one walked in with five others from his clan trailing behind, he was still grieving the loss of emberfoot and was not planning on attending this gathering. but darkheart had managed to convince him that it was a good idea to come to the gathering and keep his mind off things. he glanced behind him at smokefur, another thing he wanted to leave behind at camp, but he didn't want to appear odd that they didn't bring their medicine cat, and darkheart promised to keep a close eye on him.

darkheart was walking alongside smokefur, there was a spark of joy in his eyes since he was tasked with the job of watching the medicine cat. "you're lucky one allowed you to come tonight. don't try and mess things up." he muttered.

Looking at the other cat who decided to join them. They definitely seemed to be having a better time than she has been lately. The thought loomed in her mind as she listened to the other two talk.

Blinking at the tom in front of her surprised he was concerned about her. She thought she was hiding it better than she truly was. "Uh, um yeah kinda I guess. The leader of my clan has pregnant with her second litter. She was once earlier in me being deputy it just feels non stop kinda..." she told them. It felt good to get her thoughts off her chest sort of. She didn't want to make Mirestar sound like burden.

The young cat sighed as he listened to the two medicine cats speak to one another. His mind began drifting as he started to tune out their conversation. Silently quizzing himself in his mind forgetting he could go off and speak to another apprentice if he really wanted to.

A wave of memories of her last gathering came flooding into the small she-cat's mind. Smiling at the thought of the two tom's she had met. Something that she hasn't really done in a long time in a thought of cats outside her clan. Slightly hoping one or both would show up at this gathering as well and they could continue their conversation.

Padding into the gathering the small she-cat was struck with fear. Looking around at all the unfamiliar cats with a pang hitting her heart wishing Antflare could've come along as well. He truly was the cat she felt most comfortable with within the whole clan. One of the only ones that had heard her speak in fact. Her eyes instinctively began scanning the clearing in search of her sister. Hoping she had come with her clan so that she could at least say she talked to someone.

Without a second thought, Parsleypaw purred as once she spotted the tomcat. Smiling at him as he greeted her "Hello Pikeleap. How could I forget you?" she mused letting out a little laugh at the end. Mostly because that's true he's been on her mind since the last gathering. The fact of how kind he is warmed her heart and she couldn't help but notice he still looked as dashing as he did last time.

Two brothers tumbled in slightly behind their clanmates and the other two siblings. Both grinning wildly as they looked at the gathering of cats in front of them. Glad to finally be able to come to one after their brother Oreganopaw has gotten to come to them since his apprenticeship really. They breezed past their sister who was talking to a warrior age tomcat.

Dillpaw really didn't pay attention to that fact instead breezed over to who he assumed were fellow apprentices. Granted this caused him to tumble straight into a ginger she-cat, on accident. Quicking he got up shaking himself off and looked at the cat in front of him "Gosh I'm sorry! I really need to learn to be more attentive to my surroundings..." he murmured as he looked down at his paws. He had always been the more clumsy and easily distracted of his four siblings. Constantly causing him to get lost in thoughts and ignoring his surroundings. "My name is Dillpaw." he said giving an awkward apologetic smile to the cat.

Being the overprotective brother he was he took a moment to analyze the cat his sister was speaking with. Of course, before she angrily flicked her tail at him. So he rushed off to what he assumed were other apprentices. Spotting an interesting looking cat in which he felt drawn too. So he padded up to them "Hello there my name is Cilantropaw. I'm from Sloughclan. How are you?" he asked the cat giving them a soft smile.

This time, the leader pushed through the crowd with her head held high. No more hiding; no more uncertainty. After the disaster otherwise known as her first Gathering, she was determined not to make that same mistake again. Silverstar settled down with a confident smile. She could do this.

The black-furred Tempest stalked around, not bothering to pay attention to the movements of his leader. Frankly, the molly was hopeless.

As he scanned the clearing for any assertive felines, his gaze settled on a tomcat with fur a similar shade to his own. Aldernight's own eyes glinted upon hearing the stranger's muttered words, and he approached the feline arrogantly.

"You seem to enjoy speaking down upon your clanmates," the Tempest greeted. "Though I cannot say that mine deserve any better."

The young tomcat bounded through the sea of felines, his ears pulled slightly back in nervousness. It was his first Gathering and his efflux had immediately disappeared... unsurprisingly. Banjaxpaw despised Aldernight. The starcursed tom brought bad luck wherever he went regardless of rank and supposed importance.

