Jake Russ

Jake stayed in the dark woods until he had come to believe she was asleep. He went to search for something to hold him over until morning and eventually found a deer that had been injured by something and was limping. After filling up, He simply walked around the area until he saw the morning light and then headed back until he could once again catch her scent. It was unusually sweet in his opinion. And he hadn't had any taste of human in so long.. His father raised him to believe that humans were allies and to simply live with them but that changed when Jake turned 11 and his neighborhood found out about the "monsters" living in the vicinity. They all wanted Jake's family out of the neighborhood and almost burned his whole house down. Afterwards, his father and mother moved Jake into his grandfather's house where Jake now resides, only now he's alone. His grandfather hated humans with a passion and only thought of them as a meal. But he was slain soon before Jake's 18th birthday by a very determined human who had been hunting the man since he moved there. Due to all of the past events, Jake felt the need to not only kill humans but torture them beforehand. Making the pain unbearable and the death slow.
Though even with all of the hatred, he planned to kill the human girl quickly and as painless as he could. He suprisingly didn't want this one to suffer. Did he even want her to feel pain at all?

Layla woke up and turned on some music before she got dressed. Her friend came over and she unlocked the door and let her in. She put on her shoes before the two walked out. She locked her door and they laughed as she walked to the coffee shop they went to every morning. She went into the coffee shop with her friend. She got a chai tea latte before sitting on the window seat with her friend. She told her what had happened last night and about her head that now had a nice bruise. Her friend thought it was creepy. Layla nodded and sighed. "It was but I just will be more careful about when I leave your house. You can bet it won't be at night anymore." She said.

Early the next morning, Jake noticed the girl leaving and seemed to be with another human. he followed them from a distance, assuring they didn't see him. Once they entered a small coffee shop, He simply found a nearby bench and waited. This girl wasn't getting away. He began thinking of ways to catch her attention so that she simply knows he's still here. He could just barely see them from where he was sitting. They were in the window of the coffee shop, chatting like every other young girl. Then it came to him.
He stood quickly and pulled his hood over his head, his eyes burning away into a deep red with persistence. Jake entered the coffee shop, assuring to stay behind others until he reached the counter where he ordered a simple coffee that he'd only waste. Once it was handed to him, he panned the shop for an empty seat and found only one. It was a lone table across the room from the two girls but it would have to do for now. It was just an excuse for a destination anyway. It didn't matter.
He began walking and made it a point to swiftly pass the girls, keeping his eyes on the small girl from the night before. He then took his seat and pulled his hood down, taking the tiniest sip of the human drink

Layla was talking happily to her friend until she saw Jake and stopped. She looked at her friend. "That is the guy from last night..." She said to her. "Is he following me?" She asked her. Her friend shrugged. "Never have seen him here before. Go ask him." She said. Layla sighed. She was about to ignore her friends suggestion but her friend stood up. "I will ask him." She said and walked over. Layla's eyes got big. "Sarah don't!" She called softly. She then sighed and followed to make sure her friend did not make a complete fool of herself. Sarah looked at him. "Are you following my friend? I only ask because we come to this coffee shop everyday and have never seen you before. Plus with what happened last night. You need to leave her alone." Sarah said and walked away. Layla looked at Jake. "I am so sorry. Please don't take it personally. She is having a bad day." She said and started after her friend. "Sarah!" She called.

Jake was bemused at the girls. They actually confronted him! This girl obviously was not aware of what he could do.
He stood and walked after the girls, approaching the brave one that confronted him.
"It might seem that way, I understand." He began. "But who could blame me? Your friend is oddly interesting."
That's it Jake. Play the 'crush card' that all humans fall for. "She's quite attractive, don't you agree?" He asked her friend. He released a smile to the friend and moved his eyes to the girl. She won't buy it easily but the friend might. It was his easiest option. Hopefully the friend would be an average human girl and push her friend to forgive his following. Push her to believe that the strange man she ran into last night wishes for her in a different way than as a meal. Of course, it would take time. All today and possibly tomorrow. But for some reason, Jake saw it worth it.

Layla looked at him not believing it one bit. "But you just met me...no one can develop a crush that fast. Plus, you don't even know my name." Layla said to him. "Please stop." She said and walked back to her window seat and sat there. Her friend smiled at him. "Awe! That is so sweet! Lay, you have to believe him. He looks so honest!" She said to her. "He thinks you are attractive." She said. "You always wanted a boyfriend." She said. Layla looked at her. "What? You are the one who wants a boyfriend. Remember?" She said and looked at Jake. "Please ignore her. She has no idea what she is talking about." She said and sighed. "I am going to go now. I really hope that neither one of you will come." She said and walked out. She walked a few blocks before she went into a crowded bookstore. Her friend looked at him. "Sorry about her. She does not trust anyone...like ever..." She said to him.

Jake knew she wouldn't believe it. This would be harder than he thought.
"Thank you, truly." He said to the girl's friend. "I appreciate your help, have a good day." He threw her friend a charming smile before walking out of the shop and throwing away the disgusting human drink.
The friend called her by a nickname. Her name must be Layla.. it only makes sense.
He quickly followed Layla into the store and smiled once more. "I understand you're having a hard time believing me. My name is Jacob, and I now know that you are Layla. We need to start over, last night was just miscommunication." He could hardly hold back the smirk at his cunning idea and instead kept his eyes on her with the best smile he could pull. Clearly trying to show his teeth once again despite his words.

"Oh wow. Yes I totally believe you and am falling for you and your dreamy eyes." She said sarcastically. "Look. I am really not into dating people I meet off of the street. I am sorry." She said to him. "But it was nice to meet you Jacob." She said and walked to another isle and looked at more books. She picked a few out and went and paid for them before starting out of the store. She was not going to be able to go home with this guy following. She did not want him to know where she lived so she stuck with public places walking into the library. There were quite a few people there and she sat down and started to read one of the books she just bought. She hoped he would not follow her here and then after a while, she would go home and stay at her house for the rest of the night and think of a plan for possibly moving. She did not like this guy at all.

Jake simply watched as Layla walked away and sighed softly. This would be much harder than he hoped. He stayed out of her view but did continue after her.

-this post is really short because I have a sort of proposition.
What if on her way home this time shes approached by a drunk human man and Jake ends up saving her from the man or something? Just an idea-

Layla looked around after a while and did not see him so she walked towards her home. She saw a man staggering towards her and she picked up speed but he caught up with her and smiled. "Hey pretty girl. Why don't we go back to my place and watch a movie. We could watch dawn of 500 horses. It is really good." He said puting an arm around her shoulder. Layla tried to get away but he caught back up to her and walked with her. "Please go away. I really don't want to go to your house... ever." She said. The man looked at her. "Awe come on. It will be great! I will even make popcorn." He said genuinely. Layla looked for an ecape route. He was stronger than her.
