Eider picket out a red tie to match Mavis's dress, then quickly teleported to the Night Realm to get the gift he had told his father to hold onto to be totally sure Eider wouldn't lose it. His dad was waiting with the box, and gave his son a quick hug before Eider had to leave again. Inside the box was a beautiful diamond necklace and matching earrings that Eider had made himself with the held of his mother's earth powers. She had asked the earth to give him diamonds, and the earth did as she said. After that, Eider spent a month carefully cutting the diamonds (with extreme difficulty) and stringing them onto a thin chain. He hoped she liked it; it certainly was a lot of work. Eider put the box in his jacket and teleported to Mavis's house; it was 6:00.

Mavis was ready. Sam fixed her hair for her and brushed her ears' fur and tail's fur. She smiled and opener the door ready to leave before being called by Sam. She hadnt seen Eider when she opened the door. She looked at Sam as he gave her, her phone and her clutch bag.

Eider, noticing that Mavis hadn't realized he was there, took several steps back so that he was back on the sidewalk. He didn't want to startle her, especially when she was wearing heels, so he pretended he was just then arriving. He walked up the steps and said, "Mavis, you look like a rose in a field of dandelions; how do you always surprise me with your beauty?" He extended his arm to offer her, smiling and giving her a tiny wink.

She took his hand and smiled. She blushed slightly, she was adorable. The dress was short, but super good on her. It should have went as far as her knee, but today it went just about an inch above it. She smiled and kissed his cheek.

Eider kissed her back and guided her to his car, still holding her hand. He could just as easily have teleported them somewhere, but cars were more sophisticated, and he felt like being fancy. "I made reservations at that high class restaurant at the edge of town you always say you want to go to. this will be kind of like our... anniversary dinner. It's only a week from the day we started dating, after all." He opened the door to the passenger seat for her, smiling as he closed the door behind her. Then he went around and slid into the driver's spot, turning on some music and driving away to the restaurant.

Mavis smiled looking at her feet. She was so lucky to have him as a boyfriend. She looked at him and said quietly "Seriously babe.. How do you have the money to go there with me as well?"

Eider grinned. "Well, I have several sources. One is my mom. Considering my family... basically owns an entire realm that nobody has been into to dig up all the gold and stuff, all that stuff goes to us. Jasmine, being an earth elemental, can say a single word, and a dozen diamonds will rise out of the ground. We trade those in for money, and that's our monthly paycheck, since none of us have jobs. We also have my cousin Simon Jr., who is an ocean elemental like you. He can summon pearls and undersea gems for money, but most of that cash goes to their side of the family. Mom just went to the Night Realm yesterday and got me the $800 this date is costing me." He laughed, then glanced over at her and smiled. "But any amount of money is worth it for you."

She blushed and kissed him. "Honestly. Im the luckiest girl in the world to have such an amazing boyfriend."

Eider kissed her too and twisted a piece of her long, lovely black hair with his finger. "Not as lucky as I am," he said with a smile, and pulled into a parking spot at the restaurant. He went outside to open her door for her, surprised by how cold it was outside. The cold of course had no effect on him, but he hoped Mavis wouldn't freeze.

After she got out, Mavis noticed herself getting warmer. She looked at Eider. She smiled and said ''Im thinking of dying my hair ginger. '' She smiled. She knew he'd tell her she didnt need too.
