"No, Elton," Kateliana told him, grabbing his hand to keep him from going anymore. She pulled out the letter from her bag and handed it to him. She thought that maybe if he read it, he would understand the fear factor that she was going through. "I got this from a man, who has been following me since that dream. He gave me this, and I don't know how he did when the date on the letter is 5 years before I was even born..."

Elton stared at her for a moment, confused. Then he took the letter, reading through it quickly. His eyebrows creased as he read it twice over again. "Who was this man?" he whispered. How could he know all of the people attempting to kill her father? "Did you ever hear of him before this?" He knew perfectly well that if she was going to attempt to kill these people, he wouldn't let her do it alone. He wouldn't; she could die in the process.

"A man that I found in an old worn-out house. He gave me this-" she held out her wrist and snapped out the hidden blade with the quick flick of the wrist. "-And he gave me this sword; however when he gave me that scroll he disappeared... into thin air..." she mumbled, snapping the blade back into the wristband. She was still so confused and scared on who had given it to her. "He ws probably the same one that gave me these clothes," she added, holding out her arm and looking at the sleeve. "People don't recognize me here, which is strange. I'm so used to having people notice who I am wherever I go," she laughed slightly, then covered her face as a hard wind blew. "Could we go inside? I feel like I'm going to either freeze to death or blow away in this storm. We can talk in the room that I rented."

Elton opened his mouth to reply to what she had said about the man, then closed it. He hesitated before nodding. "All right," he agreed after a while. He would put his hood up so that no one would recognize him inside. Why would this man want Kateliana to kill these people, though? She had no training as a killer; how did he expect her to ever succeed?

"Grazie," Kateliana whispered to him as she kissed his scar. She put his horse in the stables next to her white horse, then guided him inside. Dennis looked over at Kateliana and the man she had brought in. "Ah, is this one of your colleagues?" he asked, laughing a bit at some joke Kateliana must have told him earler. "Si, he's a good friend of mine. I'm going to let him use my room tonight since he's been out in the storm all night. Grazie tante messure," she told him, smiling slightly to make the man smile back. "You take care of yourself Ms. Starr," he replied, then turned around and began to wash some more of his glasses. Kateliana giggled to herself at the name he used to call her. She wondered what Elton's reaction would be.

Kateliana took Elton's hand and guided him upstairs and to the very end of the hallway. She opened up one of the wooden doors, which led to a beautiful-looking room with flowers and a huge royal-coloured bed. "I'm way too rich," she joked, then closed the door behind them.

As soon as they were out of view, Elton removed his hood. "Ms. Starr?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow. His tone was sarcastic, yet amusement glittered in his eyes. "No one informed me of this marriage." He laughed slightly. He looked around the room, impressed as he saw the richness of everything. "Nice place," he commented. His expression turned serious again, however, when he looked down at the letter he still held. "What are you going to do about this?" he asked softly. "I'll help you, you know."

"It was the first thing that came into mind," Kateliana laughed slightly, punching him lightly in the arm. She sat down at the desk in the corner, folding her legs and looking over at Elton. "Help me? You mean, with these people?" she asked suddenly, getting up and walking over to him. She was surprised that he decided to help her so quickly. She had imagined him immediatly to say no and end up bringing her back to the castle. "Well, if you want to help, then go right ahead. I'm still getting used to this whole... assassination thing. I've been one of those 'royal beauties' all my life," she sighed, grabbing his hand and fiddling with his fingers.

Elton smiled. "Why was it the first thing that came to mind?" he asked mischievously. "Would you want to be Ms. Starr one day?" His tone was innocent, eyes bright with amusement. He didn't actually expect her to answer, so he continued. "You are beautiful, and I will help you." He leaned up against the wall, watching her with a thoughtful expression on his face. "I would help you no matter what, even if it was something incredibly stupid... But I'm just wondering what proof we have that this letter has truth." His

Kateliana glanced up at him, leaning on the wall next to him and putting her head on his shoulder. "Actually, I wouldn't really mind being called that. However I would want it Mrs. Starr," she giggled, closing her eyes for a moment. "If you want me to bring you to the old house where I found it, along with a few other scrolls on assassins, then I certainly can; however I don't want to go in the middle of the night. I'd much rather sleep here for one night, since I've been stuck sleeping in the forest and small beds for who knows how long. Royal beds are so much better," she whispered to him, smiling slightly.

Elton smiled. "Perhaps one day you might be," he said, raising an eyebrow. He didn't actually expect her to still want to marry him when this was all finished with. She'd want a stable future, he was sure of it. But I'm not going to bring that up now. He didn't want to ruin this moment by thinking about that.

"Of course," he agreed. "I'm sure you do miss the comfort of the palace." He didn't blame her; sleeping in the forest wasn't exactly comfortable.
