Suddenly the female's faint whisper reached his ear, and at first he thought he was dreaming. Lifting his head as her voice got louder, he frowned. Chell? In the camp? Oh no! Brendan thought, hurrying to his feet. He stepped outside the den, seeing exactly who he had expected. "Chell, what are you doing here?"

chell:brendan...we have a problem...sunny caught the mommy owl on accident and now the babys have no one to take care of them and i dont want them to die!

His ears perked up, and instantly he felt more awake. "Ok, shhh. We'll take care of this, but be quiet." He looked around cautiously. "I'm coming, let's get moving."

Brendan nodded silently, inching across the ground. When he passed the bush, be was a bit startled as the fennec fox jumped out, but managed to stay silent. "We just have to get past that guard, and we're in the safe zone." He whispered, indicating to the jackal on the hill.

Sunbeam

As Brendan walked by, Sunbeam jumped neatly out from behind the bush, landing in front of them. She nodded with a weak smile, starting to walk.

chell:well lets hurry the babies need food

Once they passed the hill, Brendan broke out into a run, heading towards the cactus. As they got closer, small peeping sounds coming from the babies could be heard. He frowned. "This time, we should get a rock to stand on."

Sunbeam

Sunbeam sprinted after the jackals, trying to keep up. When they arrived, she sat down, waiting the scene. Still feeling pangs in guilt for killing the parents.

He smiled. "Well what do you think? Chell, it's looking like you're going to get to snuggle with a baby owl after all. We might have to take care of them." He began searching for a decent rock.
