Anhrefn huffed, the best she could do to contradict him. She wasn't embarrassed. Was she?

"But that's probably not the case. I wonder why we exist," he continued.

Callen walked into her cell and gently laid her on her bed,"There you go." He said softly.

Raksha sighed softly,"I don't know." She whispered.

"There has to be a higher purpose than curiosity," Josh muttered.

Max entered the commons area.

Anhrefn blinked at Callen a couple times before curling up on her side.

"I know what you mean." Raksha said softly before looking towards the door to notice Max, pressing a little closer to Josh almost right away.

Callen watched her for a minute before walking out of the cell.

Josh narrowed his eyes and wrapped a protective arm around Raksha. "Why are you here?" He asked harshly when Max approached.

Raksha was trying hard to not show any signs of fear as Max approached, but her wolf ears started to flatten and were soon pinned down against her head as she watched him.

Max cleared his throat. "Josh, Keona will be staying in the lab for a few days. We gave her some stimulant and we want to ensure her safety."

Josh growled and sprang to his feet.

Raksha's eyes widen a bit as she listened to Max before she looked at Josh, quickly taking his hand with her own as she looked up at him with eyes that nearly begged Josh not to leave her side of do anything stupid. She wouldn't lie, she sympathized with his anger.

Josh looked down at Raksha and squeezed her hand. Casting a final death glare at Max, he sat down again.

Max walked briskly out of the room, making a mental note to thank Raksha later.

Raksha watched as Max quickly left the Commons room before she glanced at Josh,"I-I..... I-I'm sorry......" She whispered to him.
