He shrugged. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Maybe we should just leave them then, if that's how you feel. I don't see anything else we could do. I guess they'll die."

chell started whimpering

Brendan sighed. "Don't worry, you're right, we can't. But what do you suggest?"

chell:what if we found another best with babies in it and they had a mommy and daddy

He cocked his head, considering her suggestion. "Yeah, well, I thought about that but...but if owls have too many children, sometimes not all of them get fed, and then the weaker ones die." He admitted sadly, pushing a large rock over to the base of the cactus. "But, it's worth a shot I guess. Sunbeam, try to locate any other owl nests. Chell, get ready." He put his paws against the cactus, and reached his muzzle into the hole. Gently picking up one of the chicks and lowering it down to Chell.

She nodded quickly, scampering off to check other cacti.

He smiled, and picked up that last two, setting them carefully on the ground beside Chell and the first Baby. "Three in total."

chell:now we just need sun to find them a home

Brendan nodded. "It would be great if we could find a nest with 2 babies, so there won't be too many at one time, and each will be able to get enough food." He heard the sound of paws coming closer, and glanced back. "Ah, here she comes." As Sunbeam hastily explained about the nest she had found, he frowned.

Sunbeam scampered back quickly, gasping for breath. "I found one, but they already have four babies. Do you think the parents will be able to take care of 7 chicks in total?" She asked, sounding concerned.
