It's cute, and Snickersnee is quickly finding himself endeared to him.

paraHuffing a small laugh, Shadowmist offers her a small smile. "It's fine, I understand the sentiment." She admits, nose twitching as she thinks again about her idiot brother that rushed off on his own. Head tilting, she asks with a small hum "what's SloughClan like? I don't think I've heard of it." It doesn't sound familiar, like a neighbouring Clan or even one that her Clanmates have relationships in. It has an interesting name, though.

Rookstar nodded at the description of the court’s location. “It sound’s like a lovely place,” he purred, flicking his ears. Rookstar could barely remember the last time a leafbare wasn’t hard on the Clan, but he also had no recollection of the Clan ever struggling. They were strong. Every Clan was strong and could overcome anything.

"ChessClan is rather unique, but then again, all Clans are unique. I've not yet found two Clans so similar that I could not tell them apart," she meowed, being able to easily pack apart each Clan in her mind for their unique qualities. "I know apprentices are always so excited to come and see strange cats, but I believe this is a valuable experience. It teaches them that there are other customs than the ones they are used to, and that they need to respect that," she meowed, noting down a few young warriors and apprentices that were due to come to a Gathering.

Richterscreech dipped his head in a nod, smiling at River's acceptance of his idea. "I'd keep an eye out on what cats seem to be getting close. You can usually guess which she-cat is going to be the next to announce she's pregnant," he chuckled, knowing that he was always able to tell when a young molly was getting closer with another cat, typically ending with her announcing her move to the nursery within a few moons. It was always so obvious, and also because Wolfwhiskers would always tell him when he told a she-cat that she was pregnant. Little cheats every now and then were allowed, Richterscreech thought.

Wolfwhiskers shook his head as he tried to scent for more prey, almost missing that Emberspark was staring at the stars. "They're really up there, you know," he rumbled, still sniffing and listening for a small rodent. "They talk to me so much that I find them slightly annoying. Never thought I'd call my own ancestors annoying," he chuckled, watching Emberspark out of the corner of his eye so as not to arouse suspicion. He didn't want her to know he was staring at her, so he kept up the ruse of searching for prey. Strangely, he spotted a mouse nibbling on a seed. It was almost too easy, and he set the prey before her. "Thank you ÉtoileClan for this meal," he whispered.

Faonpaw pinned her ears back in horror as Avocetpaw asked if she was selfish. “No, it’s not at all! In some Clans, StarClan doesn’t even speak to the medicine cats. Some medicine cats want to heal and leave the dealing with the ancestors to their others. Other medicine cats just don’t have the connection, but they’re just as valuable. If StarClan saw a need to speak to you, they would. Perhaps your path lies more heavily in the healing than the dreams. Only time will tell, but you are far from selfish. No medicine cat who gives up the glory pf battle to heal will ever be selfish,” she meowed, hoping to drive her point home strongly. She’d never thought a cat who gave up so much would ever believe they were selfish.

Sopranocavern's heart sank as Sorrelfang's description of things in HazeClan came out more negatively than she expected. As Riddleripple promised that their Clan would recover, she shivered as the memories of Quickcough and Aspstar's hysterical meltdown flashed through her mind. "He's a young tom, it's really me who needs the stretch," she chuckled, stretching out her limbs and leading the stroll. "Things in ChessClan are still recovering after our ancestors punished us with a terrible disease that took almost all of our clanmates. I didn't lose any cat dear to me, thank ÉtoileClan, but many cats did. We've been almost a full season cycle since then, but tragedy struck recently. Violindapple was in a terrible accident and unfortunately passed away. We're still coping with that, but the Clan is full of lively young kits," she chuckled as she padded along, trying to lighten the mood after two terribly sad stories.

Oiseaupaw's heart sank as HazeClan's struggles, and he began to stretch his legs awkwardly. When Riddleripple suggested the walk, he nodded eagerly. Her listened as his mother explained the past moons in ChessClan, and he remembered his faint memories of Quickcough. He'd been so young then, and he could barely remember anything, but he knew his mother had been thoroughly terrified that he would come down with the disease. "It's been nice recently, and Violindapple was such a good mentor to me. I don't doubt that harsh times will befall the Clan eventually," he snorted, knowing that no Clan could ever be peaceful for very long.

