Jasmine
At the food court, Jasmine ordered the boys and herself chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A. They were excited to show her the games they had bought. Liam got some kind of shooting game, as usual, and Eider had bought the newest Minecraft edition. Jasmine nodded, pretending to be interested, when she truly didn't care. "What about you, Mom?" Eider asked when he was done explaining the logistics of coding. "What did you do while we were gone?" "Well, sweetie, you remember that free pass to the ice skating rink your father gave me for Valentines' Day? I used that and watched some professional ice skaters do tricks. It was pretty cool." Liam snorted, and Eider choked on his sandwich. "I bet that was lame." "Why didn't you take me?!" The two boys had very different reactions to her news. "Eider, hon, I only had one ticket! I didn't even think you would want to go!" she explained, not wanting the elemental of ice to get angry. He tended to, well, lose control of his powers sometimes. Eider was extremely powerful, but also part demon. It was a very long story involving a demon possessing Jasmine's husband Josh before they got married and then the remainder of the demon blood inside of him passing on to their youngest son, Eider. The product of a part-demon and an Elemental was a demonic Elemental. Eider had long silvery-white hair and bloodred eyes with pupils that were shaped like slits. He had two furry cat-like ears on top of his head, which was why he almost always wore a hat, and a long furry tail that sprouted from his bottom. Not to mention the two sharp fangs that poked over his lower lip like a Sabertooth tiger. The kid was adorable, but also a little frightening. Liam was, on the other hand, perfectly normal. As sweet as Eider was, he had trouble controlling his anger.
After the family finished eating, Jasmine led her sons out of the foodcourt and around the outside of the mall to a small wooded area. There were several trees here, a small space but the perfect spot for an Earth Elemental to use her magic. She handed each boy an acorn and placed her hand on one of the trees, closing her eyes and murmuring an enchantment. The world around them started to fall apart, the trees blurring and the sky seeming to get closer. Jasmine was just about to teleport them back home when a sudden, powerful aura entered her mind. Immediately she stopped all magic, the blurred world around them falling apart and being replaced by the trees and sky from before. Jasmine was so dizzy when her feet hit solid ground again that she fell to her knees, her head spinning. Liam collapsed into a puddle of mud, while Eider simply leaned over and barfed. "What the $%&# Mom?!" Liam shouted, sitting up, his face covered in mud. "I-I'm sorry... I don't know what happened..." She knew Liam had no powers, so he wouldn't have been able to sense the other magical being nearby, but Eider might have. Once the young Elemental had stopped heaving he turned back around to them and muttered, "I felt it too. There is another powerful being nearby. But seriously Mom, why did you have to do that? That was disgusting."
