Rachel couldn't help but put off Jackie's worries. She tended to be an over protective friend, which Rachel didn't mind and often found sweet, but she also knew how to make her own decisions. Even if D'Andre was a player, he also seemed like a gentlemen in the few minutes that she did talk to him. Speaking of the devil, her phone vibrated with a notification that he had posted. She grinned, expecting it to be about the Saints win, but instead, it was a cropped photo of the conversation Jackie and D'Andre had about Rachel.
"Jokes on you Jackie, he just exposed you. Never use a guys full name , it throws them for a loop." She figured there wasn't a better time to hit him up since he had just posted something that had to do about her. She hit the message button and typed something up, deleting it and rewording it a couple of times.

"We seem to be a hot topic right now, Huh? Regret buying me a drink yet?"

She added the winky emoji at the end to keep the conversation lighthearted and still slightly flirtatious.

Well, that was quick. He had answered a few comments that were left on his post and then suddenly another notif popped up, which indicated someone slid into his DM's. He knew the comments were gonna keep coming, so he slid out of the comment section and over to his DM's, seeing one he hadn't answered at the top. It looked like it came from... Rachel?! He then remembered she followed him just about everywhere for some reason, but it did make sense following the game earlier that day. After opening up the message, he read it and had a slight laugh about it. He then thought up a response, mentally revising it before putting it to phone.

dandre_bennett What, we trending somewhere? I mean, I haven't heard too much except from one of the homies.(laughing emoji) and also, who else was I gonna buy a drink for? Ant?

He hit send and then went back, finding a few other unopened DM's from some other girls but didn't say anything to them. As figured, his comment section was still going.

Rachel had set her phone down for a moment while she played around with Jackie and pulled out a cold beer from the fridge. She had just turned twenty one a few months back, but she had only started drinking a few beers here and there at Jackie's request so she could get her alcohol tolerance up, which man't they could start going to clubs together and get plastered. (Responsibly of course) As she cracked opened a beer for her and Jackie, her phone vibrated on the kitchen counter. A slight smirk came to her lips, secretly hoping it was D'Andre. She walked over and picked up her phone, flipping it over so the screen was facing up and she could read the notification that said D'Andre had in fact dmed her back. She quickly replied with,

"I wouldn't be surprised if we had a hashtag. Jackie's giving me crap for letting you buy me a drink."

She looked over at Jackie when she wrote the last part, but she seemed to engrossed in her beer and phone to notice she was messaging the guy she had warned her about.

When Rachel gave notice of how they may have something trending about them, this caught D'Andre's curiosity. Naturally, he went to go peek on Jackie's social media pages to see if there was indeed any news about him and Rachel at the game. He hadn't seen anything... yet, but then his phone started going off again. This time, it came from Twitter, so he switched over and looked through his notifs. His mentions were starting to blow up. Not sure what happened, but apparently someone snuck a pic of the two together at the stadium bar. He wasn't sure if it was from a guy or a girl, but he was definitely tagged in the pic. He went through some of the replies, with a lot of the guys chiming in about how he dishes dimes on the court and pulls them off the court, while there several girls chiming in about how they were either jealous of her because they wanted him for themselves or how they looked like a cute couple. He laughed and took a screenshot of some of the tweets before going back to Instagram. He went back to the DM conversation they were holding and attached the pic to a message, hitting the send button.

He hit send, laughing all the same because he was not expecting this at all. He then went back to his kitchen and poured a shot of bourbon, downing it, toasting it as a victory for the Saints.

The small "seen" came up below her message and she frowned slightly when the typing notification didn't come up. She tried not to be disappointed or clingy, but she couldn't deny the fact she enjoyed talking to him. Then her twitter started blowing up with comments and a notification that said she had been tagged in something. She grinned, clicked the notification and it brought her to a picture that was very familiar. It was a picture of her leaning on the bar and him doing the same, smirks on both of their faces. Just as she was about to tag D'Andre in it, her eyes caught the comments. There was a decent amount of girls who were jealous and the other half were freaking out because they thought they were dating. There was also a lot of guys giving D'Andre props for landing a chick. She bursted out laughing, gaining a side eye look from Jackie. Jackie suddenly found the picture herself and started laughing as well. Rachel quickly got out of the twitter app and back onto the Instagram app where his message suddenly popped up.