"So they're pions!" he exclaimed, remembering how Rookstar had told him that other Clans had different names for ranks. It was a talk all cats got before going to their first Gathering, and Acaiheart had forgotten it so quickly. He shook his head to clear away his clouded thoughts, looking up with a sheepish grin. "I'm really sorry for such a stupid question. I'm still kind of in shock of how blunt I was earlier," he chuckled, trying to find an excuse to cover up how ignorant he really could be.

Aloèsdance nearly questioned a strange wording of Damascus's sentence, but she thought better of it. She shook her pelt out and watched him with a smile. She'd never been a small cat, always towering over those around her, and it was nice to meet a cat roughly her size. As he talked about a strange difficult assessment, she chuckled. "I have no clue what Driseog is, but it sounds rather scary," she meowed, hoping it wasn't a cat's name. She'd never forgive herself if she had just insulted a strange cat just based on their name.

Crécerelleflight nodded as she described the territory she came from, and her giggle was like music to his ears. “I’d definitely end up stuck more often than not. I can barely make it through my own territory without getting lost,” he chuckled, remembering the many search parties that had found him wandering aimlessly in a strange portion of the territory. With a shrug, he flashed a smile at Morasspounce and purred, trying to hide how nervous he really was. As the new tom approached, he smiled brightly. When the tom tried to say it was alright if they didn't want him to join them, Crécerelleflight patted ground with his paw. "It's perfectly fine with me! My name's Crécerelleflight," he introduced himself, feeling strangely at home around this tom in a way he hadn't felt since Soleilstripes.

Moosestar could have laughed at how uncomfortable the tom was. When he finally admitted he wasn’t too large of a fan of the crowd, she let out a chuckle. “Welcome to my world,” she sighed, her ears twitching as she tried to block out the sounds of the conversations that swirled around her. “Crowds have always made me uncomfortable. I much prefer private conversations,” she meowed, trying to keep the flirty tone out of her voice. She’d gotten so used to trying to charm every cat around her that not doing it was a struggle.

Oystersnap just chuckled. "You are perfectly fine. As for how I've been doing, I've been doing fine. My Clan hasn't run into any troubles, and there are plenty of younger cats to get under my paws. How about you?" he meowed, finally letting his fur lie flat. He hadn't done that in a long time, considering how cold his territory was even in Greenleaf, and it felt strange to him. He remembered how often Tuskpaw, Blubberpaw, Flipperpaw, and Vibrissaepaw had bothered him while they were kits, but he loved the four orphans dearly. He'd become something of a father to them, and he missed them dearly. He couldn't wait to share his stories of the Gathering with them when he returned home.

Salixflutter’s smile faltered as she was asked if there were many flowers. “No, my Clan’s territory is essentially a barren wasteland. Any time I find flowers that aren’t an herb, I pick them and line my nest with them. They are so beautiful,” she sighed, her eyes finding the closest wildflower. She felt Lychnissting wrap his tail around her, and she leaned into her brother in the way she always had. She loved flowers, and she always wished more grew in the territory.

Lychnissting could hear the sorrow in Salixflutter’s voice as she talked about flowers, and he wrapped his tail around her in a comforting fashion. “There sure is plenty of wind, with such a treeless territory. The ground is covered with snow for most of the year, and the ground still is quite frozen even if it’s not. It’s a very bleak place to live, but it’s home. I’ll never be able to go to sleep without the sound of the ice crunching and colliding being played as a lullaby outside the camp,” he sighed.

Looking at Silverstar she smiled "Don't worry it's about being yourself and showing that you deserve the position Starclan has granted you." she purred to the fellow she-cat. Smiling she nodded too Blizzardpaw "Nice to meet you all." she said slightly relieved she wasn't the only leader with her kit here as well. Looking over at the huddle of medicine cats she smiles seeing her son taking with another cat. "Over there," she said nodding to the squished face tabby apprentice ", that is one of my son's. Oreganopaw, he is currently studying under our clan's Medicine Cat." she mused smiling proudly at her son. After all, he asked feverishly to become the medicine cat apprentice.

Looking at her apprentice she sighed knowing he was nervous. She really didn't know what to do to help other than nudging him slightly. Chuckling he smiled at her nodding in agreement "Trust me my mentor Poppypool has forced me to do so sometimes." he told her. Laughing once more at the fact that a much older cat than him needed to remind him to have a little fun rather than study all day and night. The calico was persistent that there can not be any work without having a little fun. It made studying with her rather fun for him.

