This is a role play between me and Viverrinus! DO NOT POST!!!

This rp takes place in a kingdom. This kingdom is run by a very strict king. He has a son who hasn't always agreed with the way things are ran but goes along with them all the same only wanting to be king. The prince has two knights that follow him at all times keeping watch of him as he goes through town and through the castle as well as knights that guard all doors and entrances.
Although life may seem nice here, right outside of town there is a underground rebellion that is all but secret. Well, to the town that is. To the kingdom, it is known well although the people who run it remain a mystery.
So the reason I tell you this is because the leader of the rebellion and a knight fully dedicated to his job as a knight meet while the leader was sent to spy on the kingdom and infultrait the castle. But they end up taking quit the liking to eachother during that time. So they end up falling in love during the week or so that she is there. Although, when she returns home, the rebellion is getting ready to charge on the kingdom and take it for themselves. This causes problems and stuff you know.

❥Personality- Joyce is typically really layed back and if someone does something, unless it is very major, she lets them get away with it. Although, when it comes to her job, she takes it very seriously and is devoted to her role. She can be sort of a hot head and doesn't trust people easily but once you get to know her, she tends to be a very likable person. She doesn't usually get crushes and relationships at the moment are her last priority but when someone catches her eyes, it isn't easy for her to forget them.

❥History- Joyce isn't one to want to relive her past. As a matter of fact, she hates it. It honestly isn't easy to get her to go into detail so a brief summary is all that is available at the moment.
When Joyce was a child she grew up living a rather normal life in the kingdom. She lived with her mother who stayed at home and her father who was a soldier. This being a fact, Joyce being the daughter of a soldier, she always begged for lessons and of course, being an only child, her father caved. She wanted to be like him when she was older, it was her dream actually. She continued to train with him everyday until one day when Joyce was 15 years old her father had to go off into battle. This unfortunately only resulted in his death. Her mother slipped into a depression and anger against the kingdom that never died. As her mother grew older, Joyce listened as her mother spoke about starting a rebellion against the kingdom right outside of town. Although, her mother was able to create this and start it, she died of unknown causes a few months before her vision would be complete. Joyce continued on her mothers legacy and now owns the rebellion. She has been there training and secretly accepting members since. They plan to charge on the kingdom in 2 weeks.

➣Personality * Backstory * History // Chase always was a loyal, quiet young man. He never really speaks up about anything he disagrees with unless it really matters, which seems to work for keeping him out of trouble. If it means avoiding being yelled at, he's all for it. His father tends to lose his temper quite easily and because of that, Chase always tries to stay away from people that are too... Assertive. One of the biggest things he disagrees with is the way the kingdom is run. He really didn't favor what his father was doing and kind of wished that he wasn't a prince at all.
Chase is the creative type that would rather read instead of prance around taking advantage of his position, much unlike his younger brother, Benjamin, who is often found scaring the wits out of civilians with threats and stories. The both of them grew up together, but they could not be less alike. Ben is quite muscular. Visibly, that is to say. He isn't quite as tall as Chase and he has lighter hair as well as green eyes. He was always seen as the more handsome one. Despite his better looks, Ben is not all that bright. So, therefore, he was almost the exact opposite from his brother. Unlike Ben, Chase is modest, thoughtful, observant, sarcastic, and quick to catch on to things. Many of his hobbies include archery, horse riding, and of course, reading. With practically no responsibilities as a prince, Chase gets plenty of time to roam about the forest and towns to take in the surroundings.
The only bad things about Chase is that he almost never wins fights whenever he cares enough to put in his effort. He gets walked on by not only his brother, but his father as well. Being pushed around and called a liar is actually a nearly every day occurrence in Chase's life.

The pit-a-pat of small feet splashing through the mud surrounded Joyce as she walked through the town. A heavy rain had just fallen leaving all the grass and patches of dirt a large muddy mess which made a suitable play area for any children that happened to he near by. Although, Joyce could only think of what a pain it must be for parents to clean them when they come in begging for food. A small sigh escaped the girls lips her head tilting back to look at the sky which was now sprinkling lightly. She was on her way to the castle where she would attempt to pose as a knight or at the very least, a maid until she can figure out if it was safe enough to send her people on them. She needed to get in deep. Her foot prints shifted in speed as she approached the castle. She walked swiftly her feet suddenly hitting hard stone making a soft thud as she made it to the path leading to her destination. As her form neared the front gate she was, as expected, stopped by a few guards asking her business here. "I'm here for the available job as a knight." She spoke her voice stern. Both the guards laughter rang in her ears. Obviously they don't believe her a bit. A small scoff passed Joyce's lips as a low growl erupted from her throat. "Ik serious." She hissed her voice instantly stopping their laughing as their gazes making their way to the small girl. They immediately knew she was serious watching the hard gaze she had that flickered between the two of them. Although hesistant, they stepped aside letting her in. Joyce entered the building thankful for the warmth of the whole place. Her gaze shifted upward as her fushia eyes looked at the enourmous building. For a moment she kept her eyes up before straightening herself. She couldn't look too impressed with the largeness of the castle. (It was a castle after all) An echo sounded through the room with each tap of her feet on the floor. Now what. Her feet squeaked as she stopped herself suddenly. She had no idea where to go, or who to talk to. "What the hell now?...." she muttered looking around.

