Kodi noticed Ash in the darkness and he smiled. "Hey Ash." He whispered softly. He swam towards the edge and shifted wolf. He got out and shook out his fur before approaching Ash. He bopped his nose with his paw. "What are you doing out this late?" He asked him curiously.

[wolf?]

He shrugged a bit at the question, "I couldn't sleep..." he said as he stepped up to Kodi and batted a paw at his muzzle, "You're it!" he teased, remembering the game from before.

[cswolf.]

Kodi chuckle. "I agree." He spoke as he looked at him. When he felt his muzzle being bopped he smiled and said "Yes, I am it but it is not safe to play tag in the dark. We do not want to risk alerting any of my pack mates that we are here." He spoke as he looked at him.

[wolf?]

Ash sighed, "So serious..." he muttered as a joke, "Come on, we don't gotta be that careful! I know a great place about thirty miles from here where there are no packs for as far as you could see!" he said with a smile, his tail wagging happily at the thought of it. He didn't know why he had even left. "We could sneak off right now and get there in two days tops."

[cswolf.]

"Ash, I cannot, remember?" Kodi told him. "I am the soon to be alpha of a pack and I cannot leave my pack alone for two days. My parents will get suspecious and come looking for me and when they see you with me, they will kill you and consider me a traitor." He told him. "I do not want either of that for either of us...." He explained to him.

[wolf?]

"But, Kodi, they are forcing you to do things that you don't want to do! If I were you, I would have been on the other side of the world by now." Ash growled. He didn't want to see Kodi being forced into things like hat, he didn't deserve that kind of mistreatment. Ash had to save him... But how? Rogue life would be much better, but Kodi just couldn't see that yet.

[cswolf.]

"Ash, it is not that simple. Arranged marriages are what happens now adays in werewolf culture with high up wolves." Kodi explained to him as he looked him. He was not leaving his pack behind. "I am mostly happy with my life, ok?" He added. Kodi knew that mostly happy wasn't completely happy but he didn't like change and he loved most of his pack. He didn't want to start a new pack and be the alpha of that one. He, in all honestly, wanted to be the alpha female of his current pack. He wanted to marry a dominate male mate rather than being the dominate mate for a female who he didn't even want. He stood up. "I should be getting back to the pack." He spoke now, turning his back on him.

[wolf?]

Ash furrowed his brows, "Well, that just doesn't seem right to me. You should be able to choose who you marry." he said as he tried to figure out a reason why anyone would want to be forced to marry someone they didn't love. Ash watched him turn to leave, but stayed silent.

[cswolf.]

Kodi looked back at him. "It may not be right but it is the way of the pack. I need to marry this girl to unite our two packs." He explained to him as he watched him. He sighed and turned, beginning to walk away. Soon though it began to rain so he fled to a nearby den instead and hid there. He howled, telling his pack that he was hiding until the rain stopped.

[wolf?]

Ash went back to his den at a slow pace, and got a bit defensive seeing that it was occupied, "Hey! That's my de--" he stopped once he saw that it was Kodi, "Never mind... I'll just stay out here tonight." he said apologetically as he sat at the entrence and curled his tail over his paws, the rain getting harder as time passed.
