He tapped his paw. "That's probably a good idea, would you like to watch the owlets while Sun and I go look?" He asked Chell.

The three little chicks snuggled into Chell, letting out small peeps.

Brendan nodded. "Oh yeah, you're right." He picked up the two of the fuzzy hatchlings. "Can you carry the last one?"

chell picked the last one up carefully and started to wall back

Once they reached the den, he carefully set the two owlets he was carrying down inside.

chell set them down and curled around them to keep them worm

He smiled, wagging his tail as he started at the sweet sight of Chell curled up with the chicks. "I'll be back as soon as I can, you ok?"

Brendan took a deep breath, giving Chell a fond smile before rushing off. He glanced behind, seeing Sunbeam sprinting after him. He was so tired, and felt like collapsing on the floor, but had to do this. For the sake of the owlets. He came upon a low cactus, and managed to peer inside. The sight he saw caused him to gasp. There was a small snake in the little nest, about to swallow one remaining baby owl that was inside. Without hesitation Brendan stuck his paw inside, and whisked the snake out, getting a bite in the process, throwing it to the ground. He guessed there had probably been more babies in there, th at had become the snake's meal. The last one was lucky. He started at the remaining chick for a moment, suddenly realizing this was the solution to their problem. He told Sunbeam to watch the cactus, and took off back towards Chell's den. He soon arrived, panting. "Chell, I found the perfect nest!"
