Liam came downstairs in shorts and no shirt. His dirty-blonde hair was messy and covered half of his left eye; his green eyes were dull with exhaustion but still sparking with their usual mischief. He smiled when he saw his little brother making him breakfast, and stopped in the doorway. Oh, and did I forget to mention he's super ripped? Lol sorry, I'm fangirling about Liam right now, but he's not bad looking, and he's pretty buff. Liam smiled at Mavis before turning to Eider. "Whatcha cooking, little bro? It better be good," he said, stepping into the kitchen and opening the fridge. He pulled out a beer and sat down at the breakfast bar, blowing the hair out of his eyes. "Really Liam? Beer at 9 a.m.?" Eider asked, nauseated just by the thought of alcohol so early in the day. "Heck yea bro, when do you drink it?" Liam responded, and Eider rolled his eyes. "Why are you even here?" he asked, his voice sharp with annoyance. "Don't you have a house? Can't you go ruin someone else's morning?" Liam took a sip of his drink and glared at Eider. "You watch your mouth little bro, cause I can still beat you up. Just like I did when you were little," e threatened him, and the annoyance in Eider's eyes was replaced by fear. "Ok, whatever," he said quietly, returning to his cooking. Liam grumbled something under his breath before walking out on the front porch. Eider sighed in relief once he was gone and popped some toast in the toaster.

"Why does Liam get to drink Alcohol... Isnt he like only three years older then you? Also.. He's weird.." She murmured. Even though she was one of the two people in the world to have animal ears and a tail. She didnt really care.

Eider didn't respond right away. He and Liam had never been close. Jaz and Josh couldn't control his older brother; he was off dating girls before he was even in middle school. He moved out of the house the day he turned 18 and didn't even say bye. The only reason he ever came by the house was to get money and free food. He never called, he never stopped by to say hello, and he never came home for Christmas. He only came on his birthday to get money from his parents. Yet somehow Eider still loved his brother, and that was why he was cooking for him instead of blasting him off the continent with his powers, which he could easily do. "Yea, Liam's an interesting guy. He's 20, so he's always been 4 years older than me. He's only allowed to drink because none of us want to be the one to tell him no. Liam's not the same as he was when we first met. He's changed a lot since he moved out. Now it's almost like he's forgotten we're his family. All he needs is money and his girlfriend Thalia." Eider sighed, flipping an egg in the pan. "But Mom says he's just going through a tough phase, so we always welcome him home with open arms." He glanced out the window where Liam was lying on the porch swing, staring at a picture on his phone. Using his powers, Eider allowed himself to see momentarily through Liam's eyes, and for a second the picture was right in front of him. It was a collage that he had set as his wallpaper, made up of 3 pictures. Taking up half the screen was a picture of Eider, Liam, and Oliver together, lying in the grass and laughing. Liam's hair was a mess, but for once he didn't care; they were only kids. He looked about 13 in the picture, making Simon Jr. 10 and Eider 9. On the right side of the collage were 2 more pictures; on the top was a picture of Thalia, posing for the camera and winking. On the bottom was Liam from more recently, wearing a leather jacket and kissing Thalia on the lips. Eider stared at the photo for a second more before leaving Liam's mind and returning to his cooking. He looked up and saw Liam smile slightly at the picture of them as kids, then frown at the 2 smaller pictures. Eider couldn't tell what was going on in his brother's head, but he knew there was something he was hiding from everyone, including himself.

Mavis nodded her head. She stood up and walked out into the porch. "Hey Liam.. Whats going on.. " She asking noticing him smile then frown. She looked at his phone. "You guys were so cute when you were younger.." She smiled looking at the photo with Eider and him and Simon Jr.

Liam had always liked Mavis; not romantically of course, since she was almost 6 years younger than him, but in a brotherly way. Unlike his conversations with Eider, Liam rarely ever snapped or yelled at Mavis. "Yea, we were cute kids, huh?" he said, smiling slightly at the picture. "Eider was adorable; his ears were bigger than his head! And Oliver, well, there wasn't a sweeter kid in the world. Me, I was a football star at 10 years old." He sighed, staring at the picture. "We've all grown apart over the years though. Sometimes I miss being Eider's older brother- and actually acting like it. Now, even if biologically we're siblings, anyone who saw us would think we're strangers. There are just some things in my life I have to put above him," he explained, thinking of several things he had never told Eider or his parents. Things he certainly wasn't going to tell Mavis.

"Life and school comes in the way alot.. Family is something you get embarressed about because of how popular you are.. Liam.. You always have the chance to act like a big brother. But drinking alcohol wont be a help. And you love your girlfriend. You of course wanna spend time with her. I really know Eider misses his big brother. And Sam misses his best friend. Sam lost his confidence.. And he's really self consious. You seemingly helped him actually try.. cause he realized people wanted to be his friend. Liam. Dont lose the people you have.. " She said. She looked at him.

Deep down Liam knew Mavis was only trying to help him, but he couldn't fight the spark of anger that lit inside him. She didn't not understand him. No one did. "It's not life or school that's the problem, Mavis. My life might seem simple, but there's a lot you don't know about me. Don't even try to act like you understand," he said, scowling. He turned off his phone so he wouldn't have to look at the picture anymore. "I'm glad if I was able to help your brother, but mine doesn't need me. He doesn't want me. Thalia is the only one who I know would suffer if I disappeared; my family wouldn't even notice." He stood up quickly, straightening his jacket. He flashed one ore annoyed look at Mavis before muttering, "Tally, take me home." He disappeared from the porch, his girlfriend's magic pulling him back to her. Eider saw his brother vanish and groaned in annoyance. "I had just finished his breakfast!" he complained, dropping the spatula dramatically.

Mavis, sighed and rolled her eyes. She turned and went to go back inside. But something made her not want to.. She felt annoyed and sortve upset with Liam. She sat down on the porch step and sighed staring at her feet.

Eider glanced through the window above the kitchen sink and saw Mavis sitting by herself, looking depressed. He divided Liam's breakfast into two and plated each separately, adding a pretty little rose to Mavis's plate for presentation. He opened the sliding glass doors and stepped out onto the porch, holding both plates. "Hey babe," he said, going over to sit beside her. "I made you breakfast. Where'd Liam go?" he asked, annoyed with his brother.

Liam appeared in the living room of his house beside Thalia, who was lying down and watching TV. Thalia was a pretty, average-height 20-year-old with long light blonde hair and otherworldly lavender eyes. Normally she would be out playing basketball or working in the garden, but she was currently 8 and a half months pregnant, and in no shape to be moving around a lot. "Thanks babe," Liam said, leaning over to kiss her. Thalia grunted in reply. "Baby, will you get me a Coke?" she asked, not moving from her position. "Of course," Liam said, getting up to serve his girlfriend. While he was pouring her drink, he asked, "How have you felt today, Tally? I know that magic injection can have some weird side effects." He glanced down at the box of pills on the counter, setting beside an injection needle and a bottle of painkiller. "I've been alright," Thalia said lazily, as if she were half asleep. "But why do I have to take illegal medication to become immortal? Can't you just give me a spell or something?" Liam brought her glass of Coke and sighed. "It's not that easy, babe. I don't really have powers; I'm immortal and I can have visions, but that's about it. Have you had any sign of what your powers might be?" Thalia shook her head. "I just can't wait to get this baby out of me. She's getting big..." Liam laughed and handed her her drink. "Just a couple more weeks," he assured her, smoothing her hair. "Just a couple more weeks."

"I dont know.. He just like disappeared.. But he got mad at me when I was only trying to help him.. He thinks you guys dont need him." Mavis murmured looking at him.
