"Thanks, I'll sign up. It'll be good to get Conquistador back onto the circuit again" he said, while standing up. "Uh.. I'll see you around Evah, I'm going to find Amaris" he said, grabbing the drink Amaris had thrown down, then turning and walking towards the door. Julliard tried to recall the exact way towards Amaris's room as he walked down the long hall way. Taking a right he found one door ajar and could see the figure of the woman he had been searching for sitting on the bed. Walking forward he gave a slight knock, bushing it open a bit more. He half expected to get a snap to leave her be, but thought it was worth a shot.

Amaris was propped up on her bed, the notebook seculry beneath her head as she furiously wrote down some notes. At the gentle knock, her attention was averted for her to gaze at the door. It was Julliard. Amaris had taken a swig of beer, prompting her to release the desire to roll her eyes at him. He had acted unexpectedly rude, but wasn't seeking an apology. She popped some candy into her mouth, just watching him. "Are you coming in or not?" She asked, her eyebrow raised impatiently. "Oh btw, I'm sure Evah can help you ready Connie for the show." She said, quickly dismissing any resentment towards not competing.

Julliard pushed the door open, when she recognized his presence. He walked in silently over towards where she was laying on the bed, writing down in her book. He sat down beside, noting that she was drinking yet again. "I'm not worried about shaping Connie back up. It's not going to take much to get him back to his competitive self" Julliard said, eyes drifting over to where she was still scribbling down. "Besides shes helping you with King, and I don't want to stop her from that" he added, letting out a slow sigh and leaning his head back against the white wall behind him.

Her blue gaze flickered back over to him. Her annoyance returned quickly. "Thats not an excuse. Nor is Evah an excuse." She said. "You should be working in the competition, I have other things to worry about as well," She said her gaze drifting back. ((Perhaps they begin having a deeper conversation?)) "Your mother would be urging you to get on that saddle as soon as possible, it's not like she became olympic over night," She muttered, her voice softer but loud enough for him to intinetially hear her.

He listened to her speak, noting the slight drop in volume as well as the slight annoyance that developed. His own eyes turned towards the ceiling and he let silence fall for a second before going, "No, it took her five long years to become the gold medalist she was...is. She taught me working hard is the only way to get somewhere. Not fancy handouts due to social status or appearance" he said. "But she also taught me that friends and family are also important and you should never leave them when somethings going on" he said slightly turning his dark eyes towards Amaris, analyzing her. Based on the way she was holding herself, the drinking, and the sudden annoyances, the desire to push him away and omission of information, he knew something was bothering her. "What's wrong Amaris?" he said his eyes looking for hers hoping for some answer.

maybe he finally asks what's wrong? also i want to change the time of the day, just pushing it to nightfall. but that should not affect the role-play.))

Amaris' blue eyes flickered to him for a moment. They rested on him at his gentle question. Amaris felt reluctant to respond, she wanted to hurl her book at him. Which actually was exactly what she did. It narrowly missed him and hurled into the shelf on the wall. Many objects fell, several photos, photos that were not on public display. What was revealed was a box full of burned items, many of them being equestrian related. A charm, a burned bridle and reigns, a shirt too and gloves. A photo fell down too, of Amaris riding Rival in her paddock, bearback smiling so happily. She took an aggressive gulp of her alcoholic beverage and growled. "You can't keep your competitive nose out of anything, can you?" She glared at him with distant hate in her eyes.

((Perhaps they can end up yelling at each other until she's left crying and letting him in to her trust?))