"I see you have found the picture as well. We really must be hot stuff if we already have paparazzi. I don't think we can ever be seen with each other again or else we might break the internet."

She was teasing him of course because she herself would love to see him again sometime soon, just maybe in a place with less cameras ready to catch their every move and to be posted on twitter.

Once D'Andre downed the shot, he was trying to figure out what to do that night. Of course, New Orleans always had something to do. Who knows? Maybe Rachel wanted to get to know him better...? It couldn't hurt to ask.

He hit send before he realized he indirectly called her hot. Hey, too late now, but not like he had anything to hide. She is a good-looking girl, after all.

Rachel walked over to the couch and pulled out her books and laptop. She really did have to work on something for school, a paper she had to hand in that was worth 25% of her grade. It wasn't due until two weeks, but she always liked to be on top of things so she could spend the rest of her time having fun. Speaking of which, her phone vibrated again, indicating a reply from the hottie that bought her a drink.She looked at the message and her eyebrows raised in curiosity. Did he just call her hot?

"You sneaky little thing, I caught that compliment. Thank you, but lets be real, you are the hot one here. And lets be honest, you'll be as good as Kobe in a few years."

She decided to flatter him as well, hoping she didn't come off as cheesy comparing him to a NBA super star.

D'Andre went back to the living room and started flipping through channels, trying to figure out what to watch when his phone went off again. He didn't have her phone number, but he knew it was Rachel again. Their conversation was starting to pick up steam, but it's not like anyone else knew what was going down. He read it and chuckled slightly as she paid him two huge compliments. Apparently the feeling was reciprocated and she told him he'd be as good as Kobe soon. Uh... what? Hell of a compliment from her.

dandre_bennett Of course I'm the hot one here. 😂😏 but you aight too tho... and Kobe? I feel like he could still take me post-2011. 😂😅

He decided to have a little fun with her and kind of downplay what he meant earlier, but in all seriousness, she was seriously one of the most beautiful women he had met thus far. While the thought lingered in his mind, he went back to flipping channels again.

Rachel opened one her books to a marked page and opened a word document, typing the first few sentences of her introduction when her phone buzzed again. Jackie gave her a smirk, rolling her eye sarcastically as she left the room to do whatever Jackie does in the evening. Rachel contemplated shutting her phone off and not looking at the text until she was done with her work, which was the most responsible thing to do, but she couldn't resist answering, or at least checking. She slid her phone opened and looked at the text, smiling and blushing at the compliment. It was subtle, and in a teasing manner, her favorite kind. She typed up a reply, thinking about one for a few seconds.

"I try my best to look, as you say, ight, but I think you'd have to see me on one of my better days because I can look smokin'. With a little bit of practice, and a whole lotta praying, I'm sure you could be as good as Kobe. Give it time."

D'Andre's phone went off again and he knew it had to be one person: Rachel. At this point, he decided to give her a follow back. After all, it'd seem rude not to, especially with their little DMs back and forth at this point. Apparently she said she could look smoking on a good day? This he had to see for himself. Sure, if she constantly had their conversation open, she'd be seeing that he read it but hadn't responded yet. It was unintentional, but he had to see the proof from her last message for himself. Sure enough, once he saw a good picture of her, he tapped the "like" button and then left a comment:

It was really good proof to him... then he saw another pic in particular. It was one of his old Snapchat pics... dog filter. Curiosity got the best of him and he clicked on it. Apparently it was an old #mcm post featuring him from his rookie season. He gave it a like and posted a comment under that one as well:

After posting that one, he went back to the DM conversation, where he sent her a new response.
