he gave her a watery smile, shaking his head slowly. "All is forgiven. Youre home now.. But its not your fault you were taken from us... We have reason to believe there was someone close to us who was behind it.. We still sont know who, but it was too calculated to be an accident." He explained, placing his hands on his daughters arma. "And since that man may still be out there.. Ill be placing you with a personal guard who will be with you every hour of the day. I'm sorry... But I cant loose you"

She nodded her head. It was reasonable enough. She was a princess after all. "It's ok. It will be difficult to transition though." She sighed. "I do need to say goodbye to someone though, alone. I know it will be a risk, but I have lived there for many years and gotten along just fine. Just this once. I may never see them again..." She looked into his eyes.

(the king should deny her going alone and send Vander along, probably)
(she won't go right now though, maybe after she gets situated)

The king/Evander

his eyes filled with sadness as he shook his head. "I'm afraid I csnt let you do that...I'm sorry darling.
But you can go into town with- " he stopped speaking when he heard the dungeon door open and some one come down the hall whistling. Evander rounded the corner, a sick grin on his face that soon disappeared when seeing the king and his daughter. "Your majesty?
Whats going on?" He asked, looking extremely xonfused and diagusted. The king looked back at his daughter, "Evander. He will be your personal guard. You may go where ever you please, as long as he is with you." Evander face went pale and his eyes seemed to go red with rage. "I'm sorry.... What??!" He gasped in disbelief.

Falein looked at Evander and then back at her father and shook her head. "No Father, I cannot go with him." She turned back towards Evander. "Not with this scumbag who excecutes any innocent enough shifter that never did anything wrong to him!" She took a step closer towards him. "How many have you killed, and to earn what? Glory? To sleep well at night? Well, I can certainly tell you that everyone else that you hurt and hunt, doesn't sleep at night at all! They cry themselves to sleep knowing they aren't safe! Why do you do it then? What have you been searching for this whole time?!" By this time, she was again in tears. She looked him straight in his eyes.

Evander

evander raised his brow as thr girl stepped up to him, seeming to chew him out with everything she had been holding in. Hr listened, patiently, though the words really didnt have much an affect. She was the kings daughter? A shifter? He looked at her, not just because she was talking. He really looked at her. Now he could see it. She was the same girl he had fallen helplessly in love with at such a young age. But so much had changed... He couldnt associated with her now that he knew she was a shifter. After ahe finished speaking he smiled, "oh darling," je placed a calm hand on her shoulder, "I do what I do, for my own reasons. Ones you probably wouldnt understand if I explained. I follow the law and thats all you need to know." He smirked and oatted her head. "Nice to see you so passionate about something." He looked up to the king and sifhed, "sir I'm afraid I will have to decline on yojr offer to be her guard as well.."

The king snorted, "I don't care if you decline. You will be her shadow from now on. So much as let ber out of your sight for more then a moment and ill personally behead you" he spoke seriously, placing a hand on his daughters shouldwe. "Understood?"

Vander's expression slowly grew darker as the kibg spoke, but he pulled oit a forced smile and nodded slowly. "Of course.. Your majesty.." He spoke through clamped teeth.

Falein sighed and turned back to her father. "Ok, Father. Now, shall we get out of this dungeon. It is not the best place to organize such matters. She glanced around at the cells in this part of the dungeon. More than half of them were full. And almost all of the inhabitants were staring at them. She turned back to Evander and said in a quiet voice so the king wouldn't hear. "Oh, I haven't told you my name yet have I?
You may call Master." She give a small chuckle.

(Oooooohhhhhhhhhh, well done! That literally made me laugh out loud and I could almost feel evanders pride being hurt lol)

he frowned, unable to really get a hold on what was going on. He was now tied down to this little twerp? As she whispered in his ear his face went dark red with anger. S vein popped out right on his temple. How dare she use his words against her. He stood in the doorway for a moment before slowly backing up abd allowing her to leave the dungeon first. "After you, your highness." He spoke these words with a bitter taste in his mouth.

As the trio exited the dungeon, Evander remained more quiet then usual. He wore a scowl as he stood near the two royals.

The king checked the time once out of the dungeon and gasped. "I'm going to be late for an important meeting.
Forgive me.. But do what you must do and ill have a servant clean up your room." He placed bis hands on his dsughters shoulders, looking into her eyes and smiling. "Its good to have you back" he pulled her into a hug and squeezed her tightly before quickly running off to a meeting

She watched his face turn red and smiled fiercely. She hugged her father and watched him leave. She sighed and turned towards Evander. "So, I guess I should go to my room and get cleaned up. Do you know the way?" She hated asking him and he probably didn't even know the way, but she would be completely lost on her own. It's been around 16 years and even then she was only four.

Evander

evander crossed his arms. Welcome to the life of a personal slave. Without a word he turned and started wlaking downt eh hallway. He knew exactly where her room was. After all he was slightly obsessed with her as a young child. none of this obsession or love would ever come to her knowledge so some of his hay wired nerves were set to ease. Opening a door he revealed a large suit, filled with childish decorations and toys. It was obvious the king had forbidden anyone to touch the room except for cleaning. everything had remained the same since falein's disappearance.

She gasped when he opened the door to her childhood room. He had practically open the door to her childhood memories. Everything was where she had left it. Even the picture she had drawn for her mum was still hung up. She laughed and half stumbled half ran over to her bed. Laying down on the small bed, the curled up in to a ball. Her cloak tangled through her legs, but she didn't care. She cried soft tears of joy and sadness. She had finally found the part of her that was always missing. But it didn't feel complete. Like a broken vase which was glued back together, but a chunk of the vase was lost forever, leaving an empty hole. She started to cry harder, for all the things she lost, not caring that Evander was still watching.
