "Back to headquarters? I guess you're right on that. It just seems like a pain."

"There can be no telling! Especially with the first Youma. Besides, we've never dealt with the same enemy twice." Artemis shook his head. "It could be anyone. ...Wait I lied. There was someone we dealt with twice, but that was different. Once in the time of Serenity and Endymion and once a few years ago. That shouldn't count."

"That's no fun then... I had so many new ideas I wanted to try... If we ever do capture one of these humanoids, I want the first crack at it." Kyo sulked slightly. The person who made youmas really need to put more effort into their social intelligence. "Let's not waste any more time. We should get going." Ugh... You're both useless! Are youma really so commonly used by those with malevolent intent? ..Why make that strong one look like one of the guys Mamoru was talking to? I could ask, but then Mamoru would know I was spying on him... No. I won't say anything. Yet. Her expression was contemplative, and she was silent for a time. "Who was the being you dealt with twice?"

Mamoru rubbed the back of his neck, "Not like we can do anything about that. We're not the ones who create the Youma! The humanoids tend to. Amazon Trio, Amazon Quartet, Black Moon Clan, Sailor Animamates..." He listed off the few examples under his breath, purposefully leaving out the Shittennou. He couldn't blame his guardians. "Alright, alright. Let's get going." He placed his hands in his pockets and started to walk off. "Queen Beryl and Queen Metalia." Once again, no mention of the Shittennou. "But it's not like she came back in a span of a few years. I think they may have been reborn with the rest of us? Or something. I know that's not the case for Metalia. But Beryl? She was human. And not immortal, she was from Earth. And they weren't defeated in the time of Elysion and the Silver Millennium. Serenity and I were the ones who died, not Metalia and Beryl. But they're both dead now. Usako defeated them years ago." He had never thought about that, now that he realized it. Was Beryl reborn? Or did Metalia keep her alive through the world's reset? And the Shittennou? What about them? Perhaps they were reborn. Jadeite looked younger than he was in the time of the Golden Kingdom. Zoisite was supposed to be the youngest, wasn't he? The youngest, the one Kunzite would baby all of the time. Jadeite looked to be even younger than Zosite! Maybe that meant a rebirth? ...That would mean his guardians had been possessed by evil twice. How saddening...

"That was rhetorical." Kyo said simply. She wasn't blaming them. That was a merely a rant of sorts. She didn't need to know how many there were or their names. Her only concern was figuring this out as soon as possible so she could go back and see Ren again... Goddesses she missed him. But she had to help. Ren would at least try to help Mamoru... Or anyone for that matter. "Hey... That first youma. Does that one resemble anyone you know? I obviously didn't recognize it." There. That was a perfectly innocent way to ask without revealing she had spied on him. She kept an eye on their progress, and though she was no expert, they were probably getting close..?

Mamoru stopped in his path when Kyo asked him if that 'Jadeite' looking Youma looked like anyone he knew. Oh boy... Artemis was here, it wasn't just him and Kyo right now. If it weren't for Artemis he may have explained, but if Artemis knew the Youma reminded him of Jadeite, all logic would be out the window and the cat would freak out. Besides, he couldn't be sure that Youma was meant to look like Jadeite. It may just be a coincidence. "Hm? Oh, no. Why would you ask? That's a random question, Gale." ...How did she even think to ask that? She said she saw the Shittennou disappear. Nothing more. That wasn't enough to figure anything out. He noticed Artemis' questioning glare, quickly walking ahead, "Almost there!"
