vander instructed for the knights to cuff the man and take him out to the horses. But before anything more happened vanders attention was grabbed by a young girls voice. Looking iver, he natrowed his eyes to try and see who was speaking. When the girl turned into a small red fox, vanders face went red with anger. "Forget the man! Get her!" He shouted, pushing one of the knighta over as he darted to where the girl ran. "Cone back here!" He shouted, vaulting over a kitchen table and following hot on her heels. Though she was small and more agile vander was able to give her a run for her money. He was fit and had trained nearly his whole life for an instance such as this.

Usually the guards were easy to out run, but this one seemed more agile than others. She raced along the alley way and turned left, into the shadows. She kept running in the opposite direction of her hideout. She was not foolish enough to lead him right into her secret base. She ducked under a hanging board of wood and raced through a door way. She had entered an abandoned mill.

after a while of chasing and multiple moments vander thought he had lost the fox, the guards following had been lost in the dust. Vander, though enraged at his backup, igbored the fact they were behind and kept chasing. Soon the two entered an abandoned mill and he slowed down. "I know youre in here... Its just the two of us now... Why dont you show yourself?" He spoke loudly, voice echoing through the mill. Though his voice was loud it was as smooth as butter and slipped off his tongue like a snakes hiss. "Come on, roll your dice, take a chance. We both know you can run if things go south."

Falein stayed in the shadows of a ledge as the man walked into the mill. She listened to him as he spoke. Come out of hiding? Ha! She was not stupid. She found a rusty old nail next to her. She silently shifted to her human form and picked up the nail. She threw it across the room, where it clanged on the ground. She then silently shifted back and hopped down the ledge and towards the door.

he started to wander about the mill, slowly getting closer and closer to where the fox girl had hidden.
When she threw the nail, vanders head turned so sharply one might think it would fly right off. His eyes narrowed as a sick grin appeared. "Youve gotten reckless my dear." He chuckled, movong towards where the nail was. With further inspection he saw nothing and frowned. She was smarter then he thought. Turning around slowly he glimpsed some red fur inching its way to the doorway. "I see you" he spoke up, staring directly at where he thought the fox was. "Just come out for a moment, I want to talk with you"

She froze when he did not fall for her nail distraction. She slowly backed further into the shadows. "You can talk with me from here", she said. She would not come out. She would not give in to his tricks. He has nothing to offer her. She wanted nothing but for him to leave.

vander heard the soft voice coming from the shadows and popped some of his fingers. "Whats your name sweet heart?" He asked, moving to the aide a bit to see if he could get a better look at her. Kneeling down he sat on his heels, rubbing his middle pointer and thumb together. He wore a sly grin and his eyes were fixated on the darkness. "Where are you from?"

"Why should I tell you?" She stood perfectly still. Her big ears listening for any kind of movement. She flinched when he popped his fingers. She did not want to tell him any information, but if she could just distract him...

"I'm just curious to know who it is in chasing.. And I'm not one to give nicknames." He moved slightly closer, inching his way ever so slowly closer to the girl. He was trying to make it as subtly as possible so she wouldnt notice hia advances. "But it was a lot to ask,
so forgive me. Who was that man back at the restaurant? I assune you know him, yes?"

She heard him inch slightly forward. "A total stranger." That was nothing near true. "What? Can't a nice young girl help an elderly man?" She never would unless he was her food supply. Which the man that she helped was. She was telling complete lies.