Chase walked out of his room wearing the ridiculously formal clothes his father had deemed necessary. They were quite unlike the every-day clothes he would prefer to wear, being very expensive and a little uncomfortable. He had been scolded and told not to dress like a commoner but to act like a prince or get kicked out of the castle. He was getting very sick of... well... everything. He was an adult, yet somehow, he just couldn't escape the feeling of being a child all over again. He had all of the restraints of a teen and none of the responsibilities of an adult. He didn't need a job and he didn't need to pay anything. Many times, though, Chase had considered just leaving the castle without telling anyone. Leaving and never coming back there. It must be nice to be normal... To be able to express yourself. Do things you want to do instead of having to act "proper" all the time. These were very common thoughts that occurred to him.
Not only was he supposed to act a certain way, but he was expected to be best in everything. To excel in everything he put his mind to. But, like all human beings, Chase was definitely not perfect. People have been told to respect the kind and princes, to bow before them and act as if they are the best people in the world. This disgusted Chase in so many ways. For one, he knew he was not perfect. He knew that if people really was him as him, he would be a nobody.
As he walked down the hall and down the stairs, Chase heard the large front doors open and close. Curiously, he turned towards the doors and looked. There stood a small woman with long, red hair. What's she doing in here?... Why is there a townsperson in the castle? Not like he had anything against townspeople. They were generally quite nice, although he wasn't very sure that they were only that way because he was around. No, if his father found out that some common person got past the guards, well... He hated to think what would happen to them. He stepped towards her, his tall, thin frame contrasting greatly to hers. "Hello. What might you be doing in here?" He asked her in the polite tone that his father required of both him and his brother to speak to anyone.

Joyce stood completely clueless. She looked like an idiot just standing there, but what else was she suppose to do?! Joye shifted on her toes a bit her gaze shifting back to the large golden door. Her brow furrowed a bit as she thought only for a split second about turning and going back out to ask the guards for directions. Although....after that little show out front and then practically laughing in her face, maybe it wasn't the best idea she has ever had. She shifted once again straightening herself as she racked her brain trying to figure out exactly what to do. Unwillingly her foot took a step forward seeming as if it was trying to lead her somewhere but she knew that was completely ridiculous. She was lost, completely and utterly lost. For a moment Joyce thought she might just walk and try to find someone to give her directions, but at the moment, this place was a ghost town. Every castle she had ever pictured there were maids and butlers everywhere. But this...this was nothing like she pictures honestly. It was a lot less golden and shiney but the elegance of the whole place made up for that factor. Joyce's feet carried her a few more steps before she haulted completely her eyes once again taking in the beautiful Entry way. She hesitated for a moment before starting to walk again. But she wasn't even able to make it a step before she heard the echo of footsteps down the stairs. She immediately looked up to find a rather tall, lean male walking down. The way he carried himself and the way he dressed completely gave away that he was indeed a prince. She panicked a bit seeing him not wanting to get tossed out before she even got a chance at the job. She heard one of he two princes was rather rude and strict. So she had a 50-50 chance of getting through this right? Joyce stared at him for a moment watching him come down. She had a deep hatred for everyone in the royal family no matter who they were. The king was awful, his sons were a spitting image and his wife could practically be referred to as a witch if she wasn't so pretty. Joyce scowled a bit but quickly corrected herself realizing what she was doing. As the male approached she noticed an immediate height difference between the two of them. He was...rather tall compared to her. This fact made her feel a bit less powerful but couldn't let that get to her. Sudden realization flashed across the girls face as she suddenly bowed in the presence of a prince. "You're highness...." she said swallowing back the hatred that built up in her. Just saying those words made her want to throw up. "I am here for the job....as a knight I mean." She said keeping her bow before slowly rising after stating her business. Her facial features were relaxed but couldn't help the hard look in her eyes as she looked at the prince.