In his momentary distraction, the torrent nearly walked into another cat. "Er, hi..." Banjaxpaw greeted uncertainly. Then, he recalled his manners. "Right. I'm Banjaxpaw. Who are you?"

glimpsebark struggled to answer that question. briarstar had said to never reveal anything that might make the clan look weak. how was she supposed to be truthful with rustleg when the only thing to tell her was that there was some serious tension picking up between a few cats?? no, that wouldn’t do.. she decided to tell the truth, “the deputy of our clan.. frosteyes,” she glanced around and gestured to him, “and I.. we had to break up a fight. there were no injuries but..” she blinked at rustleg, “have you ever dealt with something like that?”

scorchcry was unnerved and excited at the big gathering of cats. there was also a fear mixed into there somewhere, as the last time she had been to a gathering this large ended in disaster. that’s what had made her brother so cold and hardened. she wondered why he wasn’t here today. briarstar probably hadn’t invited him. he definitely would have made a fool of the clan, scorchcry decided.
she walked over to a cat - he seemed mad - and then mewed, “hello.”

Clearly the cat before her was a very outgoing and friendly cat, not even phased by her cold demeaner. "Well... I mean our mother gives us the first part of our name. As for our second it is normally given to us by our leader. However there are times when one requests a specific name in honor of some cat else. For instance we had a Spidersight in our clan. He ended up recuing a young apprentice. However he never did get to see that apprentice go any father in life as he lost his life. Thus the apprentice requested his name to be Spider in honor of Spidersight." Websnout explained. "Does that make sense?" She asked.

Upon hearing that Parsleypaw remember who he was, the young warrior couldn't help but let out a happy purr. "It's good to see you again. Tell me how have you been?" Sure he could be off meeting other new cats, however Parsleypaw had peaked his interest last time and thus Pikeleap couldn't help but want to know more about her.

At the mention of kits, Emberspark slightly shuttered. "Oh gosh... I remember this one New-leaf when HazeClan had a kitten boom... We had like 20 queens at once... And one of them was one of our medicine cats!" the ginger tabby molly explained. "Of course that was over 20 moons ago." She added, chuckling softly. Sure the older she-cat enjoyed kits, but she never did think of having any of her own. Adopting wasn't totally out of the question either. However if any cat asked Emberspark was completely comfortable with how her life was now, of course with the added friendship she had gained with Wolfwhiskers.

Upon hearing the tom introduce himself and the bird companion with him Lycan tilted her head once more. "I'm Lycan.... Say... why do you have a bird?" She asked curiously. "I mean we are cats.... Cats eat birds." Lycan stated. It was strange to see another cat being so friendly with a bird, even giving it a name. However no cat would dare harm the little bird at a gathering, especially if it was with a cat.

"there's a lot of grass! we only have a couple of trees, but we have a lot of flowers too. too many flowers, they make me sneeze in newleaf." he squinted. "there's a lake where all the ducks are, but you're going to have to ask flaxpaw about the ducks. he's our duck expert." he smiled, knowing that flaxpaw would be delighted to be called the duck expert. then he thought more about the ducks, and added, "i think we hold the ducks sacred as well? or maybe they're our friends. we're definitely careful about the flowers though." miragewater lowered his voice. "duckstar insists that flowers are our dead loved ones from lostclans. she talks to them sometimes."

the deputy hummed. "i can understand that. my leader hasn't had kits yet, but i can understand how stressful that would be."

houndtooth watched as another, happy-looking tom bounce into the crowd. the deputy radiated positivity, and in a way it made houndtooth jealous. he was the resident grouch in breezeclan, but sometimes he wished he could be joyful incessantly. "my my, someone's in a good mood!" he purred good-naturedly "what clan are you from?"

the abrupt question made the tom flatten his ears. his brow furrowed as he tried to rack his brain for where he had heard that name before. suddenly, everything clicked. "y-yes, why, yes i do actually." he grinned "batfur used to tell us stories as kits about his time in elmclan and the journey to bearclan. at the time, quailthroat, his mate, was pregnant with my mother! elmstar is their daughter. she's our leader and she adopted me when i was just a kit! how do you know about them?"

pumpkinseed let out a rare purr. "it's nice talking to another medicine cat." he meowed "i'm the only one in bearclan. i suppose no one wants to train under me."
