A Kingdom Divided (Amiko/She-Wolf)

[Amiko]

Zeegreen appeared on the wall the divided the forest and the town. With a flick of his tail and a purr he shot off back into the forest with a mischievous look in his eyes.


Connor slowly glanced towards Kai and seemed to glare before he looked at his sister with a look that she was stupid for even asking. Practically living in the library made it where he understood a lot of different languages, knew thousands of spells for different occasions that he never used, and was all together one of the biggest forces to be reconned with so long as his body was broken like it was now. But, because he didn't care to talk much most of what he knew stayed locked in his brain. But Connor knew what zee what, how old he really was, and he knew WHO he was.

Sin finally gave up on getting into Simon's room when even a normal guard couldn't​get the door open. His eyes were cold as he walked off trying to find a way to open the door without destroying everything in the room as well.

Eve shuddered from the magic and stayed close to the ground with her eyes averted from ​Bryn. Her voice was unusually soft and didn't seem to fit her giant form as her mind brushed Bryn's 'i deserved it.... Just let me go back Bryn...'. Usually she had some snippy nickname picked out for him because it's just how she got along with him was picking on him, but not this time.

"Hush." He said firmly. "No one except those who hurt you like that deserves to die like a coward." Bryn pulled out a few bottles and a rag. "Mind shifting so I can clean the wounds better?"

"Don't give anyone here the stink eye Connor." Annie growled. "How do you know who he was when he's been locked under the castle for god knows how long?"
Kai growled lowly and sheathed her blade. "The feline is twisted in the head."

Aela huffed as she sat on the steps of the castle, not being let in. She was frustrated nd torn with herself.

Eve shuddered a bit before she slowly shifted back into a human, however in her human form the wounds looked darker and her body looked to be in a bit worse shape. She stayed close to the ground and took a slow shaky breath from the pain the shift caused her.


Connor slowly raised an eyebrow and struggled to rasp out "really?.....you have......to ask?"


Sin stopped near the front feeling Aela nearby with a sigh he walked outside and grabbed her arm "come with me. Your skills could come in handy today". Sin was always good at making his emotions around the other guards, especially regarding his friends that he knew they didn't care for like Aela.

[She~Wolf]

"It's alright... these will numb them, and should ward off toxins." He said. He sat behind her and sighed, gently taking her arm as he cleaned her wounds carefully. "I was not expecting this to happen... well not to this degree." He said softly.

Aela yelped in surprise, stumbling a bit before following him. "What is happening?"

"Yes because you don't talk to me anymore you isolated idiot!" Annie bellowed, making Kai look rather surprised that a fierce voice came from a human princess.
"Enough! Anurielle go take a breather. You have a lot to talk about, but when your energy returns. Kai, is there a way to return his power?"
"There is my lord, but Bryn should have explained that even if I returned it now, it would be locked away until he proves he's worth it the magic. But, I could attempt a temporary bond. If he desires it he can tap into my magic, he can't use it like his but it could help." She said with a sigh. She rather not have it go that way, but something was eating him from the inside out, and she couldn't let him die.

[Amiko]

Eve never flinched despite the pain and whispered "what did you expect to happen when they found out I've been protecting the very humans I was sent to infiltrate and kill Bryn?". Eve had told only Bryn about her past, and that was after a night of them competitively drinking and her finally giving in after a very long night. But she'd made him swear to never tell anyone simply because it could start a war that she wanted to avoid at all costs. Eve had a decent cut that ended inches short of her jugular, as a final warning to her. Her whole body was shaking a bit from the pain and the fact she was tired of fighting all the time.


Sin glanced down at Aela with his jaws clenched "Simon made it impossible to get into his room here. There's something in the magic he used....and I can't risk forcing the door open without risking everything in his room...."


Connor took a shuddery breath and glared out the window. Despite losing his magic to help him heal himself, he could read he expressions of the others and still felt the air around them. He was beyond annoyed now, especially with how his body would always fail him when he couldn't just keep healing himself.

[She~Wolf]

"I expected you to fight back and to tell your friends." He said softly. "You're a strong fighter, and you're friends are fiercely loyal to you... you risk their trust by not telling them and still meeting your family."

