(It allows me to log onto it for some reason. And thank goodness I do absolutly nothing in JROTC xD)

"No matter how many crimes you committed, everyone still deserves a chance," she whispered to him as she closed her eyes. "It's always the innocent ones that get the crime," she mumbled, her face looking as if it was contemplating something. "Well-" she breathed as she stood up straight. "-I think I'm going to go to bed. This had been a long day for me. "Buona notte," she yawned as she kissed him goodnight. Kateliana lied down on the bed and covered herself with the blankets. She blinked a few times at Elton, then smiled and closed her eyes.

[Cloudsong]

Elton smiled. She was so forgiving. "Buona notte," he replied quietly. I'll wait until she falls asleep before going outside again, he decided. He didn't like the idea of sleeping inside... not yet, at least. There was too much on his mind, and he didn't believe he would sleep at all that night.

----Next Morning----

Kateliana woke up to the sound of birds singing in the woods around the tavern. She let out a moan, covering the pillow over her head. She wasn't ready to get up for the morning, and certainly not ready to get out of the comfy bed.

[Cloudsong]

Elton looked around the forest surrounding him, contemplating its beauty as the sun rose. There was a blanket of white on the ground; it had snowed the night before. Birds chirped around him, announcing their awakening to the world.

He let out a yawn, having slept badly that night. His dreams had been haunted, and his sleep restless. I hope Kateliana slept better than I, he thought, ruffling his hair.

Kateliana lifted her head when she noticed that Elton wasn't anywhere to be found. She immediatly jumped up from the bed, looking around the room. "Elton!?" she called out frantically. her heart was pounding, afraid that he had ran off into the storm the night before. Kateliana ran into the bathroom and put on her new white assassin clothing with her sword and hidden blade. She brushed her hair quickly before running out of the room and down the stairs. Dennis was sitting behidn the bar eating what looked like a bagel. "Have you seen my friend?" she asked, looking around the tavern. "No, signorina. I thought I saw him leave your room last night..." he mumbled. Kateliana's eyes were wide with terror as she ran outside of the tavern.

Elton leaned his head against a tree, looking up at the branches above. He watched a squirrel scuffle around above, a nut in its mouth. Its fluffy tail flicking with excitement, it scuttled off. His breath came out in clouds around him, and he watched them dissolve into thin air.

He was within hearing distance of the place, in case she called out to him, though he doubted she would. She was probably still asleep, he thought, smiling slightly.

Kateliana looked around for a moment, her breathing sounding as if it was coming in shallow gasps. "Elton!" she yelled out again, thinking that she wouldn't hear a reply. She was afraid that he ran off to the castle without her. She didn't want another scar like the one on his face to appear on him. It would make her feel like a failure, as if she had failed to keep him safe.

(My post is a fail too. I only have like 15 minutes left of this class so I have to hurry xD)

Elton's eyes opened quickly when he heard her call out. He instantly was walking towards the tavern. "What's wrong?" he asked, concerned at the look of distress etched on her face. "Did something happen?" His voice was quiet, yet suspicious; had the man visited her in a dream again?

(Woot! I'm back before 6th period math! xD)

Kateliana let out a sigh in relief when she saw him walking out of the woods. "I was just afraid you left, but why in the world did you sleep out here!? It was snowing last night! Elton you could have at the least slept on the floor of our room! Hmph," she growled, turning away from him. "Well, since we're out here I guess we could at least have breakfast. Unless you want to leave," she sighed, turning around and was about to go back to the tavern to pack up her stuff and get ready to leave.

"I'm used to the cold," Elton replied pleasantly. "And good morning to you too." He rolled his eyes. "You can eat breakfast; I'll wait out here." He didn't want to risk being caught; it would be easier to be recognized during the day, and if they informed the soldiers of his whereabouts, they might guess that Kateliana was with him.
