Recap - The race has ended, with Caleb's team actually winning, surprisingly. Despite the inconvenience of Lovebug's injury during racing after leaving the last stop before reaching the main cabins. After arrival and victory, Bullet, the new lead dog of Caleb's team, was taunting Adsila, a female wolfdog on Sally's team, middle position. This angered her, and she killed Bullet right then and there. Apparently she had a sort of leg injury, which was part of the reason she lashed out. (I think) Caleb was furious and devastated, wanted to have Adsila put down for her vicious behavior. Instead, she was removed from the team and forbidden from sledding forever, confined to a doghouse in chains. She is ashamed of her actions, and definitely regrets killing Bullet.

Right after the race ended, Bella raced over to the cabins to see Cedar, who was her former mate. They have been having, er, relationship problems. Anyway, it didn't go too bad, he asked he how the race went, and she wanted to know if he was ok. Then they noticed the murder happened over by the finish line. Cedar immediately became horrified and didn't want to believe it, as Adsila was a close friend of his. He was devastated to learn she had killed someone. Especially a sled dog. After Adsa had been taken away to be chained, he and Bella talked. Eventually Cedar told her he needed time to think about things involving them becoming mates again. He wasn't completely sure he wanted to yet. Bella was enraged by this, and she started yelling. Then ran off.

Kandy, a female husky, soon arrived, as Adsila's replacement on Sally's team. Elliot, Lupin, and Kandy had a small discussion about Adsila, and then Bella joined it. She made a rude remark about something, and Elliot knew something had to be up. He excused himself from the conversation, and literally dragged Bella away as well. Wanting to know what was wrong. She pretty much refused to tell him the full picture, and left. Elliot then went searching for Kandy and Lupin, wanting to apologize for leaving their chat earlier. Instead he bumped into Kai, and the two raced home to the cabins after speaking for a few minutes.

The mailman came, with a letter for Caleb, from his daughter Julia. Siku ran out to fetch the letter, and brought it in to his musher. The letter wasn't the happiest one, but his daughter was coming to visit, and he was excited to see her.

Then Siku went to visit Adsila, and the two talked. She cares for him, but he doesn't trust her, at least not yet. After all, she did kill his teammate. He does give her some advice, telling her to focus on the things she appreciates. Then leaves. Adsila doesn't want him to go, but there isn't much she can do, being chained up. She also refuses to eat the canned dog food, or even lower herself to enter the dog house.

Meanwhile Cedar had gone to the lake, seeing Angelica sitting by the edge. (She has a crush on him, and he is starting to grow feelings for her) They eventually fell into conversation, and then raced each other to a large log for fun, then decided to go exploring. On their adventure, they had the pleasure of finding a small metal jewelry box, which contained diamonds and that sort of valuable things. The two dogs brought it back to Heather's cabin, placing it on her nightstand and going to sleep. Before they entered however, Cedar went down to Adsila's doghouse, hoping to get a chance to speak with her, but she had already fallen asleep. So he left her in peace.

--timeskip to morning--

Julia arrives, pretty early, and everyone starts waking up. Caleb comes out to see his daughter, and the two start talking. She meets a few of his dogs, Ballad, Winter, and Siku. She also notices Adsila, chained to the doghouse. Caleb warns her that Adsila is a vicious dog, and she should stay away.

Heather wakes up, and finds the metal jewelry box on her nightstand. She opens it, finding the valuable treasures inside. She is surprised, but also slightly alarmed. She gets dressed and heads out, along with Cedar who had woken up as well. Cedar heads straight to Adsila, and starts speaking with her. He tells her he was worried that one of his best friends was turning into something he knows she really isn't, and assures her that he does not despise her.

Heather noticed a stranger speaking with Caleb, and walked up to the porch. She was introduced to Julia, then went to Sally's cabin and questioned her about the metal box. She was wondering if Sally had put it on her nightstand, even though that was a bit strange. Sally said she hadn't, leaving Heather confused.

Bella joined Cedar and Adsila's conversation, followed by Angelica, who had also woken up. Eventually Bella runs away, saying she doesn't think she should be there right now, and Cedar tells Adsila and Angelica he'll be back, and then heads after her.

