Ikgrir wasn't sure how to work the oven. He considered asking Aaron, since he had said to see him for help, but that was with the ingredients not the actual baking part. He looked at the oven, it should be easy enough to figure how to work, right? He could see that there was a shelf for the sheet to be placed onto, and a firepit right underneath. The fire pit wasn't lit, he had to think of how to start a fire. It couldn't have been much different from how dragons started fire, only with different materials. There was the fuel, obviously the wood and then the igniter to start the flames. There was some flint near the fire pit, and he put the uncooked pastries down to start working on the fire. He didn't want them to get burnt if the flames stretched too high.
He made quick work trying to like the fire, but the sparks weren't igniting the wood, there was no other starter. He did have his own fuel, and to quicken the work, he blew a small amount of hydrogen to ignite from the sparks, and get the fire started. At first, it was like a small explosion as the hydrogen practically blew up in his face, but he didn't mind it. It did ignite the wood, if which quickly burned before slowing to a steady fire. He then set the pastries on the top rack, and it was time to wait for them to cook.
(Yay, real science placed into fantasy!)
