Damon tried to argue and stop her, but she hung up first, he sighed softly and leaned back, waiting for her to arrive. He smiled at her lightly, his knee was in a brace though, and he didn't stand up, "Well.. I broke my kneecap." he said softly as he looked at her, "And they want to do surgery..."

Molly sighed and almost visibly grew even more worried. "If that is what they have to do to get it to heal right, then you need to do it. I will cancel my trip and stay here and work and take care of you. You will have to take time off work..." Molly said looking at him.

Damon looked at her, "No, be please love, I will be okay, please go, I will be fine, I can use crutches and I will still work. Please Molly." he said softly as he looked at her. He knew he was messing things up again, once more he was screwing things up.

Molly shook her head. "Damon. You will not be working for at least a couple of days. Do not even think for a moment that I will let you because you are wrong. I am also not going to make our friends look after you while I am gone so I will just talk to Mark. I am sure he will understand that things happen sometimes." She said.

Damon silently bowed his head, he's messed up again, what he didn't know though, was he had been tripped by his old boss to see if he could make Damon look bad. "Molly, I'm so sorry..." he said softly, "I... I should have been more careful, and I shouldn't have..." he shrugged weakly.

Molly shook her head. "It's okay. Accidents happen. I better go call Mark so he has time to call another caterer." She said to him. She had been excited about the trip and had even told Mark that earlier. She knew it would have been good to get away from the stress for a while but now she was thrown in with even more. "I will be right back okay love?" She asked putting her hand on his.

"Please go on the trip Molly, Lukas isn't working, I am sure he wouldn't mind, it's nothing major, you can still watch me this weekend too... Please, don't cancel this trip because of me." he said softly as he looked up at her pleadingly.

Molly looked at him and sighed. "Love, Lukas needs to rest too and there is no way that he could feed you. We both know he can't cook and Sasha is already stressed trying to take care of Lukas. I can't put more pressure on her. Also, it is pretty major if they want to do surgery to fix it. It is not that big of a deal. I am not upset at all about having to cancel on him. It is not like I wanted to be gone for that long anyway..." She lied really hoping that he could not see through it or would at least ignore it. She knew she needed to take care of him and she could not do that unless she stayed here.

Damon held her hands, "Molly, go, I will be fine, I can still take care of myself, I will be on crutches that's all, you needed this break and I am not ruining it for you." he said softly as he looked at her, "Please Molly, I am not ruining things for you, not again, please. At least wait till after we talk to the doctor?" he asked.

Molly sighed. "Fine but if he says anything that makes me need to stay, please stop blaming yourself. It was an accident." She said to him and waited for the doctor. She really hoped that he would be here soon. She put a hand on her stomach as she waited. She looked at Damon. "So how exactly did this happen?" She asked him. She figured they should talk while they waited.
