~When the Woods Grow Red~ 1x1 with Miss & Shell

Elves, werewolves, an ancient forest full of the modern day. When an ancient truce is broken though, an old war bubbles up.
What will happen when the woods turn red? Or will some young creatures find a way to stop this war?

Wenri is a 200 year old werewolf who appears to be in her late teens or early twenties. She doesn't know the exact age of her human body as she was born, not bitten. Her mid-back length hair is a dark, rusty brown that could be called red in the sunlight or black in the shadows. As she was born, not bitten, her eyes have a luminous quality even in human form. They are tawny gold/tan/brown like wolf eyes, regardless of her form. She's short for a full blooded wolf- about 5'3" tall- but very strong. Her skin is fair, only lightly tanned as she spends most of her outdoor time in her stronger body.
Wenri works as a soldier/guard/police type role for her pack.


It's supposed to be Winry, but I kind of like this spelling better... Your thoughts???

Taura, Adair, or Isolde... That's the elf's name

Taura or Isolde...

Taura is strong of mind but gentle and thoughtful of tongue. She's a little more imposing physically than some of the other wafe-like females of her species. She's tall, as elves are, at about 5'10", with long, graceful limbs. If she wore soft dresses and a softer expression, she'd look just as delicate as the others. Her shoulders are a little broad for a female, which makes her better equipped for her bow. Her skin is fair but her hair is terribly black with nearly iridescent qualities. She likes to leave it uncontrolled, swaying in long waves down her back and around her arms. At times she braids two strands and pulls them back with pins. Her eyes are soft, aqua blue. Although she's largely a physical person she is also reasonably skilled with magic. She is not a guard, necessarily, but she acts as something of a scout/spy for her people. She was born to a long line of high-ranking soldiers but she has no taste for killing.

Alek is an old werewolf, he isn't even sure, he was a bitten werewolf, and bares the scars of that life. He has dark brown hair, and even darker brown eyes. At least he did, his one eye is still a dark brown, but the other is a pale, milky white, since he was blinded in that eye when he was attacked by a hunter many years ago. He is a guardian and protector of the pack although he stays on the fringes, since he is a bitten wolf, as well as he isn't the most social guy to begin with, but he doesn't want the war happening now, he doesn't like blood being spilled for no good reason. He doesn't get this feud and he thinks it is foolish. He is a taller wolf, and well muscled, but he isn't overly large in either aspect at six feet tall.

Fen is a tall elf, even for his kin, at a towering six foot six, he is muscular and well scarred, since he is a Guardian of the Woods, and defends it from anything that wishes to bring it harm. He has pale, silvery hair, that is often pulled back in a braid, and his eyes are a moonlit silver colour, unlike most of his kin, he has no magic, and he uses a stave instead of a staff, and hunts with a bow when he needs to, although he is not a fan of that weapon. He is most often in amongst the trees, watching for any threats.

Merril is a sweet and dainty elf, at five feet on a good day, slight and delicate, she doesn't match most of her kin. She's on the small end, and more into plants and healing then anything else. She is skilled with her magic though, and knows how to defend herself, and the creatures she loves, but she would rather heal then harm.

Alek was patrolling the pack border, every since the body of the elf had been found, things were more tense then ever. And he knew some of the pack blamed him, the loner, the changed wolf. But he hadn't killed an elf, he didn't believe in a war, and now he was trying to fix it, he needed to fix this. Even though most of the pack would happily sacrifice him to the elves to prevent a war, even though he hadn't done anything but protect this pack for the last few centuries.

Fen was perched in a tree, which for someone of his stature, was an odd sight, but he was watching near the border, where just the day before they had found the body of an elf, a guardian like him, dead, and smelling of wolf. They had given the pack a week to turn over the wolf who had killed the elf, or else the treaty would be broken and then it would be a war. As much as Fen wasn't a fan of wolves, a war was unnecessary, and it would destroy the woods, as well as their clan.

Wenri followed Alek's scent in her human body, carefully and quietly staying downwind but keeping tabs on him. Her neck prickled as he neared elf territory. She'd been instructed to keep an eye on him. There were higher-ups who suspected him in the hunting of that elf. She knew Alek rather well... once upon a time. He'd been a big part of her training, unofficially. She respected him, but that had been decades ago. She didn't know him well anymore, and he WAS nearing the elf boarder... And when a higher rank tells you to follow Alek you follow Alek. She sniffed again and adjusted her course, well aware that her former teacher was just as sensitive as she was.

Taura walked casually through the trees, aware of Fen but not thinking anything of it. She knew an elf had been murdered recently and it sickened her, but she wasn't going to let petty foolishness from the mutts stop her from her normal activities.

Alek sighed as he walked, he knew Wenri was following him, although she was staying on his blind side, and trying to stay downwind of him. But he'd trained her, he knew her, she'd been with him during the attack that had left him blind, when he had saved her. He knew he was near the elf border, but he wasn't going to cross it, he wanted to see if there were any clues as to who had killed the elf, so he wouldn't have his hide sacrificed to them for the sake of peace, especially if the real killer could just do it again. Although it had been decades since he had trained Wenri, he still kept tabs on her, she was the only wolf he'd been relatively close to, until she'd ostracized him as well due to pressure from the pack and want to move up in tank, not that he blamed her. "Wenri, we both know I know you are there, so why not end the charade and you can follow me in sight and help me try and figure out who killed this elf, since it was not me, although my word means naught to most."

Fen saw Taura and he jumped down and joined her, he wanted to keep an eye on her, since he knew she wasn't a killer and wanted to keep her safe. "How are you Taura, it has been awhile." he said as he glanced at her, they knew eachother, like most clanmates knew eachother.
