Damon hugged her, he swallowed hard and called James to see what his options were with work, he was scared he'd get fired if he was gone too long.

Molly hugged him back. She was so worried about him and was really not sure what to do to help him. James answered his cell that Damon had called him on but he was also talking on another phone. "Yes I will get right on that for you sir. No problem." He said and hung up the other phone. "Hello this is James." He said clearly having not looked at the caller id. He worked on some stuff while he talked. He put Damon on speaker phone.

Damon exhaled, "Hello, sir, sorry to call and bother you, but do I have health insurance or anything?" he asked, trying to keep his voice calm even though he was ready to cry and worried about his and his family's future.

"You do but it is not set up yet. It would cover your whole family. I know a few loopholes though if you need it to be in effect today. I am a lawyer after all. What is going on?" James asked him looking for the papers he needed.

Molly looked at him. She really hoped that it would all work out for them.

Damon sighed, "I apparently broke my kneecap, and they are recommending surgery, and I just, I don't really know what to do, or how much time I can take off, if any?" he asked James.

James sighed. "That is not good. Well, you have two weeks of paid vacation time that you can use plus since it was a work related injury, you can get workers compensation so that you won't sue the law firm for it and if someone specific is found to be at fault and it was on purpose, they could be fired. With that, you can receive up to five weeks at 75% of your salary plus an additional one thousand as long as you sign the disclaimer saying that you will not sue us for your injuries, If you do sue, it will be taken to court and they will have the paperwork saying that you can't. You have to sign it before you go into surgery if you chose to do so. I can bring it up to you." He said to him.

Molly waited to see what would be said.

"That sounds good, better then I thought." Damon said, "Could you bring it in then? If you aren't too busy?" he asked. He was so stressed about this all, he had at least two weeks though at full pay.

"Okay. I will be down there as soon as I can. I have to find it unless you happen to know what box the bright red folder that had emergency on the front cover is." He said and looked through the boxes.

"Yes, right by your door is a box labelled employee folders and important info." Damon told him, "Thank you so much for this James, really, it means a lot to me."

"Alright perfect. I will get it and fill out some stuff and also get the loophole started for your insurance and be there as soon as I can." James said. "See you soon." He said and hung up and got to work on it. Molly looked at Damon. "What did you decide?" She asked.
