Layla watched him play the game smiling. She was having a great time and was glad that she agreed to come with him. She looked at him as he picked his prize and took it when he held it out to her. “Thank you. I really like it.” She said to him. She still was trying to figure him out. She looked around. “What would you like to do?” She asked. “It is your turn to pick.” She said. There was so much to do before the lanterns were sent up and the whole event was over.

Layla looked at him and smiled a little bit. It was rare but she was having a good time. She looked at Jake. She could tell he wanted her approval but she was really not sure why. She did not feel like she was that great. But with him being a vampire, that was all that she could ask for. She did not want to end up hurt because of him so she would play along. The game was not her favorite but she did not mind. "Okay. We can go. I will let you know when I get hungry but I am okay for now so I do not mind you wanting to play the game." She said and walked over and waited their turn. She looked at all of the prizes.

Layla smiled a little at him when he said it was unfair. “They all are. They can’t give away all of the good prizes.” She said with a smile. She watched him play and could tell that he was going for the smaller balloons. Those always held the best prizes. She looked up at him as he said they could split custody. She laughed. “Very funny.” She said still holding the larger panda. She handed him the bigger bear and let him put it in her bag. “Thank you.” She said to him. She looked around at all the games. Most of them where not very fun and she knew they should get food before the lighting of the lanterns so she decided that they needed to get food. “Let’s go get food. I don’t want to miss our chances to get it when the lighting starts to happen. Everything kind of closes right before that.” She said and walked to where all the food trucks were. She looked at what they had to eat. “Um…how about a deep fried burger with curly fries? Then pretty much everyone gets a funnel cake or elephant ear for dessert so we could do that too. Do you even like to eat food?” She asked him quietly not really sure. She did not know that much about vampires but she knew that they did not eat human food in the movies. She watched him and hoped that he could at least enjoy some of the food there. It was always so good. She looked up at him.

“Actually that does sum it up. That is the only reason we eat a lot of the things that we eat. Taste beats nutrients everyday.” Layla said looking at him. She nodded. “Trust me. Me ordering what I really want is never going to be an issue. I generally do not care what people think of my eating habits and I just want to eat how I feel like. Hate to burst your bubble but sugar is my favorite thing to eat.” Layla said to him. It was actually a bit surprising that she was that small. She loved to eat whatever she wanted too. Of course, she did eat a lot of fruit because she loved it so that could have been one reason. She listened to his question. “Yes it is the one with peanut butter. I love it too.” She said smiling at him. She waited in line and when they got to the front of the line she ordered a deep fried cheeseburger and curly fries. She then waited for him to order what he wanted.

Layla took her food. "Thank you." She said and looked around. She saw a table. "How about we eat at the table and then it should be almost time to light the lanterns." She said to him and went and sat at the table and started to eat. She thought the food was amazing. She was enjoying the taste of fried food. She watched people walk around as she ate. She looked at Jake. She was not sure what to say to him.
