Hours and hours pass, as the two mythical birds continue to fly.
Eventually, as they traveled through the large, Pacific Ocean, which seemed endless, they spot a large - no, humongous tree, more of an oak, to be specific, one surrounded with several rock formations and other things.



The enormous being was shaped into some kind of city, and a fortress as well, dozens, if not hundreds of birds flew around. Owls, mostly.

"Inferno!
Look!
There it is!"

Cinder hastens her flight, excitement in her voice and flaps.

His eyes widened, very impressed with the place Cinder had led him to.

"Wow, this is wonderful!" He cried out, taking in the amazing sight.

He too speeds up his flight, anxious to land.

They soon do, as their claws find their way to a large landing platform, on which a few owls chatted.
Their eyes immediately noticed the two figures, and their eyes go wide and a smile is casted in their beaks.
Soon their calm arrival is interrupted, as a small owl, runs over to Cinder, pretty much swarming her as he excitedly hugs her.

"Cinder!
You're back!"

"Oh!
Hey there, Dusk'!
I missed you too."

Cinder smiles brightly, wrapping her wing around the owlet and nuzzling him, glancing over to her partner, giving him a fond smile.

Inferno was relieved when they finally landed, happily stretching his wings, which were in need of a rest.

It was clear Cinder had been here many times, and become close with the residents, judging from the way one of them ran over and embraced his partner.

He stands by watching her reunion with the small bird. The male Phoenix had to admit, the owlet was rather cute, with it's round face and big eyes.

When she smiled at him, he returned it with a slight nod, and a grin. Glad to see her so happy. "A friend of yours?"

Cinder nods happily in response to his question, giving the small one a kiss in his forehead before aksing him.

"Where are your parents, sweetheart?"

Cinder asks, to which Dusk soon responds joyfully.

"They're having a meeting with the king and queen, y'know how it is since they became guardians..."

"Well, I'm pretty sure they'll want to see me, the monarchs will want to know I'm here, care to lead the way, Dusk?
You can be our guide for my 7th visit."

To that, Dusk nods several times, as she hops away, gleefully.

"She's so adorable."

Cinder says, watching her take off running as fast as her tiny claws allowed her to.

Inferno nodded in agreement. "She really is."

He watches the little owl hop away, and couldn't help but smile. "So, should we follow her?"

He asked, looking at Cinder. "And you've been here seven times? Wow."

"We should."

She says, beggining to walk after Dusk, by Inferno's side.

"Yeah, though they weren't all as nice as this one.
On three of them, they were at war, and...
Let's just say the tree wasn't as pretty as it is right now."

Cinder frowns, not very fond of her own words.

He nodded as they followed the owlet.

"Oh. Well it's certainly nice looking now!" Inferno grinned. "Come on, I don't like seeing you frown." He paused awkwardly.

"So, did you help them in war or something? They seem to be your very good friends."

"I did.
It was the sole reason I was summoned by the gods those times, to bring back peace for this kingdom.
And sorry, it's just that, they lost a few allies during said conflicts.
I didn't really know them, but it's just sad to think about it."

Cinder adds, the frown only getting lighter.

"But you're right, bad memories won't bring them back."

She says, looking ahead, noticing the throne room was very near, Dusk by it.

"Seems like we're here, Inferno.
Before we enter, be sure to show respect, okay?
These are the monarchs of a whole organization of peacemakers, so they'll be rather wary about you.
But don't worry, I'll be there if they ask anything about you.
Just, don't be nervous. They don't like that."
