I look away as Ikgrir glares at me, feeling guilty about it, which was rare. I never felt bad about stealing, but for some reason Ikgrir's dissapointment with me actually made me feel like I didn't want to steal. Weird. Maybe it was just because I didn't want to ruin his chance at a job since he already failed at getting one. Yes, that must be it.
"It's alright, I understand what it's like to not have much," the baker said, not mad with him. He guided Ikgrir towards the kitchen, simply asking out of curiousity, "so how did you two end up together anyways? It's not very often that you see a dragon with a human." Pausing once they arrived, he walked over to a shelf, grabbing a book from it. "I assume you can read, since you said you have some experience, correct?"
