Kyo - Tokyo - Curious about where to go next

Her ears were still burning. She'd bet it was a form of payback for her figuring out about his relationship with Usagi. He was pretty flustered then. Yes. Definitely payback. "It's not funny..." She ignored him until they exited the store. Less people were pointing at her, so that idea obviously worked. "I played arcade games when I was a child. I'm not a child anymore." Kyo answered simply. She couldn't act like a child now. She was three years from being considered an adult. Something else caught her attention anyway. "What's that building?" She pointed to a tall structure. It looked to made of many iron pipes, and it was red, white and blue. It was nothing like any structure in Hyrule. "Is it some tower? What is it's function?"

Mamoru Chiba ~ Tokyo ~ Embarrassed

"Sure, not funny. I wasn't laughing at you." Mamoru shrugged, defending himself. Not a child anymore. He seemed surprised at those words. He felt he was only a year or two younger than the Sheikah, and yet Game Center Crown was a huge part of his life, even before he met Usagi. And it wasn't Motoki either that brought him back. He had mastered most games in Crown in his spare time. Before he learned how much he cared for Usagi, he would go to Crown and play the games there to distract himself from his confusing dreams and visions he kept seeing. Did... Playing those games make him a child? He never felt childish playing them. He couldn't help but to feel embarrassed that he even mentioned Crown to Kyo. "Thats Tokyo Tower. It's a communication and observation tower. ...Did you want to go there?"

Kyo - Tokyo - Curious

Kyo had no idea when how long she'd be here. Might as well enjoy it in the meantime. She would get back home. She had to. "Tokyo Tower. How original." She deadpanned. "Don't get me wrong. I'd still like to see it. I bet there's a greay view up there." Kyo stared at the tower in silence. It was impressive. The people back home would love this. "Why are you quiet so suddenly?" She asked without looking away from the tower. "Don't tell me you play in that arcade..." He looked like he'd be going to a formal dinner with a girlfriend instead of playing in an arcade. She said nothing more and continued staring at the tower. "Pay it no heed." Kyo would go ahead, but she didn't know how to get there.

Mamoru Chiba ~ Tokyo ~ Quiet

Mamoru snapped out of his throughts hearing Kyo speak to him. "No one said anyone here were the most original. It's a fitting name. And yeah, it's a great view." He said, gesturing for Kyo to follow him as he took the lead. He winced slightly, but attempted to make it almost unnoticeable. So what if he played in the Arcade? Even after he met Usagi, she'd drag him there almost daily, which he didn't mind. They spent time there, bonded together. Of course, he'd take her out to the fanciest dinners she'd ever had, the Chiba name had a lot of money to it, but Crown was something special. Almost a home a mile away from home at this point. "Is there a problem if I do?"

Kyo - Tokyo - Not talkative

"In my tribe, children are spoiled rotten until seven years of age. We still train, but we can play. Suka-wari was my favourite game. The moment we turn seven, the only game we play is shogi and combat related games. We can no longer act like children. It seems the two cultures are the same cultures at different periods in time. It's... dissapointing how things have... faded. But I doubt it will get any better. Forget about it." She followed him without another word. If Hyrule ever progressed to this era, with technology and towers, her own culture would likely be forgetten. Some structures here still had ancient designs, very similar to Sheikah architecture. And yet there were so few left... Like they had forgotten the old ways. No one wore yukata or kimono anymore, all the buildings were modern... She shook her head slowly. No point in thinking about that.

Mamoru Chiba ~ Tokyo ~ Somber

Mamoru now understood where Kyo was coming from, but it somewhat still hurt. His head tilted down slightly, his hair creating a dark shadow over his eyes. "I had no childhood. On my 7th birthday my parents got into a car crash and died. I was lucky to survive, but I had lost all of memories. I lived in a hospital, a sick injured child for a few years. Thanks to my parents' wealth I had a home. I was haunted by nightmares and visions during the day. I wasn't allowed to be a child. I never thought of this before, but maybe me being drawn to the Game Center is me trying to... Take back a part of my life that I lost." What was he doing? He rarely shared that with anyone. He should have just brushed this off. It was too late now.

Kyo - Tokyo - Slightly sympathetic

Kyo was surprised at the story Mamoru just shared. Why would he trust her with anything? She technically just offended him. "My childhood didn't even last seven years. It was cut short two years early. I was a stupid child. I was told many times not to even think of entering the Shadow Temple. But I did anyway. My parents went after me and were killed protecting me from a Dead Hand. My guardian came in looking for all of us, but she only found me. And if Fate hadn't made me suffer enough, I lost my guardian on a mission at twelve years old." She struggled to keep a straight face, but managed it. She didn't want to think of losing a certain somone to it... "D-don't think I'm trying to be nice. It's only a fair exchange of information. Don't think you'll hear it again." She avoided looking him in the eye. The last thing she wanted anyone thinking was that she was soft in any way and trying to understand his reasons. She was terrible at emphasizing. "Let's just get going."

Mamoru Chiba ~ Tokyo ~ Sympathetic

Mamoru noted her slight struggle but didn't say anything, it was obvious she was trying to hide her pain. He had no pain to hide. At this point he felt nothing, which was most noticeable when he first meets people. As Mamoru, he tended to be a real jerk. As sad as her story was, he felt a bit of comfort, knowing someone else went through loss of parents at a young age, though she must feel a whole mixture of emotions. He had no memory of anything before his 7th birthday, and even then, things after it were a blur. It was almost a blessing in a way. He almost poked at her, saying he didn't hear any of it, but he knew better than that. "We're getting close anyway."

Kyo - Tokyo - Relieved

She breathed a sigh of relief. Usually she wasn't so good with empathy. And she could tell he was being genuine. If he wasn't and it was all some joke, she would have ended him right there. It would not be a pretty sight. She tried not to go into detail in that explanation. Stuff like how much blood she was covered in. Her parents'. How hysterical she was. Kyo was a little jealous he didn't remember the accident. Except he did forget everything else... Kyo perked up at the sound of many little bells. She recognized them as the bells from the graveyard. "Fūrin... There are a lot of these in the graveyard..." The bells were hung from the inside of a strange looking tent. But she still loved the noise. It was nostalgic. She allowed herself a small laugh. These would drive everyone else crazy back home. "They're meant to bring luck and ward off evil spirits..."

(There actually are a lot of these wind chimes near Tokyo Tower. They're the thing I remembered most clearly when I went there.)

Mamoru Chiba ~ Tokyo ~ Somewhat relieved

Mamoru looked around and perked up slightly, seeing the wind chimes. "I forgot they had those around here. I'm used to seeing them near... A friend's Shinto Shrine. It's a bit strange now, saying how I associate their soft chime with the Shrine." He shrugged slightly, watching the chimes for a moment before continuing. He looked to Kyo and frowned. What was he doing bringing her to Tokyo Tower without offering the same to Usagi? He'd always heard her complain about how she never got to go. He should probably ask her if she'd like to come, but surely that'd be rude to his current companion. He could make that up to her, but he did want to hear her voice... "Gale, could we stop here for a moment? I'd like to call Usako. I haven't spoken to her today, and if I don't, I'll never hear the end of it."
