"Do we have to?? He'll just ruin it again!" He whines, before muttering, "he'll probably puke ink again if we do."

He turns to look at the other gem. "Even if you are, 'new', you should already know most of this. We dont start out as those hideous "baby" things like earths organisms, you know."

"I am not!!" He shouts, stamping his foot in anger. "Ink always ruins the fun!!"