Laughing once more at his comment she smiled at him. Which was overall rare for her to do outside of the clan due to her having her guard up. With this tom though for some reason that melted away quickly "What's your territory like?" she mused curiously now. Once she was used to Sloughclan's layout she memorized it as it was going to be her home. Then once again another tom walked up to the two while they conversed. Looking at him his appearance caught her eye he was quite eye-catching, to say the least. "Hello there, Keylime, I'm Morasspounce." she said then looked at Crécerelleflight giving him a soft smile. Oddly feeling comforted to be around the two tomcats, something that rarely came to her and was strange since they were practically complete strangers.

Sighing she knew once the gathering was over she should apologize to Cocoagleam for being so irritated knowing he most likely felt bad for making them late. We live in a rather large territory of forest and marshland." she informed Shadowmist.

This time the tom let his chuckle out at what the she-cat in front of him said. Knowing all too well that even if they were murders right now wouldn't be the time or place. Though neither of them appeared to be like that at all to him. Not fully paying attention to whatever the tom was saying but nodded once he finished. Then of course Parsleypaw had to speak once again "Mirestar really is an amazing leader to have. Treating most of the clan like they are her own kits." he said with a slight laugh of joy at the end. As a smile spread across his face.

Rolling her eyes at Websnouts comment knowing all that her mother and mentor told her about the gatherings. Her eyes held wonder as Pikeleap spoke of his clan. Though the other clans he said she was never told about before by her mother. Which didn't surprise her a ton as her mother said there was no way to know every clan out there. "Sloughclan got our name similar granted Starclan named the leader Sloughstar after the color of his pelt and eyes. Then the clan choice to name themselves after him. Ironically my mother Mirestar's name means something similar." she purred proudly as to state herself as the current leader's daughter.

The leader let out a slight dry laugh trying to appear happy "Even taken in two kits, but that's about it for us. My Duke, uh deputy is expecting a litter with his mate currently though." she mused. Honestly excited for her friends just disappointed to have not found someone to start a family with yet. Sometimes she believed it could be due to the fact her queenly duties drained her. So she felt she didn't have time, but she knew she would make time if it came.

Relief flooded over him and a slight sense of pride about how his own kit was doing. Then a pang of guilt hit him at the mention of her wanting to know about her littermate. Though she was safe and thriving in the court she doesn't know really much of where she came from. It was to save face for him seeing as he knew many previous leaders forbid prophet's to have kits. Even though he never thought to ask Bluebellcrown he assumed she believed the same "Tarbagankit is doing fine, Violethaze has done fantastic in raising her. I wouldn't expect any less from her after all she raised Bluebellcrown herself." he told the tom in front of him. "Well Viridian Court doesn't use the same rankings as most other clans. Like me, I'm not a medicine cat but a prophet. Our leader is either a king or queen, the deputy is a duke or dutchess. Though a deputy doesn't necessarily become the next king or queen for the Celestial Amita picks that along with the prophet and margroves." he said then noticed he was rambling "Sorry if that was too much information." he said giving him a sheepish smile.

Grateful that Bluebellcrown allowed her to join along once more; as the leader could tell she must have taken interest in a particular cat. It is true she wanted to see Barkbrush once again the cat who caught her interest. Though this time she planned not to bump into them like she had the previous times. Searching in the sea of cats for the familiar face of the cat. Praying to Starclan that his clan picked to appear at this gathering. Once she spotted them her belly filled with butterflies and her heart began to race. A grin appearing on her face as she rushed up to them "Hello there stranger." she unknowingly purred to them shocking herself once she had.

duckstar nodded, remembering how nasty the apprentices and some warriors in lostclan could be to outsiders, especially to rogues and kittypets they would encounter on patrol. "i agree that it's important that we can be open-minded about each others' customs. if all of us respected one another more, we might not have to fight so often." she hoped there wouldn't be any battles for duckclan any time soon. she wasn't sure if her still small and still young clan would be able to survive it. lostclan certainly didn't survive. her whiskers twitched nervously.

"yeah, i'd love to visit!" he didn't know what most of those animals were, but it sounded interesting enough that he wanted to see them. "duckstar says that our ancestors become flowers and that she can speak to them sometimes. i'm not sure about that, but i try not to step on flowers anymore." now that he stopped talking about ducks, he was a lot calmer, though his tail was still wagging and he was attentive as ever. "but there are a lot of flowers and i'm pretty sure i've crushed at least one... we can't have that many ancestors, can we?"

The ginger-furred leader of SeaClan smiled at Bluebellcrown's words and mewed, "That sounds lovely, ma'am. I am glad that your Clan is doing well." Hoping to continue the conversation longer, he asked, changing the subject a little, "I have not met any of your cats before in previous Gatherings... are you perhaps from a newer Clan?"