Kandy came up to Winter, and the two faes starting chatting about teammates and other dogs.

Sharp barks smacked the fae's pinned lobes as her darkened optics sprung open. Almost immediately the suns rays greeted her sore eyes as she repeatedly fluttered them. Stretching out her large jaw a yawn escaped the hybrid, her crimson tinted fangs shimmering before she clamped it closed. Flicking her right ear the wolfdog slowly stood, stretching her muscled front legs before reaching her hind legs backwards. It had been a couple days since the incident with Bullet. It's been hard for her to forget but she has spent the nights chained up near the doghouse and the day roaming around. Adsila had grown accustomed to her new routine, despite not being able to race she overheard Sally mentioning having her as a " Guard Dog. " Perhaps her new role was even better. Padding slightly forward so she was closer to her musher's cabin Adsila let out a alarming bark. Every morning was the same: wake up, wait for Sally to unhook her chain, and go for a small hunt. Adsila hadn't talked to anyone lately including Cedar. The shewolf had usually been alone a lot, getting the same old dirty looks from the other canines including the new dogs that would be on Julia's team. Julia. Adsila had seen the new human around, they have made eye contact but the fae never could get close enough to her. Adsila had been trying to erase her mistake, but it seems as if her role as protecting them was useless. With a slight whine the wolf slid her backside downward into a proper sitting position. Keeping her thoughts and eyes locked onto the cabin door one of the new brutes passed by. As soon as he sent her a disrespectful glare she responded with a hostile snarl. Fixing her eyes back on the door and avoiding the dogs fearful response she shook her shimmering pelt. It seems as if word travels fast, even the new dogs knew what she did. Of course Adsila knew everyone would put it behind them sometime, but Siku was the one she had to convince. Yup, even the dog she thought was like her despised the wolfdog even more. Everything was a mess.

Jax slowly paced around the snow covered landscape. Going into a quick trot as his pads dug into the snow he sped back toward his musher's cabin. The slim husky arrived a couple days ago and has gotten along well with a few dogs,
but the incidents he has heard happened within the teams has made the brute extremely nervous. Usually he had clean races, no one ever taunted the other teams or ever really " fought " physically or verbally. Taking mental notes he remembered that the wolfdogs were to be avoided, especially the one who killed a dog. Running quicker with his swaying tail close behind he halted suddenly. Fixing his chocolate optics on a nearby canine fear flooded his body. It was her. Taking slower strides he shot a glare at the wolf. He couldn't understand why they even still kept her, she was a killer as for what he has overheard. As she snarled back in response his ears drooped and his body lowered. Scurrying away he let out a sigh. He absolutely did not want to end up like the dog she got to. Continuing toward a gathering of canines the lead dog raised his head and puffed out his chest slightly. Jax wasn't one for making good first impressions but he would try to make some new friends. Who knows, maybe he could actually get used to this place?

sally opened the door with a creak. "what a day..." she muttered sleepily, lazily walking down the steps. she took a look at adsila and that was her call- go feed her! adsila had awakened her now.. "aw, girl... i hope you're not too lonely here. i know, it's hard." she smiled a bit, putting a chunk of meat onto her metal bowl. she unlocked the chains off of adsilas furry neck and let the fae run free into the forest. "go off on your little hunt." she told the female. adsila usually brought back a hare or a small rodent. but it wasn't always just rodents. adsila had caught big mammals before and sally was not even slightly surprised by that. the wolfdog deserved to be free, and it seemed as if a lot of the dogs were leaving adsila out. this was basically the only time of day adsila could really "have fun." even if she was already left off the chains until night. then, sally would latch it back on.

One of the youngest dogs was happily prancing through the snow, a pretty wolfish looking dog, with no wolf in her, but she'd been given to Julia because her naive nature. She heard a bark and her upright ears immediately flicked towards the sound. A bark escaped her as she came rushing through towards a big dog and a human! The female began to whine and dance as she neared them and happily jumped on the larger female the human called "Adsila". Unaware of the food the dog was being fed, or Adsila's reputation, all Pixie wanted to do was play, so after she hung herself up on the other dog's back when she had tried to leap over her, she began licking Adsila's cheek, "Hi! Can we play! I wanna play! What's a hunt? Can I go? Is it like play?" she asked all the question's in rapid fire succession as she looked at the wolfdog excitedly, her tail wagging so hard, the hips that were caught on Adsila were also shaking.

