1X1 with Imagine If... & Pool of the Moon

[Imagine If.....]

Amos, was finally alone. His soldiers, Mary, and Kenton all gone, and tied up with a different duty.
Relaxing for the first time in hours he looked at the clock, three hours till dawn. Time to see Haddie.


Opening her door, he crept in, closing it soundkessly behind him.
Seeing her by the open window, pacing back and forth, he came up behind her.
"Hello." He said gently as she stopped in front of the window, and he stood behind her.
Looking up past her into the night sky he sighed,"You know I used to think there was nothing as beautiful as those stars."

Haddie was being impatient. She paced and mumbled and watched the window. She jumped in surprise as he came up behind to "Amos do not scare me! I am already stressed out about my brother!" she said but it was not harsh more scared and worried. she paced around still. She watched the floor "When can I go see him... I need to see my family Amos... please..." she begged

[Imagine If.....]

Amos avoided her gaze, feeling a bit relieved when she gazed to the floor, it would make saying this much easier.
"I don't know who attacked him, but it was no normal mugger." He said simply rubbing the back of his neck.
"Mary will take you home tomorrow..." He started carefully,"on one condition."

Haddie wiped her tears away "Ok... Tell me what it is" she said and finally looked up at him waiting and she was quite scared to be honest

His gaze went past her as he spoke his demand,"You return here, every night before sundown." Speaking it out loud now made the demand sound, well, insane. But He was set in this demand, it had been a miracle that Julian had talked this small bit of sense into him. Julian being the most normal of the four staples of the household (Amos, lord of the household, Mary his second in command and head of the militia he had guarding the grounds, Julian the head of the house and kitchen servants, and informal adviser to Amos, And then there was Kenton, Mary's most well trained soldier, and the man who still hadn't worked up the guts to tell Mary that he had feelings for her.)

Julian had been the one to talk Amos into being more relaxed around his newfound companion, and Although Amos had been very moody at the time, and even snapped at the old man Julian continued to point out that there was no way Haddie would grow to trust him if he kept her imprisoned here.

Haddie hesitated a moment. It was a bit strict but then again it was not the worst he could do. She nodded "Fine... But you have to be lenient if my mother gets too suspicious she will follow me and I don't need her getting hit or following me back here" she said. She watched to see his expression hopefully e would not e angry.

[Imagine If.....]

Amos did not not, nor did he shake his head.
"I will attempt to be lenient." Was his only reply, before turning to leave

"I suppose you would like to be left alone now..." He muttered, as much as he wanted to stay, it was only polite to leave so she could sleep.

Haddie watched him nodding glad he had agreed to at least try. She let out a relieved sigh at his words until he turned to leave. She paused a moment and was not sure what he would say but she decided it was worth a try to say something "Uh... Could you stay? Please... Just a little while" she said her voice a bit more timid than usual. She watched the ground hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

[Imagine If.....]

Amos smiled at the timidity of the shorter girl,"of coarse." He answered in reply,"Although I do have to insist you stop pacing and angry and rest." He said gently, letting his huge form sink down into a rocking chair in the corner of the room. It freaked alightky, but held his weight.
Spreading his wings out behind him, so they draped over the aides of the chair, he refocused on her,"Do you have a particular reason for wanting me to stay?

Haddie sighed in relief as he replied much calmer than she had expected and she nodded at his request. She climbed under the covers and patted next to her feet and watched Esa scramble up the lay next to her. She thought about his question a moment then shrugged "I'm not sure... I suppose it's because this is all unfamiliar to me and you are the only one here I trust..." She said softly "Mary seems like she is ready to rip me up and throw me to the birds, Julian is nice but I don't know him very well, and then there are the others... I don't know them and Mary said since I was just your 'play thing' that one of the 'others' might see me as a meal..." She said with a sigh "So I suppose I am a bit scared, and unfamiliar here" she said "Not to mention some of the residents do not seem too happy about me being here"