"Well," Thistletuft allowed, backing off a little at his father's words, "it has been... many moons since we last spoke, you are correct." Hollyspots sighed, "Sorry if we hurt your feelings, then. I was a bit disappointed back there." Dappledawn was immediately at Vinescratch's side, sniffing at the scar he bore, fretting, "Didn't your medicine cat look over this? Could have prevented it from scarring if they gave it a bit more thought..." she glanced back at her littermates and gave a warning glance, as to say 'don't escalarate this'. Thistletuft and Hollyspots rolled their eyes at the calico, but did not say anything else.

Avocetpaw looked at the older apprentice with a look of relief as she let out a sigh of relief. Bramblingpaw meowed, awe on her face, "Faonpaw, you have the answers to like, everything, gosh." It was a few moments before the torbie asked, "Oh, oh, so silly of me, forgot to ask. How's things in ChessClan?"

It had been a long time since Nightwing had attended a Gathering. And did she have news to tell to old friends if she met them! Swiftstep, now Duskwing, had come to SeaClan and was reunited with her. Her memories of AdderClan - both good and bad - came back to her as she reminisced about the old times, allowing her mate Oakshadow and Duskwing's mother-in-law Paintedfur, to lead her through the crowd of cats gathered that night. She had been lost in thought so much that she missed all but the tail end of Paintedfur's question: "-what do you think?" "Huh?" The black she-cat asked, turning her attention fully to the calico, "sorry, I wasn't paying attention." Paintedfur repeated patiently, "Don't you think it's a lovely night tonight?" "Absolutely," Nightwing replied, looking up at the sky, "made even better by the fact that my long-lost daughter has come back, having started her own family, and I get to share the news tonight." Oakshadow, Nightwing's mate, interrupted good-naturedly, "Come on, let's pick up the pace, we should look for Paintedfur's old Clanmates in this crowd, and we can all tell them the family is safe together."

The black tom almost snuck up on them. To be fair, the younger tom could have been just trying to come to offer greetings, with no intent to scare, but Fritillarytail was no young cat anymore. She let out a startled yowl and leaped back, only to see that the foreign cat had meant no harm. Hailcloud, on the other hand, had seen him, and was patiently waiting for his mate to rejoin him.

Fritillarytail apologized, "Apologies, I'm not getting any younger, and the darkness seemed to shroud you until you stepped out into the moonlight." Hailcloud affectionately licked his mate on her cheek before meowing, "I am Hailcloud, and this is my mate, Fritillarytail. We are senior warriors of SeaClan. Pleased to meet you." After a moment, the gray-and-white tom replied to the younger tom's question with a slight frown on his face, "Apologies, but I don't think we have met before, no."

Blizzardpaw listened intently as the older cats chatted about their own clans. She felt pride as Jasminestar spoke of Shore. She couldn't imagine living in any other clan, let alone out as a loner. She kept quiet, remembering what her mother talked of manners at gatherings.

Scorchfur smiled at hearing his partnering Head and apprentice. "I'm currently training Featherpaw, she's very close to taking her assessment. I know she'll pass." At the mention of Mistpaw, he felt a pit in his stomach thinking of the great tom. However, he needed to move on. "I'm sure you've seen my son Lakedream around, he shows up to every gathering. This is his first he hasn't shown up to, he's actually infatuated with Aspenfur's foster daughter Jeweleyes. And my older daughter Olivegaze recently had kits, Oceankit, Seakit, and Lagoonkit. It makes me excited to see them growing up. Surprisingly, they all have such short legs! I really miss having my own little kits to watch over. Olivegaze and Lakedream are children to be proud of, but I miss the times they were always looking to me to fix their problems and fears." He sighed, thinking of his two children.

Hawkpaw liked hearing about Mumpaw's family. He couldn't really imagine having half of your family somewhere else. He's used to almost all his family living with him, even in the same den. "I have another... brother, named Lynxpaw. He was supposed to be... Heir. But now he's just a... Guardian like me." He told her. "Do you miss your... siblings in Pineclan? I know I have two cousins in... Nyxclan named Toastkit and Aloekit, but I don't really even know them." He signed with his small paws. He knew whenever he left the gatherings, he found himself missing Mumpaw. However, he never really thought about Toastkit and Aloekit much let alone missed them. He wondered how those two felt, now feeling bad about whining how he's forgotten within his family.