Kai woke with a soft huff, she shook her head and looked around before she stood and shook out her coat. She carefully stretched her pale limbs, looking around to see who was up, subconsciously looking to see if Logan was around, even if she knew that Alicide liked him as well. She didn't stand much of a chance against Alicide, especially since the other female had known Logan longer, but she also didn't want to compete against her friend. When she heard a cabin door open, she looked over and spotted Sally going to release the wolfdog and she just shook her head a little.

Caleb yawned as he woke up and began making coffee, he knocked on his daughter's door to wake her, they had work to do and dogs to feed. "Morning Julia." he called to the door before he went and began making breakfast for them. He hummed a little as he did so, they'd eat first, and then he'd get the food ready for the dogs, they had got in a routine the last few days with Julia here, and he was loving that he got to teach her.

Ballad was still sleeping even as other's woke, he did like his sleep, so he was remaining curled up, his nose under his tail as he snored softy. He was by the cabin, against the wall where he was sheltered and didn't have to try and keep as warm, but he was also out of sight from Adsila, who he had a front row for watching her when she killed the new lead dog on his team.

Sally's presence was one of the few things the hybrid enjoyed. As the woman approached Adsila's fluffed pearl tail begun to wag, something she rarely did but it was to show she was pleased with her arrival. At her musher's first words Adsila's ears melted downward, Sally understood. Letting out a low whine the wolf expanded her chest outward, dragging the chains slightly but made it easier for her owner to unhook them. Despite letting her down Sally ceased to amaze the wolfdog, she was the only person she could truly trust. The aroma dug into the shewolf's nostrils and the crimson meat had the fae's attention. That is until Sally reached to remove the chain. Hands made her uncomfortable, the fae didn't understand why but she tended to flinch even when it's Sally. At the clip of the chain the wolf quickly stood without hesitation, Sally's words of encouragement on her hunt made Adsila proud? Relieved? She couldn't comprehend the emotion. As her large bodice shifted toward the forest entrance a new scent overlapped the meat's. A militant snarl arose slightly as her dark optics shifted to a canine approaching. Even though Sally was present this dog was too much for the shewolf to control. Letting out a short snap of her jaws her snarl still stood, her alert ears folded toward Pixie. After she threw the female off of her spine the hybrid's low growl still showed her aggressive behavior. Now standing completely upward towering over the unfamiliar canine in a display of intimidation Adsila took a large stride backward, now they were standing one in front of the other.
" What do you think you are doing? No I will not play-no you cannot come! "
the fae snapped as her tail curled upward over her back, usually no dogs even got close to her, nevertheless leap on her like a whelp.

Pixie had completely ignore the snarl, when she was thrown off Adsila she was quickly on her feet, wagging her tail so hard that her body wiggled, "Why not? Why are you teethy? What's hunting?" she asked excitedly as she ignored Adsila's threat, well ignored or she didn't understand them. She happily licked the wolfdog's face in an attempt to appease her and let her know she was the top dog so to speak, but all she wanted to do was play. "I want to play! And hunt! Hunting sounds fun!" she said as she excitedly bounced around, showing no aggression or even dominance, she was just a foolish pup with terrible social skills. Then she realized, "Oh! I am Pixie! I am Julia's now! The other dogs didn't want to play! So now I live here!" she said excitedly, thinking that's why Adsila was being all toothy with her. Even after the fight with the other dog, well it wasn't even a fight, Pixie never even realized what was going on other then the play hurt and she made the snow turn red for some reason. She still had scars on her muzzle, and a torn ear from the encounter,the other marks hidden by her fluffy coat. But it seemed she was heading for the same fate with Adsila since she was clearly not backing off.

((Aww Pixie is going to get a few new "nips" at least haha))
