Nikko slept for quite a while before he woke up. He yawned and looked at the room. It was huge although it was smaller than his house that he had every spot to himself but this was plenty of room for him and Kodi. He figured he also had his own room but he would be in here a lot and he was okay with that. He looked at Kodi. He looked so innocent. His new role fit him much better than alpha did. He felt happy.

Kodi awoke the same time that Nikko did and he yawned. He looked at Nikko and smiled "Hello there Mr. Alpha." He teased him playfully as he stood up and stretched. He yawned once more and rubbed his eyes. He placed his shoes back on and looked at Nikko. "Come on, I think it is time you talked with your people." He explained to him with a smile.

Nikko smiled at him. “Hello.” He said to him. “That is weird to be called an alpha now but I like it.” He said and stood and put his shoes on as well. “Yes I think you are right.” He said to him and went and unlocked the door. He opened the door and walked out of the room. He looked at Kodi and waited for him to be ready so he could follow him.

"It is not weird to be called an alpha female but I love it." Kodi explained to him with a smile. Kodi nodded and followed Nikko. He followed close enough to him but not so close that anyone got too suspicious that he actually wanted to be the alpha female but not the alpha. "You should call a meeting out in the courtyard, alpha." He spoke.

“That is good. I am glad you are happy being the alpha female. That is all you ever wanted so that is exciting that you are going to get that.” Nikko said and walked with him towards the courtyard. He howled to everyone so they would know to gather in the courtyard. He walked to the center of the courtyard and waited for them to gather. When it looked like he had everyone, he spoke. “Hello. As your new alpha, I want to meet with each one of you to address your concerns that you may have. My goal is to make this pack a safe place and happy place where everyone can be themselves and not feel like they are being judged for who they are and so they don’t have to hide it any longer. I will do my best to address your concerns and we should all get along just fine. If you wish to leave the pack, we will talk about that as well. Are there any questions?” He said and thought if there was anything else he needed to add.

Kodi stood and waited for wolves to come forward. Soon a wolf came forward with the concern of Nikko's thoughts about the LGBTQ in the pack. He waited quietly for his answer. Kodi stood patiently as he waited for Nikko to meet with each and every wolf and address their concerns.

“I think you should express how you feel. I am gay myself and so I think you need to express what you feel and not what you were told to be. I want this pack to be open to it as well. I also want females who want to be more active in border control to come to me and I can work with you so you can do that. I don't want stereotypes to run our pack.” He said and waited for a response in case the wolf had anything to add.

Kodi smiled as he heard happy noises come from the pack. "Any other big changes that you are planning to put in place?" One wolf asked. "Is Kodi still straight or did you take him over to the dark side?" One wolf asked with a huff. He didn't seem to like the new changes as much as anyone else did. Kodi just huffed and turned away.

"Not right away. I want to see how the pack operates a little more before I decide what other changes will be made. If there is something that you are thinking of specifically, I am more than willing to listen but I can't promise it will happen right away." He said answering the first question. He paused before answering the next question. "Well... It is not the dark side first of all. Being part of the LGBTQ community is not dark. Some people just aren't the way they are labeled and that is okay. It is what makes us different. A good different. You can't really turn someone gay. They either are or they aren't. I am not going to share his preferences for him. It's not my place to do so. If he wishes to share he can, and before you add anything else sir, yes I do know the answer. Kodi, do you wish to share?" He asked looking at him. He was not forcing him to at all. He just wanted him to be comfortable.

Kodi looked at the wolf. "I am gay. I have been gay for a while now." He explained to him. That caused the wolf to huff and walk off. "I am leaving the pack. I am not dealing with two homos being my alphas." The wolf growled. Kodi sighed and looked back at Nikko. "Why did you choose Kodi?" Another wolf, a female, asked this time. She was curious and watching both of them attentively.