Chase watched, disgusted at himself for letting her call him "your highness" and bowing low. He took in a deep breath, willing himself to keep up his act. He had been caught far too many times acting unlike a prince by his parents and would prefer to avoid being caught doing it again. Chase eyed the woman curiously. You? A knight? Well... I guess you can;t judge a book by its cover... He nodded after a few seconds of thought. "Right, right... Uh, I believe my father is speaking with the general..." He wanted so much to speak about his father with a cold, unfriendly tone. There was nothing, nothing, close about them except for the physical resemblance. Chase disliked his father, and his father undoubtedly saw Chase as a major disappointment. At that moment, a door could be heard closing in the silent and seemingly empty castle. Then footsteps echoed throughout one of the halls and a large, muscular, aged dark-haired man walked out into the open. Another man, middle-aged, and a bit shorter with blond hair, walked out behind him. The deep voice of the king carried to where Chase and the woman were standing. "Yes, I do agree with that-" It paused and the older man's green gaze turned to Chase accusingly. "Chaseden. What is this woman doing in the castle?"
Chase almost cringed at hearing his actual name then returned his father's gaze. "She is here to discuss the position for a knight." He replied grudgingly. All Chase wanted to do was go out on his horse alone for a while... To go out and avoid being called "your majesty," or "prince," or something along those lines, just for once. Was that really such a hard task? Yes. The actual answer was yes.

Joyces eyes didn't leave the male as he seemed to stand there in silence. Obviously he must be thinking it is completely ridiculous for her to be a knight, but she didn't care. She may not look it, but she actually was extremely strong. Sure her physical build wasn't exactly ideal and she had a rather small stature; she was smart and agile. She opened her mouth slightly wanting to say something but quickly closed it not wanting to be rude or anything. Her gaze lingered around the room every once in a while but always landed back on the prince that was in front of her. She took in a breath of air before deciding she probably should say something considering he didn't seem to be talking. "I...." was all she was able to get out when he finally spoke. She let out her breath of air more audible than she meant it to be but kept her composure all the same. "Oh thank goodness I thought you might be mute." She said letting out a small laugh before looking up at him correcting herself quickly. She let out a fake cough before turning her body slightly not saying anything else. She felt rather awkward and almost turned to leave when the large door opened once again. Her entire body immediatly shifted to look at the rather intimidating man who she knew as the king. Being honest with herself, she was rather terrified of the man but wouldn't dare to show it. She simply stood there silently until the large male finally spoke making Joyce jump a little. His voice was rather loud and harsh. She kept a stern look as he finished only Bow right after. "Yes sir I am...." she said not sure what else she should say. What else could she say?!

Chase let out a small laugh which sounded more like a scoff due to his effort to mute it. He covered it with an awkward cough, then looked up at his father, whom he wished would just let him go. He knew, however, that this would not be the case. His father would find something wrong with what Chase was doing, somehow. Then he would tell Chase to do something, then, of course, start yelling because it wasn't done right. This routine happened almost daily. He just hoped that his father wouldn't start yelling in front of this stranger, which would be embarrassing, regardless of who it was.
"Hmph." The kind gave the woman a disapproving look then turned to the general. He shrugged and also turned his gaze to the woman standing there. As if knowing exactly what that meant, the king then spoke. His strong voice echoed slightly in the elegant castle as he stepped closer, followed by the general. "Very well... I assume you can fight, yes?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "Of course you can. No person in their right mind would try to be a knight without any fighting skills. Only a complete fool would do that." At the word fool, his gaze flickered to Chase, then back to the woman. "If... You can beat my son in a duel, then you will be a knight." A mischievous smile spread across his face. He had no intention, of course, to let this girl into the army. If she did, however, beat Chase, the king would have the enjoyment of humiliating this sorry excuse for a son. "What is your name, girl? And what weapon can you use?"
Chase felt his face grow warmer at being unwillingly volunteered to be in a duel. [i]Why me? Why not Aaron? I don't want to beat up a girl and I certainly don't want her to win. Aaron would gladly try his best.[i] The strong feeling of hating being a prince suddenly hit him again. He sighed and crossed his arms, an emotionless expression left on his face. He didn;t want to show his dislike of this situation. He knew that his father was having fun with this. There was nothing he could do about it.

Joyce was a bit surprised to hear his...laugh? Scoff? It didn't really matter what it was, she knew by the sound of it, that there wasn't any ill intent attached to it. Against her will, she felt the corners of her mouth curl up into sort of a smile but she quickly bit down on the inside of her cheek trying to make the smile go away and luckily, she succeeded in doing so. Her attention was quickly drawn away from it as the king eyed her. She kept her gaze on him as he seemed to examine her. She watched them speak to eachother wanting to cock a brow or ask them exactly what they were thinking but maybe keeping her mouth shut was the best thing to do right now. She waited for what seemed like forever before the king finally spoke. She stayed silent as he spoke only being able to smirk as he mentioned a duel with his son. A duel with one of the people she hated most in this world? Hell yes. This was her chance to show this kingdom what she and the entire rebellion were really made of. Except....they wouldn't actually know she was part of the rebellion at all. That made her lose interest a little, but not much. She sighed softly before nodding. "Of course I except your highness." She said her eyes flickering to Chace a smirk on her face and a fire in her eyes before he eyes returned to the large man in front of her. "My name is Joyce Becks sir, and I typically use swords or close hand to hand combat." She said before adding. "I also am rather skilled in archery even if it isn't what I'm use to," she said simply waiting for an answer from him.