"Ok what can I do?" She asked. "I'm just a ranger... not a mage."

The King nodded and looked at his son. "I wish you said something about how ill you were...do you wish to attempt what Kaida spoke of? To help mend yourself?"

[Amiko]

With a weak laugh and a look at him over her shoulder Eve showed just how much she was hurt. "I never went back for them. I had to go for me. Hey just happened to find me.... again". There were tears slowly building in her eyes before she closed them again and let out a slow shuddery breath from her pain. "It doesn't matter anyway. Aela doesn't trust me and I can't blame the mutt.....but she'll find a way to the others and things will end up like crap all over.... Though I don't know why I ever thought this would work". She slowly pulled away from Bryn and pushed herself to stand despite all her pain and slowly opened​ her tired eyes. "They want the others dead more than they want me alive...and eventually they'll find a new way to get what they want."


With a slight smirk sin glanced at aela again "I haven't tried your help yet on his door. All I know is the man had something he was hiding aside from the cat kid.....who by the way I have a bad feeling about..... especially after seeing him in Connors room"


Connor gave a weak laugh that felt like it was going to kill him before glaring at his father and wheezed out "you....never.....pay..... attention"

[She~Wolf]

Bryn rolled his eyes and sighed "lass...gingers are easy to upset.. but we're fiercely loyal." He said, "like you said she shouldn't be blamed, but if you don't fight for your innocence it'll just reassure her fears your guilty. You three are thicker than theives, oddballs the three of you. Talk to her and it will mend itself alright? She's family to you."

Aela raised a brow. "I'm not sure... he was tortured for a long, long time but he hand a chance to kill Anna and myself. He never did... but I am wondering where exactly he came from.. and what he is." She muttered. "Anyway how can I help?"

The King went to speak, but Kai spoke first.
"Blood is blood young prince. Value it while you have it. Never close the people who love you out of your life." She said softly. "Now back to saving your hide. Do you wish to tap into my power to sustain yourself?" She asked again firmly.

Far away a darkness seemed to stir, something was awakening, and it was hungry for power once more.

(Time jump for a few hours)
The King sighed as he leaned back in his chair next to his recovering son. "Connor. I'm very worried that something here is bothering you, attacking you even. I think a holiday would do you some good. Your cousin sent an invitation to her engagement party in a fortnight, why don't you and your guard go? Have some fun, be around people your own age. You can also use it to do some Princely duties, like getting to know the families and who is a good Allie to have when either your sister or yourself take over. And I'm sure you remember the MarTells magic library, I know you used to adore the spell books, and I feel safer knowing you're more protected in a magic friendly home than what ever is happening here."
Kai raised a brow when she was mentioned. This place seemed interesting, but she wasn't sure on how the Prince would deal.

A large bowl of stew was placed in front of the tigress. "Here, eat up, then go make up. Alright?" Bryn said softly.

Aela grumbled as she sat infront of the door. "Can I just burn it all down?"

Connor's eyes hardened slightly as he stared at the ceiling before him. As usual he'd fallen silent looking more like a statue of himself than how he had been for years. With his magic constantly healing him he'd been willing to be around others and he helped off and on but usually he just stood there watching quietly when no one needed him. Now, unable to move and with his body screaming in pain still he barely breathed and really didn't care to speak or be around anyone anymore.


Eve sighed softly and lightly pushed the spoon around in the stew "honestly I'm not sure what I can even say at this point. Everything sounds like I just made it up to save my own hide." Eve's tail flicked slightly behind her before it slid up and wrapped around her waist where it rested most of the time so it wasn't stepped on and so the guards left her be thinking she was just covered in off scars rather than thinking she was a tiger.


Sin chuckled and flopped onto the floor beside her looking dead on his feet "I wish. But we need to know what all he's got in there and what he was doing. With the cat and anyone else he may have been working on". With a heavy sigh he ran a hand through his hair "what in the seven hell's are we missing to get in there?"


Deep in the forest ze lay in a tree sleeping lightly where every time any noise his his ears he'd wake up a little. His eyes slid open slowly hearing a deep growl from below only to stare into Eve's mother's eyes.
