Kodi cuddled in closer to Ash as he shifted his position when the wind struck them. He shivered slightly. He wondered in the back of his unconscious mind if any of the wood was dry enough to start a fire with and if the wind would slow long enough for him to go out and get the wood. But in the present he still snored softly, sleeping.

[wolf?]

Ash heard a loud crack as the wind picked up, then the eerie moan of a falling tree. "Kodi..." he said as he shook the boy beside him in hopes of getting him up before the tree fell, but it was too late. The large oak fell with a ground shaking thud right in front of the small den, blocking them in.

[cswolf.]

Kodi awoke when the oak tree fell and he looked at the tree sleepily. "What happened?" He asked sleepily as he looked over at him, rubbing his eyes and trying to get the sleep out of them. The rain and thunder seemed less loud to him now and the lightning seemed less obvious now.

[Sorry for the late response. My muse has been down and I have been busy with work ;-;]

[wolf?]

[That's ok! I will be busy with finals for the next few days, so I may not be as active...]

Ash looked at him in awe, "How did you sleep through all that?" he asked, his eyes wide as he tried to imagine what it would be like to be able to sleep as Kodi did.

[cswolf.]

[That's Ok!]
"I haven't gotten much sleep lately. My fiance doesn't shut up and will not let me sleep.." Kodi explained softly as he scooted away from Ash, embarrassed. "Now, what happened?" He asked him. When it was explained to him he looked shocked. "What are we going to do? How are we going to escape?" He asked him quickly.

[wolf?]

Ash shrugged, "We're wolves, we have claws! We can dig our way out, or tear the tree apart... Your choice."

[cswolf.]

Kodi nodded. "Let's tear the tree apart. We can use the wood for kindling." He explained to him, shifting wolf and beginning to tear at the tree.

[wolf?]

Ash nodded and shifted also, using his claws to tear through the thick bark and eventually into the center of the fallen tree.

[cswolf.]

Once they had dug through the tree far enough, Kodi started up a fire while the storm continued to rage on. He began piling up the extra wood in the corner of the den so that they could use it later on to feed the fire.

[wolf?]

As Kodi started the fire, Ash kept tearing through the tree until he got to the other side. He smiled and made sure that he could get in and out before returning to his guest.
