Nikko put his chin on Kodi’s head gently as he thought about it all. He then looked at him. “Okay I am in as long as you are sure. If you ever want to get rid of me, we can always stage the fight again and have you win. We both know I am not really in it to become alpha anyway. But I am willing to do it. It can't be much harder than living out here on my own.” He said thinking. “It is the only idea that I am almost positive will work to get you out of that marriage.” He said. “When do you want to do it?” He asked him. They would have to practice so that it would look more realistic and people would buy it including his father.

Kodi murred and nuzzled Nikko. "I am sure. And I will never want to get rid of you. You will always be welcome in my pack." He told him as he looked at him. "As long as you continue to cuddle me..." He added playfully. "We can do it next week after the wedding." He explained to him as he nuzzled him with a yawn.

Nikko smiled and chuckled a little. “I better keep cuddling you then.” He said as he cuddled him. “Alright. I will take care of showing up and fighting you but maybe we should work on the fight scene so that I don’t accidentally really hurt you and so that it stays realistic.” He said to him. “I think it will be safer that way.” He said. The only thing he was worried about was Kodi’s father jumping in to help Kodi.

Kodi chuckled. "You'd better keep cuddling me." He purred with a laugh. "We don't need to work on the fight scene. If we work on it then it will not look natural" He explained to him as he watched him. "You will not accidentally really hurt me." He laughed. "And if you are worrying about my father jumping in, he will not..." He told him as he watched him.

Nikko smiled at him. “I will. I really like cuddling with you.” He said chuckling a little. “That is true. It would be unnatural.” He said thinking. He looked at him after he said the next part. ”So you can read my mind now too? This is going to work out really well.” He said looking at him. He felt so comfortable and happy here with him that he was kind of excited to get to do this more often without Kodi having to run off his scent.

Kodi blushed. "I really like cuddling with you as well." He explained to him. "I cannot read your mind. I just knew that would be a concern of yours." He added to him as he watched him. He enjoyed laying there with him. He yawned and closed his eyes once more, being lulled back to sleep.

Nikko smiled at him. “I am glad that you enjoy it.” He said to him. He watched him as he spoke. “I know I was just messing with you. I know you can’t read my mind but that would be cool and convenient.” He said and then he went quiet. It was nice just listening to the rain hit the roof as he started to fall asleep again.

"Mind reading would be cool and convenient" Kodi murmured sleepily. He yawned and nuzzled Nikko again, placing his head in the crook of his neck and falling into a deeper sleep.

"Yes it would." He replied half asleep. He soon fell asleep happily cuddling him. He slept really well with him by his side and didn't wake up until morning when the light started coming in the window. He stayed where he was so that Kodi could sleep.

Kodi awoke when he heard his pack howling to see if he was ok. He tiredly howled but his howl was quiet. He grumbled and nuzzled back at Nikko. "Five more minutes..." He whined softly.
