Layla looked at him and was surprised. "I was not planning on going at all actually. But I guess if you want me to I can but Sarah will know where I am and who I am with." She said to him. "Plus, we will be in public. Come to my place at five tomorrow if you want to go." She said to him. "Sarah has to work though so she can't go sadly. I was planning on going with her but things changed." She said to him. She smiled a little at him for the first time since she met him. It was not very big and only lasted a second though. "They are interesting. What ones are your favorites? I like anything that has to do with science." She said to him. "Books are really great too." She said to him. She was surprised that her walls were starting to come down just a bit but they were obviously still there.

"I will be there. I am just saying don't do anything sneaky. My friends will know." She said. "As for books, I prefer mysteries as well. They are fun to read but I also love romance novels. They are cheesy and fun." She said to him. "Do you listen to any music? I prefer classic rock but others are good too. I am not that picky with music." She said looking at him and stopped in her driveway. She was not sure if she wanted to keep talking to him or not but she decided to wait for a bit. She watched him. She thought he was not that bad looking. Actually he was really cute but that was not extremely important to her. She was always about what is on the inside and how they acted towards her. He seemed pretty nice so far but how long would that last?

Layla looked at him. "Sorry about that. I do it with everyone." She said looking down a little embarrassed. "I am with you on the dubstep though. It is just not my style." She said. She was only five foot one. She looked up at his face. "I am also with you on the screaming. That has to hurt after a while...well unless you are a vampire. They could probably get away with screaming like that without any effects but a human could no way do it for a really long period of time without damage. I should probably let you go and get on with the rest of your day. It is getting pretty late. See you tomorrow." She said and waved a bit before starting up her driveway and towards the house. She was wondering if he would stop her to talk some more or let her go.

Layla smiled at him a little. "Well, there is games and stuff starting at 3PM and then we send the lanterns up as soon as it gets dark." She said smiling a little at him. "So we could meet up anytime after 2:30 so we can get there." She said and shrugged. "Goodnight." She said and went inside and locked the door. She went to the kitchen and grabbed some food before going to her room and getting ready for bed. She laid down and soon enough fell asleep happily. She dreamed about the lantern festival and how much she loved going to it every year.

Layla was asleep until eight AM. She got up, took a shower, got dressed in gray colored jeans, a long sleeve light pink shirt, and a white puffy vest. She also put on makeup and curled her hair and put it half up. She went out with her friend for their morning coffee trip and got an expresso. They talked for a while about the lantern festival. Her friend was so excited to hear she was going with the mysterious Jake. Layla was not sure that she was as excited. Her friend didn't know his secret. He could easily hurt her or kill her. She went home and her friend went to work. She sat on her couch reading as she waited for Jake. She was really not sure about him. She didn't really trust him, but he was kind of cute. She walked to the door when he knocked and opened it. "Hey." She said and put on her coat before grabbing her purse and walking out. She looked at him. "Do you want to walk or drive? It is close enough, we could walk but it would take a while." She said looking at him.
